anybody willing to order for me?
anybody willing to order for me?
@Punisher! - no problems with cold boot with my board. Disconnected the power for 15 min and then plugged back in and booted up just fine. The earlier versions of Asus P67 boards did have a cold boot problem but was fixed by a B3 bios revision and/or "enable wakeup from PCI-E" in the bios. Also turned it on first thing in the morning (it's winter time) in a cold office this morning and was just fine too. Did my 1st hour Prime95 first thing this morning (cold boot) and the second 2 hr Prime95 right after the disconnect.
@Alex Ro - well tried 1.5v and 1.55v - both BSOD'ed around 45 min on Prime95 blend.
However...here is 2 hours Prime95 blend @ 1.6v vdimm @ 9-10-10-28 1T DDR3 2133 at the same 4.8ghz 4C8T :)

They just got a dollar cheaper @ the Egg and I guess these are keepers!
15min. off is not a cold boot. 8 houres off is a cold boot here :D.
Well guys I have ordered 3x4g M378B5273DH0-CH9 . This are not the low profile version. I will update with the X58 platform results and see if they perform as good as with the x79 platform :)
Cool. I am curious about P55 myself.
Already did 2 hours of Prime95 which I consider a better test than linX/LinPack for stability but that being said linX usually will pick up any errors in the first 5 runs:

IC's seemed fine but you'd be hard pressed to find a sized to fit sleeve heatspeader I think for these low profile kits - makes me think of the old Zalman blue ramsinks that came with their vga cooling kits!

Wow, so good, even if Blend tests only 1600MB, you should choose "Blend" and then "Custom" putting the right amount of RAM to be addressed (example: 7000MB). Click on my signature for the result.
Nice results Barr3l Rid3r!
I am sorry, you are totally wrong:
http://digilander.libero.it/m4puni/prime_main_1.jpg
MEMORY TO USE (MB): 1600 so it uses 1600mb (first mistake)
Second mistake is that MEMORY TO USE has nothing to do with larger blocks size.
You should actually test as I have just told you for better test with respect to memory stability.
Blend, then custom and put 7000 instead of 1600.
Happy to report these modules are working very well on the X58 platform for me. You can hardly see the ram when they're installed they are sooooo small. Modules are running 2Ghz 1.5V. at 10 11 10 31. Currently at work but will post screenshots tonight. Haven't had time to play around with timings yet as I just got them last night. More test coming tonight.
Awww, suppose I'll be sticking to my 7-8-7 1900 mhz 2 gb sticks then. These are good compared to most 1600 mhz ram, but slower than decent 2 gb sticks on X58.
Ok PiLsY
Ok Punisher!
Added Custom Prime95 run: According to linX available testing memory was 6.7gb. Set Custom memory to 6.7gb, and min/max FFT's to 720k. Ran over an hour just fine no errors!

I think you mean these Patriot DDR3 2000's:

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Patriot-P...item1e69740a97
Yeah that enough of a stability test for pretty much anything you can throw at it.
I run it overnight - mine always dropped out a thread (and the other 3 followed within 5 mins) between 6 and 8 hours on the custom test. Blend w/7000mb would run for 24 hours no hassle.
Even then though I got the odd issue booting up. A common one was typing in the windows password and getting a completely blue background screen and nothing more. Quick tap of reset and itd boot straight in and be fine all day. I dont think bios support is quite there yet on the 6 series chipsets for this ram.
Having said that the 1600mhz kits are vastly superior to the 1333mhz kit I got. I really would stick to the 1600mhz kits if anyone is considering buying.
Wonderful!
Was able to lower my voltage to 1.55vdimm for custom Prime95 6.7gb 720k fft's - 9-10-10-28 1T 2133:

http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/g...rime95155v.jpg
Yeah thats sweet dude. Have you pushed bclk at all for 2200mhz?
My 2600k doesn't like anything over 100 for some reason, so no but happy with 9 10 10 28 2133.
yeah i know exact how to search specially cauz i told you this place at first or you forgot lol ?
if u are mad at me get me on PM or personal but when ppl here ask just point straight link not a "to search for"
121 post and you act like this...i think you will have no future on this forum lol
(aaa i understand u r collecting posts to buy stuff i guess )
You never told me that place first of all, and second who seems to be mad is you. Let's keep on the thread subject.
I was tempted into getting these...
They are only $40 per 2x4gig pairs.
Samsung is good stuff but it seems they are falling behind a bit.
When I think of these sticks of samsung, I think of ddr3 at 2.4ghz on vga cards with a maxed out tREF bios mod.
I'm always one that goes for the best I can find at the cheapest I can find it.
So these samsungs aren't for me, but they do look good.
Another generation or 2 and these will be some good stuff.
any updates where or how to get them in europe?
Still nothing but I think you could give a chance to these:
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...1.5V-DDR3-Kits
Available in Europe too and they seem really good. I personally won't buy any Crucial memory anymore (because of their faulty memories in the past and worst support ever) but they perform flawlessy.
Newegg won't ship to the EU?
The 1st alternative that comes to mind is trying to find them on pricewatch, if that site even exists anymore.
Or trying google shopping to attempt to find a online retailer.., ie search for samsung PC3-12800 as a starting point..
Well that is messed up, huh...
Yup, hate newegg 'cause of that, since forever. Been following these thread closely and opened every link you guys posted for buying these but alas, no luck. Or you can get some for crazy prices cause of shipping. Europe is a hardware doom. :(
We need a representative in US! Do you hear me newegg!?
Found the high-profile sticks in the Netherlands. This is the current status:
Mem at 1.6v
Cpu at 1.375v
2x4GB
http://tweakers.net/ext/f/lFCix7Spp6...MtGzv/full.jpg
Quite anoying Samsung itself is not "sending" this memory to EU retailers?!!!!! EU market 300-350mio people not big enough?
Are these the correct Samsungs?
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Electr...8263295&sr=1-1
... they wont ship to me anyway ....
:(
yes they're and don't ship to EU.....HOW ON EARTH i can't get them? WHERE DO I LIVE? ON MOON?
tedy - get punisher to send you a set, maybe just across the border from you....
:)
punisher is from italy....
Tedy have you looked at ebay ?
this are 100% same as amazon's 40$ ? hm, they send from USA....so i can virtually add 20% custom tax to the price....which makes is total 53+10 = 63$ + 20% tax....around 80$ i'll pass i guess.
Could you guys get them directly from korea somehow or perhaps from hongkong/taiwan?
You'de figure they'de be all over asia...
my local microcenter still has a lot of them
that doesn't help me you know....is there a service like http://www.consegnato.com/ ? to send you EU and then to SLOVENIA?
These Samsung are great fun.. for low cost Ram.. now at... (correction..) 2500mhz (timings not bad)..
running at 1.59 V Dimms .. for 2400mhz
running at 1.65 V Dimms .. for 2500mhz
... now to refine the settings
That's nice dude!
I just hating my cpu or bios right now, can't test how stable is that cause CPY-NB lower than 10x are not stable at all.
but it can run spi 32mb even at 2440Mhz @ 1,60v but NB isn't prime stable at 2500mhz, if I set higher voltages cpu will freeze, anyway I can bench w/ NB set at 2640 1,33v
linx don't test ram too much
yes it surely uses a lot of ram, but it doen't use random patterns much in storage.
Prime blend can find mem problems w/ less than 3hrs, while it might run for a day in linx
Actually even hyperpi 32mb it's better for that
Linx is the best one to find CPU related problems, 2hrs of it it's more than enough
On my Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3, four pieces of these passed HyperPI 32M, but bombed out of Prime95 blend within 30 minutes.
1866MHz, 9-9-9-28-1T. Testing with 2T now. For those testing with Super/HyperPI 32M on Z68, you might wish to try other stress testing software.
I must quote. If you are testing RAM you should definetely use a real RAM stress test like Prime95 Blend but then custom and putting the right amount of memory to be tested because Blend tests just 1600MB by default.
HyperPI or Linx do not test them much at all. Passing them does not assure you about the risk of random BSOD in real-use too. Moreover a cold stress testing is even more realiable about full mem. stability.
Cold stress testing?
I'm kinda out of touch, my previous rig being AMD AM2 and DDR2. You mean like leave the PC off for 24 hours, then turn it on and run Prime 95 immediately?
EDIT:
I'm using the latest version of Prime 95 v27.2. Even if I key in 6000 MB for custom, the Task Manager shows that Prime's only taking up 3.99GB. Is there some OS limit that an app can not take up more than 4GB?
Guys, what can I expect to get out of these at 1.5v on Sandy? Im just after 24/7 settings for a bit of benching and stable gaming.
Kako si Tedy? Ramexperts has these on ebay now with free worldwide shipping, thats where Im getting mine from. (edit: mistake on the free post ...)
Edit: I just saw this was mentioned on the last page, do you pay tax on ebay items?
:)
Nor prime nor linx will test memory as they should, HCI MemTest, 6 instances of 1024 (cases of 8192mb) 500% will definetly test stability on memory.
But the ram will be stable Andre with HCI memtest... nothing to do with CPU, nor mobo...
well from our experience it has something to do
u can pass overnite memtest and fail...even a game noone here can assure that linx, memtest, prime or whatever is the best test you know that leg we shared a lot of experiences on this since 775
reall life is what counts, game hard, let system idle, etc
HCI memtest in winblows not memtest we all used before...
Ok guys I finally got around to it!
You can read about it here:

I will stay in this forum as long as I want, so you can leave if you want to, and stop bashing with comments as you did before. I said about HCI memtest and you started as always. Do not quote my comments anymore please.
They'll be fine at 1.55-1.6v for 2133 9-10-10-28 1T:

What's a good 24/7 clock at 1.5v ??
:)
How hard/long have you guys pushed these kits @ 1.55v(+)?
Seems a little high for 30nm to me... Just wondered how rugged they are.
They're not that expensive, but I'd like to get atleast a year out of them... ;)
They are rated too both 1.35V and 1.5V.
Look, in the middle:

Other tracer variants available...looks like these sticks do 2133 CL9-9-9 at less than 1.65v pretty easy. Not sure if you can find them in Australia...
Thanks for the advice on voltage folks!
Been working on stability with this kit on AMD FX and I'm getting pretty close... ;)
Core 8 failed after18 minutes of Prime Blend (Custom 6GB usage), but I'm still not sure it was a mem problem.
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...rt/Samsung.png
If nothing else, this kit is ALOT of fun to play with and I'm sure I'll get it settled down with decent results!
Is anyone running this ram in a Rampage IV Extreme? I installed 16GB of this Samsung memory last night and Windows 7 is only recognizing 12GB of it even though the BIOS and CPU-Z is showing all four DIMM's installed and I'm having stability issues with Windows not wanting to start and it wanting to run a repair when I reboot. I swapped out the Samsung for a 4x4GB G. Skill 1600Mhz kit and everything is working fine so I don't know if I've got a bad stick or if this Samsung memory is just not going to play well with the Rampage IV.
My samsung M378B5273DH0 set (HCH9 IC's 1333 CL9 @ 1.50v) at first boot :)

No worries its @ auto :D
Awesome ram there Viss:up:
Definitely up there with the way more expensive 2400/2600 capable rams
Thanks Dumo  They are $24 here in NL for 4GB stick which is a steal. A little loose timings for benching but for a daily rig a good deal.
About the same price here...still we need good cpu to make it happen:)
Guys with z77 supporting DDR3-2800 do you think 1155 will adopt 2011 mem characteristics? If so then these rams might work even better on z77 than z68 right? How much real world difference would you notice between four sticks of these at $100 compared to a high end quad channel kit worth $500+ ??
:)
