I used 1.52/2.151/2.119/1.510 to get my X1900XT (BJ11 rams) to 702/801 rock solid.
With modified stock cooler (replaced fan with 80mm fan) I max out 72C core, 56C memory under hours of Farcry/LostCoast/AArmy.
With the STI services shut off, Im in "3D" mode all the time, dile is at 48C.... is there a way to get back the 2D/3D control while keeping ATI tool profile in effect for the 3D numbers? Im using the plain Control Panel, not CCC, from the FireGL Cat 6.3 package.
wow, I guess the XTX cores really are stronger. I can get 685/792 with 1.400v flat. Seems like a very small jump for 7mhz core and 9mhz ram for an extra 0.12v.
I can imagine too this: 772/891 1.475 on core.. stable no artefact, i can easy imagine there's a possibility to go higher if the memory is not OC..
You must make and save a 3D profile in ATI Tool, then go to Settings -> 3D detection. Enable 3D profile when 3D app is running, then back to Default (or a 2D profile if you want, I made one undervolting a bit) when 3D app closes.Quote:

Made two profiles... FAST and SLOW. Slow is like default, and fast is all the top settings.
Dont know what Im doing wrong though. Just vertical lines on loading SLOW, even though I boot to SLOW at windows start without issue.
I just set up several profiles one i label 2d ,3d and bench. You need to disable the the ATI hotkey and smart services. Then set up your profiles. You will need to adjust volts and fan speeds for each profile. This is how i set mine. Good Luck and hope this helps.
Has anyone tried flashing a Crossfire X1900 Master to XTX speed? I have one incoming and was considering going for it. I downloaded a BIOS Tuner by raBit to play with doing edits, and it only allows access to 2d clocks, or they are what shows up. meh.
I don't get this strange way of oc of x1900 series, why 4 voltages and why the hell does it freeze when I up frequency using latest ati tool :slapass: I am sick of this freezing, always restart. Maybe I should not use artifact scanner. I've oc so many cards but here I am feeling like complete noob :D

1.45v is the stock voltage in 3d mode for these cards.
and after you raise the voltage, then you can change the clock speeds (start at 650/775 if you have xtx, 625/725 if you have xt)
Played around a bit. I can bench @ 760/900 on water, 1.575/2.35/2.151/1.526
Oh well, I expected closer to 800 on water. I think it loves vcore :D Will try mounting my vapo on it :)

I seem to have a comparatively good core- running 680MHz with only 1.35v. I haven't tried further yet, just tried a healthy 55MHz OC with under stock volts and I've left it there to play with the RAM.
I can't seem to get mem to run 750 even.. with 2.0/1.9v on the RAM/buffers. I've still got VDDCI on default, as I've only started playing with it an hour or two ago. MVDDQ doesn't seem to affect the OC at all- I can have it at minimum 1.785 and it still gets all the way up to the 750MHz ceiling :confused: Mem voltage optimal seems to be somewhere in the middle of 2.0 and 2.1 lol haven't fully tested yet
I managed to get my core to 720 with vgpu 1.500 and my W/C. It can probably go higher with more core voltage ..
With memory though I'm having issues with anything beyond 792.. I tried many settings for VDDCI(<1.52 though I don't dare going higher) and different combinations for both mem voltages. Nothing..
Using a GeCube X1900XT and W/C with aluminum ramsinks..
Probably a crappy mem controller :nono:
Any ideas on what else to check to see if I can increase my memory o/c?

Does anyone have any tips to get it higher? I cant go over 670 cause when I do FEAR just crashes. It gets to 75 celcius max.

Hey, how come you get to 729/828 and I only get 669/774. We are not even so far appart with the voltages.
Anyone care to explain why everyone is getting higher clocks then me :P.
some cards can clock better than others... also i noticed when my temp is going up to 80°C its suddenly freeze...
so better temps will help i think.

My connect3D x1900xt@xtx [BJ11] goes up to 783/900 stable!
This is my voltage settings: 1.500, 2.140, 2.130, 1.486 for the moment it's been working out great. This is 24/7 settings. Got plans on making my watersystem more effective soon so i hope i can squeeze everything from it then.
You sound like you are very lucky to have a card that can clock that high with those voltages.... going for WR ? :DQuote:

Ok fast tutorial as it is everywhere if you search ;)
Make a New profile, name it 3D.
Go to Settings, voltages, then set the desired voltages. Apply and Save -> 3D
Then fan options too, depending on your cooling.
After that, you have to go to Settings -> 3D detection, and set it so it reads 3D profile when 3D app launches, and Default when 3D app closes.
Now you can overclock! its a real PITA, as the comp freezes if you go too far.
You can even make another profile named 2D, with 350/350 and very low volts so the card is cooler on Windows Desktop.

When i early in the morning benching (3d 203&05) everything work fine but when i now want to play cs:s my system freeze after 10 s of playing:S so what could be wrong
i have unclocked my proc to 2.4 ghz (12x200 at 1.5 v) but system still freeze i have unclocked my graphic card, to 600/750 problem is still there so what the :banana::banana::banana::banana: is wrong :S

You should make ATI Tool log the temperatures. After a crash go and check the bottom of the .log because temps can be the problem. Also, maybe this sound obvious, but are you sure you saved the high voltages to the 3D profile? It happened to me the first time I used ATI Tool :D
For 738 / 864 on my HIS X1900XTX and air cooled via Accelero X2, my voltages according to ATItool beta14 are:
GPU - 1.575
MVDDC - 2.220
MVDDQ - 2.140
VDDCI - 1.564
I have found these are stable with no artifacting in 3Dmark06', 05 & 03. :)
I don't know if anyone else has tried CATS 6.5 (Beta) but I did and it still giving problems with ATiTool as it does with CATS 6.4. This really sucks, I guess I may have to go back to CATS 6.3. Anyone else??

Rovtar, you can save the voltages to any profile you like from the page where you tune the voltages.
to default profile you can't :S
The Default profile is unchangeable, but as we said you have to make a 2nd profile AND save voltages. Applying doesn't save btw ;)
ATI Tool is a bit picky at first, you've got to:
make profile | settings | change values | apply | save | back | save profile | etc :D

BTW a bit /OT, is there any way of getting css without steam? I hate that app since CS1.6 (first time Valve used it right?)

So far 711|810 on both cards with ATi Tool. Voltages 4.45|2.091|2.091|1.498. Stock air cooling. May be moving to water.
Since Crossfire runs async, if that is the limit of the master (711|810) I will simply keep moving up the XTX (Flashed XT). I haven't experimented enough with different voltage settings enough yet to say that is the master's limit for certain.

but i have problems again.. i have tv tuner in one of the pci slots.. and when i run software(i have tried other software) which belongs to tv tuner computer freeze :S everything is working just fine (sound...) but my monitor draws yellow, blue.. screens and i have to restart
Hmmpfff.... AtiTool is giving me the finger... every time it crashes when I apply settings I know are good..
With the classic control panel and stock clocks I get 11928 on 05
With CCC, which is the only tool which let me OC without freezes, I get 12156 in 05 with 675/690 on the clocks simply because it's bloated beyond belief.. :slapass:
I agree about cat 6.4's - crappy overclockers compared to 6.3's, this is with ATItool being used. Have'nt tried the 6.5 beta's yet and won't till' official 6.5 release. :)Quote:

It works great. It clocks between 2D/3D (hardware monitoring) and OC higher (715/830 default voltage and stock cooling) than ATITool (700/830 default voltage and stock cooling)!

Not sure (as everyone) what does VDCCI do, but try to raise it, maybe that helps. I have a Sapphire XTX too and my max on stock cooler is 1.550/2.151/2.???/1.501 729/855 fan 100%. More speed or voltage makes the card freeze. I've ordered a vf900Cu. Only for the noise. I only hope temps are at least as low (or high :D) as with the stock cooler.

i took the x1900xt to the store to put the v1 ultra (the memory solution they gave me) and they broke my card. it simply doesn´t work.
i don´t know if they are going to give another one..... there are diferent stores where i bought and where they put the V1 ultra.

the other question i have is that in the v1 ultra, i get some grey thermal pads for the 3 memories that are under the heatsink. have to be this pads in contact with the main heatsink???? are they good enouth for cooling????

hi everybody!!!!!
i tried to install this cooler on my x1900xt and the results where very good. i install it with two funs too, that it´s an extra for temperatures.
but it has a problem. 3 of the rams can´t use the pasive heatsinks because they are blocked under the big tool (heatsink) of the gpu.
somebody know how to fix this???? i can try this::::
1º the package comes with some grey thermal pads to put on the top of the memories. this pads will touch the mail heatsink and get cooler with the extra fun.
2º in the 3 rams, 2 are kind of outside of the big heatsink and one just under it. so bend 2 of the pasive memories heatsinks to right and left, and maybe the center one just cut it to the maximum and put arctic silver 5 on the top for just to touch the main heatsink and get cool from there.
i already purchase it and i know it can give great results, that´s why i want to try.

I have the standard his x1900xtx, got a very good batch i think. kan go 740-750/850-860 on original volts damn stable. Thats watercooled. :)

well, i have it here.
i´m a bit disappointed with the his x1900xtx iceq3. it´s not bad, but i expected more from it.
the maximum overclock stable i can get is---
core at 1´5v---------- 711mhz----temperature-----76ºC load
memory at 2´140v----- 850mhz----temperature-----51ºC load
the memories are good and i´m happy with it, but from the core i expected at least 730mhz......
i´m using the atitool and atitraytool.
are the temperatures ok for only play games????
uhh this is poor result
i can run this freq. with stock cooler
and how much voltages do you get for you overclocking???
