Is watercooling Uk attempting to build this case??
I like this case very much!
Crossing my fingers that the threadstarter will find a manufacturer!
the version without the frontpanel looks great.
maybe it will be the new tj07 killer :D
where i can buy it ?! :D
How about blue?
http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/k...se-mkII-76.jpg
More Black...
http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/k...se-mkII-77.jpg
I like the white one the most :D
The red color let's me think about ferrari, and blue ... I don't know :P
Black is the one I'd go for simple yet sophisticated.
i like the black the best but maybe try black with white accents ??
hmm i wish i could have it :)
colour doesnt mess because i could paint it :)
love the design! just curious how long the cables for the power/reset switch & USB/front audio panels are gonna be...might be a PITA in cable management.
A white one and a black one IMO.
I agree, it's a shame that the basic version of SketchUp doesn't export a more usable file type. However, I believe the Pro version can export several usable CAD type files. I unfortunately, do not have the funds to purchase the Pro version or any other 3D software worth using!
Mick, u did all that using just SketchUp basic?
Brushed aluminium would have to be my favourite. Black and plain silver.
These cases are gorgeous tbh, I love the layout. One thing, make the grill at the front of the big front fan match the colour of the case. I really don't like it (doesn't look clean), when it is black compared to the rest of the case being silver/white etc. :)
I've been playing around with some more colour combinations over the past few days. Some of these are a bit OTT, but they do give you some idea of the posibilities...

Orange + Black interior is SICK!
I also like the Black + White interior. :)
I'd buy either the all black or the black exterior + white interior in a heartbeat. Really hope this gets brought to market
I saw this on the EVGA forums (I have the same username there.) Great work, I truly hope you get some financial backing for this project. This case is every enthusiast's wet dream!
This being my very first post on these boards, I'm so glad to have found this thread. I really hope this product comes to fruition. I bet every single person in here would buy one.
Those look absolutely awesome.
Black with white interior is my favorite.
simply amazing. I remember seeing this when it was about 2 or 3 pages long. and now you've blown this into something completely full out Awesomeness.
I would get this case if it was cheaper than the TJ07. but we will see.
Great work. Rep+ for you.. even though we don't rep here. lol
Tried a render with some components installed. Unfortunately there are not many SketchUp components available. Think I've found some better graphics cards for next time though! Also think the paint is too glossy.....

^ I can has invertedATX render, please?
:)
do u have one who build that awesome case ore is it only future design and hope ?!
I'll see what I can do. If and when I get some time.
We all live in hope! There is a possibility that a case will be built based on my design, but it's early days. Even if it does happen, it will be some time in the future. Sadly, it may never be a product available to purchase if production costs are not viable....
would you put some pictures of him with more hardware in the case painted red, because I think red would be much better and more beautiful!
Here's another render with components installed....
Parts:-
Thermochill PA 120.4 rad with 8x 38mm fans and 38mm shrouds in push-pull.

That is freaking awesome man
Thanks :)
wowwww
thanks, we got beautiful! if I had a case of paint well!
good luck with your project
Mick64 you have a stunning case design.
I am surprised that Silverstone has not advanced their TJ07 too this level of refinement. The triple chamber design to isolate the radiators is simply brilliant. Not to mention other features that you have thoughtfully and carefully designed as well. Extremely versatile design to say the least.
Right now I see no company providing a case that matches the style, features and capabilities of your case design. Particularly in regards to the form and simple beauty that your design evokes. Lian Li - Silverstone  And versatility Mountain Mods
Getting back to functionality:
Fitting in two radiators at the bottom of the TJ07 has been the standard practice for years. Usually a triple rad along side a double rad. Or even a quad rad nesting with a double rad.
One rad pulling in fresh air and the other pulling the air out. Or One rad pulling in fresh air and the other rad pushing the air out. Or again One rad pushing in fresh air and the other rad pushing the air out. And so on and so on.
Fitting in two radiators at the bottom of the TJ07 is good, but still a compromise in performance - as neither radiator - is given proper access to a push/pull setup with shrouds.
I personally - do not like the idea of spending several hundred dollars on radiators and then not being able to get the performance I paid for.
Your design allows for maximizing radiator performance like no other case that I have seen on the market.
Lian Li ! Silverstone ! Mountain Mods! Step up to the plate please.
We as your customers; past, present and possibly future - Need this case.
Mick64 has just out-designed three major players in the pc case market.
Job well done Mick64
I am waiting very impatiently to purchase this case - Silverstone. If you want more of my hard earned money you are going to have to make major improvements on the TJ07.
I DON'T NEED TWINS !
I NEED THE Mick64 UltraFlow TJ08 !
Steeeeeel.
I would order one of these immediately, regardless of cost......NICE WORK!
I would build my first watercooled PC if this case was available
Beautifull, Amazing, The Right stuff!!!
you sir have just visualized my dream case FULL STOP
I am waiting impatiently to see who will bring this to the market.
This is my first post :D
you finally got it right
the screen at the top is perfect use
other than that fan controller you could switch out its perfect
in the red one the mobo looks inverted i think ?
lets get a window shot on both :D
I'm more and more amazed every update. I've been considering the W/C plunge and this case would do it for me. Any of you vendors out there please take note and get this thing to market. Silverstone could do it. Perhaps we can get Redbeard at Corsair to take a peak for their new chassis line?
Yeah I really like this desgin. It's very well planned out, and precise. I think this would sell if it was on the market. So get selling!
which case has inspired you ?!
maybe i think about to build this one :/
Added some tubing. Two simple loops, one for the CPU and the other for the GPU's. Personally, I would also add motherboard cooling to the CPU loop as well, but haven't got time to add those in my render. Used black tubing with compression fittings. Kept the red theme, as I think it goes well with the motherboard and graphics cards....
http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/k...I-Piped-02.jpg
Apologies, if you've already seen this in my other thread...;)
That look's terrific dude. I must say though, it is humongous lol.
To make it more overkill, better yet make another loop on NB/SB and the memory :D
so do you have any plans on getting this manufactured?
Check Watercoolinguk forum. Marcus from watercoolinguk is working with Mick on the potential possibility in fabricating this case. It looks like Marcus will have a prototype in the near-ish future...
Yes this is true, but it's a long way from being a prototype! Don't get your hopes up just yet. Even if the prototype gets built, it doesn't mean that it will be available to purchase. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this will be the final outcome, though! :)
Nice design. Dont sell it to other companies. Contact an engeneering firm that specialises into making custom metal pieces and ask them for the manifacturing price of lets say, 200 sample. You will need to provide them with CAD file extention or something more specific. Ask if there is anyone on the forums that can help you with this. The 3D concept you created is nice but maybe it doesnt follow technical constraints like bending metal/cutting type/price.
I can ask my friend if he can help you, he is a student at engeneering school.
he has already been in contact with Protocase, who is exactly what you describe. They take anything from a full CAD drawing, all the way to a hand drawn picture on a napkin, and turn it into a working mechanical drawing of your case, and generate prototype cases based off that design.
Ah :banana::banana::banana: i havent read all the thread i was actually about to call the School and ask them.. ehe.
Ok so tell us whats the news with Protocase then
Nothing from Protocase, because apparently there is a place in the UK that was interested in doing it for cheaper
Worse comes to worse, though, I am thinking about getting Mick to send me the Google Sketchup drawing so I can get one built by Protocase, if nothing pans out with the UK thing.
looks great but that divder at the mobo tray dont see use for it
looked better without it
There's no divider. I think you're referring to the gap between the motherboard tray and the case back-plate.
It looks this way because the rampage motherboard is larger than standard ATX, but is not full eATX.
It is difficult to cater for all the various sizes of motherboard now available....
I might want to build this case for myself, but I'll first have to look into the costs (I have very limited recources because i'm just 16 years old).
But is it okay to use your design and maybe make a few changes. And if it's okay do you have any technical drawings i could use?
Amazing work mate, black&white ftw. :)
Now with Bitspower Rampage waterblocks in the CPU loop......
http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/k...Piped-03-1.jpg
yesss I like the red int
Its looks really amazing apart from its way too big, if you reduced it down by a third it would be more manageable.
Amazing work dude!
Sure it is on big side of things, but with the amount of stuff that fits there is not really a way to make it smaller, every other case sacrifices something, this one doesn't, so for some it is perfect.
The possibility of a smaller version of it was mentioned though:up:
I would go with the white outside and black inside, but that would depend on your current setup (mouse, keyboard, and monitor). But I've always wanted an all black system soo...
Really up to you man!
My favourite, all black....
http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/k...I-Piped-05.jpg
How about an all silver one?
Is a single 120.3 enough for CF or SLI setup?
Wow, haven't checked on this thread in a while, the design and rendering of the components has come a long way. Great job. The case may be on the big side, but look at how much room you have to work, airflow, space for components, everything. It's nice.
How long is it until the first prototype?
wow, i would so buy this. great job on the design.
Another shot at all black, different lighting.....
http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/k...ed-06-1024.jpg
OMG! Thats a pretty cool concept right there. If those were to be sold around, I would buy one to replace my U2-UFO and Stacker. Love the all Black one. But a Silver with Mirror finish could kick some major arses! Heh :D
I love the case, but I would be concerned about the length of cables and wires for drives, power and reset buttons, fan controller wires etc. That is quiet a distance from the front of the case to the mobo.
may cause some problems with available cable lengths.
-J
It looks like it is freaking humongous, thats a lot of crap to cram inside of a case
Crap?!?!
I am sure that he means "stuff to cram inside the case" :)
Quick question on cable management. On your renderings, you don't have a PSU inserted into the case, are the slots between the MOBO and reserviors large enough to accomodate sleeved cables. Do you expect enough room to feed power cables to the GPUs while also running tubing from the bottom radiator? Everything else I like, it's big but its a beauty.
Thanks for the compliments. There is plenty of room for cable management. There are slots on both sides of dividing sections. The ones nearest the motherboard would be used for the cables and the others used for the tubing.
Here's a couple of animations, so you can compare my case design with the SilverStone TJ07 and the Lian Li V2000....
http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/k...cox64/TJ07.gif
http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/k...ox64/V2000.gif
holy jesus christ :O, for the love of god, THAT THING IS HUGEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
Watercooling freaks rejoice :)
I'll buy it!! :) Tons of space for everything and anything! Lol, a case that's actually bigger than the Lian Li V2000!!!!
Mike
Its clean lines remind me somewhat of the new FT02 coming out from Silverstone. very sick case.
Mick, some questions for you.
1) How did you import the file from Sketchup to Kerkythea? what file type? I haven't played around with it too much yet...impatient LOL!!!
2) I have similiar designs made out of Acrylic, although not quite as big and not enough room for rads on top. Im talking 24" x 24" (600mm x 600mm) designs. I would love to take a crack at making this masterpiece out of acrylic when I get the chance... if you will allow me to? This time around it won't contain acrylic rod or tube.
I have started my new venture into case building out of Acrylic, laser etching/engraving services, custom case fabrication. Eventually I hope to move into metal as well. Got to start somewhere!
You can find where I started here: http://www.evga.com/forums/tm.asp?m=100586089
and here: http://www.evga.com/forums/tm.asp?m=100755309
and finally here: http://www.evga.com/forums/tm.asp?m=100738124
I am at a pause right now as my laser cutter is set to arrive in 30 days.
You have an awesome case design and excellent skills with sketch up and kerkythea...my hats off to you!
Thank You,
Kirk (Gone Cruising)
Yes, it would all be done myself.
I just noticed...your a few miles north of the border from me!
Fantastic build! You deserve every success in your new venture! Your SketchUp skills aren't bad either!
Thanks for the compliments! SketchUp models are actually exported from SketchUp into Kerkythea. There is a plug-in for SketchUp available on the Kerkythea website.
Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions....
Thank you! and I will definitely be asking the questions!
So no case company is interested? Truly amazes me!!
Did you find out how much that prototype place will build it for? I would definitely donate some funds for you to get it made and perhaps some other folks as well. Imagine if everyone that viewed your masterpiece donated $20 to $30. Then once the design is finished and you have all the correct specs, you can find a shop to build it on demand...someone wants it, then they pay up front to have it built. Just a thought!
Thanks Prada! It may be a little too big for Acrylic, maybe not, but in time I'll purchase the right metal working equipment and build them for Mick and I'll send him royalty checks for his design...
Well start another thread!
looks good, but I am still 100% pure brushed BLACK aluminum :D
Aluminium +1
Wow. What a great way to spend a half hour in the middle of the night. I really like this case. I think the paint job could make this case work in steel - the two tone black and red would look great.
Really nice.
