I'm so frustrated..How can I track a d9 w/o considering the rebranding.I saw alot of chips here theer are chips spinning around my ehad. And some microns from here resemble mine and some others resemble to.Dunno what to believe I have corsair value ddr667.I do not have a processor yet so I can't test the friggin' memory.
thank you for the clarification.
I have 4GB (4*1GB) of this awesome memory! (dirt cheap too!) - Now I can confirm:Quote:

Elpida is not too bad. My corsair xms2 sticks with elpida chips does 567mhz 5-5-5-10 2.1v..
@raydelee ,
How much cost those sticks and what is the max clock :D
Just got 900mhz on 4-4-4-12 (1:1 ratio) with my GeIL's - only on 2.10v too!

Buddy of mine is going to buy some Teamgroup RAM,
TVDD1024M667C4. Is that the D9GMH stuff?
And what's the difference between Team's TXDD and TVDD ram?
Does anybody know? X(treme) and V(alue)?
Is all crucial memory Micron D9 based? I'm mainly interested in knowing the IC's on the 667MHz Crucial Value stuff. Thanks.
Yes every crucial is D9 based. But don't expect every stick to be d9gmh, i'd bet they still produce D9DCN
Thanks. The max my memory can go in this Aopen is 820MHz anyway due to FSB limitation, so will DCN be able to do that at about 4-3-3-4?Quote:

I just got OCZ2N9001GK (OCZ PC2-7200 4-4-3-15 EPP 1GB kit) but most people just have info on the 4-4-4-15 stuff. Does anyone have any idea of the IC? Results are good, 3-3-3-4 @ 800MHz 2.2v's and 4-4-4-4 @ 1000MHz 2.3v's. I'm guessing D9 something.
Hihi Guys...1st post here...wanna ask GoriLLakos or any other who can help...

Hi there,
I've asked Cellshock about their serial number and below is the answer :)
Module version = CS number -> check homepage www.cellshock.eu
Then we also have Serial Number
#xxxxxx-xxxxxxxxxxx
#xxxxxx-xXX(month)XX(day)X(year)xxxxx
e.g. #083583-11025693360 batch is 25.October 2006
TMK, all OCZ memory PC8000 and above uses D9 chips, correct Ryder?
Yes.Quote:

Today i stumbled upon some Cheapo DDR2 modules.
They were Dynet make DDR2 533 CL4 Rated 512MB Modules. They were quite cheap for around 2250-2300 [ 48 $] for 512MB and come with 3 years warranty. :)
Here are some pics,

Well, the sticks are from Dynet and so are the chips saying so but CPu-Z says something different,
Heh ???
Well here are some screenies and results,
I used cheapo Asrock AM2NF6G Mobo with X2 3800+ ,this board has 4 steps of Vdimm options - Low,Normal,High,Ultra High. Thats it,so unfortunately i dont know how much VDIMM is provided at each level. I used Ultra High for testing. ;)

I was speechless by this. This is some killer RAM.
Although i had brought this home for testing purpose only,i think i will be keeping a pair of 512MB :P
Its based on BP PCB ,anyone know which chips could these be ?? they are rebadged. Anyone ?
someone can confirm this?Quote:

Would be amazing if its D9GKX, though it probably won't clock as well as the brand stuff(at least I reckon so). T1Cybernetic, you should try it and tell me what you find. :toast:
I wonder if Scan customer services will be able to tell us.
Scan arent my fav people :nono: they always mess with my orders :p: or forget to state items not in stock etc.
But at that price it's worth sending them back if they arent the right ones  if i had a system to test them
in i would snap them up and let you know but im still using a good old socket a system until i get some cash.
Ps, I still order from scan  i cant help it, it's the smell.
Maybe I'll have to buy one stick and see if its D9GKX, then buy another if it is.

Hello ,
is somebody know what kind of chip got this memory kitt http://www.ocztechnology.com/product...m_dual_channel
and somebody got this kitt? how much did u OC? now i did an OC at 900 Mhz 4.5.4.15 whitout input voltage..
what about that ?
Theres been a large price drop in DDR2 2 gig dimms. They can be found for under $400 now.
It would be nice to know what ICs are in the Gskils 4gig kits at newegg.

Hi,
I was about to place an order for my first self-build system, but thought i'd do a little research on the Corsair Twin2X2048-6400C4 that i was thinking of ordering (based on it being a good brand/Anandtech recommend). Other RAM also being considered as an alternative was the Geil GX22GB6400UDC 6400 Ultra.
Thanks to this forum and the posts in this thread, you guys saved me much regret later.
I'm glad that i came across your posts at this forum before parting with my credit card details.:toast:
Having read the posts thus far, I now realise that neither the Corsair or the Geil PC6400 memory contain Micron chips any longer.:nono:
At the moment i have narrowed my new search to the following three 2Gb PC2-6400 kits:
G.Skill F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ - Micron D9GMH ?? (£220)
http://www.memory-configurator.com/products/description/2Gb_G_Skill_DDR2_PC2_6400_HZ_Series_Dual_Channel_k it/index.html
CellShock CS2221041 - Micron D9GMH confirmed (£187) http://www.memory-configurator.com/products/description/2Gb_CellShock_DDR2_PC2_6400_800MHz-4_4_4_12-Dual_Channel_kit/index.html
Buffalo FireStix FSX800D2C-K2G - Micron D9GMH confirmed by following post 372 (£165)
http://www.gsquared.co.uk/acatalog/PC-6400.html
Okay, i was going to purchase the Buffalo Firestix FSX800D2C, and asked for confirmation from Buffalo support about the IC on their RAM.
Buffalo replied
However, Handle's post (posts 45-48) in the following thread had images of these Firestix having Elpida chips.Quote:
"All FireStic 800s are currently shipping with Mircon chips."
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...irestix+elpida
Attachment 55971
Attachment 55972
I wrote back to Buffalo for more info, but no response yet from them. Also the shop where these Firestix are available, can't confirm who the IC are by:stick:
While i'm making my first post here, are D9GMH as good as D9GKX chips, in terms of overclock performance?
Also is it true that the D9GKX chips that were once being used in many brands of PC6400 RAM, are now exclusively for PC8000+ sticks?
At current prices, PC8000+ sticks are out of my price range.
What about DDR3 coming along?
Being new to self-build, i will like to experiment with overclocking after the system has been assembled. This is my reason for going with quality overclockable RAM.
BTW, will probably go with the Asus P5B deluxe motherboard and Intel e6600 CPU.
Thanks for your views and time.
ridetherhythm
Okay received an email from tech support at Buffalo USA as follows:
Just requested more information from Buffalo support on whether there's any way to distinguish between the Micron and Elpida Firestix, since they both have the same Firestix product code (FSX800D2C-K2G).Quote:
"Currently the chips used are Micron D9GMH (B6-3)for FSX800D2C-K2G.
The DDR2 RAM list is somewhat correct. The incorrect part is where it states Elpida AG-6E-E (some).
Actually there was only one lot of Elpida based modules that went out around Oct or Nov 2006.
Other than that, everything we have ever sold has been Micron based.
Thank you,
Buffalo USA"
Might have different batch numbers or something to distinguish between them.
Here's hoping they can give a definitive answer on the subject this time round.
You will get Micron if you order Firestix now.
There was what, one isolated reported case of non-Micron Firestix?
Why are people still having fits over that...
If you order the Firestix now, you'll get Micron D9GMH 99.99% for sure.
 What is it ???
http://www.vmodtech.com/files/rendition-xxx_207.jpg
I think it look like D9DCN

Can anyone confirm whether the G Skill PC2-8000 ZX kits still use D9GKX IC's?
Thanks for contacting them, and that's a pretty good response. A little suspicious, but good none the less. Hopefully it'll set most everyone more at easeQuote:

Both the HZ and ZX use D9GMH if you gona pick from those off course tack the HZ , another option is the crucial PC8000
I'm just about to buy 2GB of DDR2. The ones I'm looking at are these.
G.Skill HZ 800MHz £160.96 - G.Skill/Proven clocker
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...d=8&subcat=813
Cellshock 800MHz Micron £164.49 - 8 Layer's!
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...d=8&subcat=813
Ballistix 5300C3 £129.24 - Best Price
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...odid=MY-088-CR
Ballistix 6400C4 £158.61 - It's no difference to the 5300 right, not worth another £30?
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...d=8&subcat=813
I have a 1GB kit of Ballistix 5300C3 ATM the moment, which does 1.25GHz 4-4-4-12 2.45v so I'm swayed to get a 2GB kit. What do you guys think?
what about these??
they are buffalo value ddr2 800 5-5-5-15
http://img248.imageshack.us/img248/1088/buffaloty4.jpg
are they micron?
i only see that they are no elpida
EDIT: the ICs look similar to the ones in post 354.
the small white circe in each IC is too little to be micron, isn´t it?
CORSAIR DDR2 TWINX 2x1024 -6400 800@5-5-5-12 HS=Black XMS2 chips???
Any updates on these sticks?
I have some, 4.1 revs that will only do 935MHz so I highly doubt there D9, just wondering what they might be?
Promo's, Elpida maybe? :)
Edit: Found it out, there QIMONDA
elixer. looks like it's a different form packaging, but if you look at the writing, the codes are similar.
http://ramlist.ath.cx/ic/
and do you know how these buffalo will overclock? or any other elixir.
should I buy them?
I also see that in the link you post elixir is a bit rectangular, while these buffalo look like a perfect square.
maybe hynix that are more square and have 3 rows of info? also the first row is similar:
512821 in hynix and 512845 in buffalo.
is there any link about how do more or less every IC overclocks?
dont know,
if they had written D9GKX it would be easier to identify them and i would be happier.....LOL
