There are some awesome rigs in here, too many to mention but I wish I had bought the 2000 or the 1000 plus as I can't really do much else with mine, damn pa120.3 is huuuge. I moved up to 4gb since the pic.
Could put than put the rad on the roof and get space for X2 CF... Hmmm...
Keep it up and I'll be popping in from time to time to drool
My new Alphacool 120mm rad in my rig:D

Machined :) , not by me :)
I just got my v2000 a few days ago, and I've been wondering whether or not to use the duct. I know if I use the duct, then the fan should be intake; right now I'm not using the duct and the fan is exhausting.
I'm using the stock Intel cooler until WCing in a few months. Until then, should I use the duct? Should the fan be intake or exhaust? Should the duct be at more of an angle, or should it run alongside the side of the case?
Full size;

;)
@ Rockford, that is utter beauty! Are those silverstone fans? What kind, cfm, noise etc? I like it a lot more than your avatar rig, and I loved that one as well!
Thanks;)
Fans are Silverstone FM123:

106cfm max:D
@ RockfordFosgate I'm considering doing a similar setup, and I was wondering what kind of temps are you getting.
I would like to know the temps for everything eg. load/idle temps for CPU, GPU, NB, and SB.
Thanks
Ok so i know that this isn't a Lian Li per say but technically it's the same case. it's a Tagan Black Pearl which is pretty much an exact twin of the V2000B.

Hi can anyone on hear tell me how i can mount my hard drives to the dvd slots at the front of my lian li 2100b. can you get the mounts used on the Fusion LQX Cepheus Q80
beatiful tagan case
=)
I'm not too sure about the exact model he used in the Q80 but the silverstone drive cage is pretty similar:

I would love to have 2 V1000's together but cost and mobility limit me. In the future hehe, till then I'll just enjoy looking at yours
Feser Black of course
All your cases are so sweet.
Anyone selling? I'm buying! :D
me . . .
I don't use the duct and I have the fan exhausting. For some reason if you ask a stock fan placement question in this thread it just gets ignored in favor of case :banana::banana::banana: and apparently mountain biking -page back a little bit and you'll see I've asked similar questions 3 times. IMHO stock fan placement for the v2000 and 1000 would be a good baseline for anyone looking at this thread who purchased this case. I personally have the v2000+ which has the side window with the PCI slot fan mounted in it. I have that fan blowing on my GPU directly, the fan behind the CPU is exhausting hot air and my Zalman 9500 is blowing right into it. I added an intake fan in the middle 3 drive bays that blows right at the cpu (this case should've had an upper intake fan IMHO), the bottom fan is an intake as well, and there are 2 80mm fans exhausting right above the PSU. I hope this is helpful, and if anyone has other opinions about fan placement please be forthcoming with them because, I've asked 3 times in the appropriate thread about the case in the title.
Hi All,
I just found this thread and want to share some pictures of my old systems in the V2000 case.
(Sorry for bad quality pictures)

looks like a vadim system???
like that lasercut panel though :)
Thanks for the reply, I just wanted to make sure I was getting all I could out of the case :)
And I agree that some questions do get ignored...I hadn't noticed the mountain biking page before, but now that I do, I'm left to wonder why my v2000 question was ignored, while an off-topic subject was discussed
damn there's a lot of sexy rigs out there. Keep'em coming!:D

my watercooling thread help and advice needed xs linkage
I'm thinking about buying a Lian Li but I cant decide which model...
v1000B plus II
or
v1200B plus II
How big is difference between these two? And I was thinking about getting the v1000B only because you could by a special v1000 side-window panel, maybe it fits the v1200b too?
Please help me out guys!
The v1200 is a longer case, I think its a good 5-6 inches longer if I remember correctly, so it can take eatx boards. So the side panel for the v1000 will not fit.
The v1000 is a very nice case, but if you need lots of room the v1200 is the way to go.
the v1000 is perfect for air, the v1200 is perfect for a large watercooling system or lots of hard drives. All of the V series are beautiful and you won't regret buying one IMHO.
All these nice Lian Li V2000s make me want to get one. -looks at wallet- I could go without food for a couple days :P
Definitely some nice V2000/V2100 setups around here. May have to post my my system once I get the side panels cut.
V1000 is tight for psu length if you use both lower drive cages.
If I bought now after building my V1000 Duallie I'd get V1200 or V2000.
With both drive cages in the lower section even a Corsair HX-620 is a tight fit lengthwise and any 750 watt psu on the market is too long.
question for the guys that have the rads in the bottom of the case with air blowing down, have you cut holes in the bottom or have you just left it so that the air goes through the case holes
The holes would be too restrictive; I'd at least cut around the grills.
man after seeing this thread... i feel obligated to go watercooling on my case...
though it is not a lian-li v2000 it is basically the same thing through another manufacturer... which will be the abs aplus black pearl... here are pics of my case

Hey Masterchief, what did you use to hold your drive bay fans?
i use 2 of these at the front of my case linky i replaced the stock fans for some sharkoons
very nice link.. much better than the thermaltake armor drive bay fan i was using for my case! thanks for the link, i'll most definitely be getting one :)
abs aplus black pearl.. same exact thing as a v2000 for less :)
and already comes w/ a window if you don't know how to make one.. lol
How good are these cases when it comes to aircooling? Can I easily fit a TRUE inside of a V1000?

Mine's a Tagan. I got it at Fry's, same price as Newegg at $250.
nice ferrari 360 poster.. i needa get me one of those :)
and this black pearl... or even v2000's are delicious! i love the layout so much.. i just need get the front 5.25 bay fan converters.... until then i leave the side door off...
I just put a new video card in and replaced my tubing. I will NEVER go back to water dye. I tried all kinds and the ones I liked would lose their UV after about a month and then look like crap. Distilled and PT nuke from here on out.

@Colossous : powder coated white ? or spray painted ?
Looks more like a mac or smth  but i'm still all in black fan
White powder coated duder - pretty hard wearing too ! Bought it like this from Tom at Chilled Pc, i run 2 pc's and this is my new everyday machine - got a new gamer on the way in a modded TJ07 and i've started work on a big case project too so its a busy time ! :)
Does anyone happen have a V1000 or V2000, a DFI P35 T2R and a TRUE?
I'm trying to figure out if I'll be able to setup the TRUE so it is vertrical but from the looks of it I don't think so. Mounting it horizontally looks like it may hurt performance, create a dead spot above my ram, and may not even fit because of the 38mm Deltas
And just for the record, I got mine and it fits SNUGLY in the three drive bays. It does not require screws either. It fits so SNUGLY that you don't actually need to screw it in despite the fact that you can't screw it in even if you want to because all of the holes on it don't line up with the the slots and holes for screws on the drive bays. It looks great and works as advertised but with it installed as it currently is, I can push on it and not get it to budge despite having no screws holding it in. I did not need to dremel anything. In fact I could have just drilled holes in it in order to have the added piece of mind of having it screwed in, but it's not. I've made peace with that.
My name is Frankenchrist and I'm lax about drilling stuff.
cheers for that Canine my rad grills
masterchief look @ sig

edit: oops i see you already got them and made the cuts my bad
would like your opinions guys on my side panel

the other side is the same
still have the bolts to tighten up
I actually went with this one, which was a tight fit as well. It was 5 dollars more than the one pictured above and has racks for hardrives. I may or may not use them but have that option.
http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal.../EX-33B_01.jpg
It has cooled my case by 3-4 degrees C since I put it in.
^^^^ to the above poster... is there a link to that... would definitely help when i wanna go water cooling and have to take off the hard drive rack on the bottom part

Far from the best camera in the world!
The V1000 was really tight for water cooling, this was a buddies of mine I did for him.
http://3dxtreme.net/other/Jeremiah/IMG_4991.JPG
Had to cut the front to allow the tubing to run to the bottom easier.
http://3dxtreme.net/other/Jeremiah/IMG_4996.JPG
My V2000 dwarfs it.

Notice both systems can be entirely be pulled out as one. So if there is a problem we don't even have to break the loop, can just remove the blocks and pull the whole setup in a few mins.
v2000 ftw :)

Pet168,
Mate, you so need a red desktop. The blue on your monitor clashes badly.
Like your schema!
Just built a new machine and thought I'd post it on here. I spent several weeks perfecting it -- sleeving all cabling, cutting fan wires to their precise length, and so on. I'm using it mainly for graphic design, but I also do a little gaming every so often. My goal was a clean, professional looking exterior/interior that did not look like a home made machine. So no fancy LEDs, cathode tubs, or acrylic windows... this machine is all business.

Watercooling the RAID controller? Ambitious.
Somehow, the while led's make your set up not look as bad even with the miles of cables :D
Good job!
Jor3lBR, i purchased those SATA cables off either Performance PCS or FrozenCPU...
i believe they were these...
Wow, that looks nice! The Maximus and maybe all ROG hav the double stack SATA and even when the clip's removed the $3 SATA's from the egg, plastic starts bulging. :( So I'm currently using the groovy red attention grabbers. Anyone have recs on some good quality SATA's wo/ clip?
Dreamtem, how is your San Ace staying on your TRUE?
I used zip ties and ran them through 2 holes on the fan. The pointed end of the zip tie is run through the whole and in between the fins on the heatsink, then I take another zip tie and attached it to the pointed end. Then I cut off both ends of the 2 zip ties. I did this on 2 corners of the fan and it holds in place quite nicely, and it almost looks like the fan is floating in place.
IMO it's a much cleaner solution than using the Thermalright wire bracket. Just make sure you use fairly thick/strong zip ties. Also, the sound proofing material I placed underneath it actually touches and supports the heatsink, so the zip ties and motherboard aren't being stressed from the weight.
