Mailed a store in Germany, which had the 1 gig kit in stock.
Asked them what the markings on the chips were, and the final 4 characters on the P/N #.
Got this reply :

die pn endet auf aa4t.
auf den chips steht 0448 sowie tmd7608f8e44d

Sounds good. Gonna order 1 pack.
To bad they don't have the 256MB stick ATM.

Because there isnÂ´t any Speed Premium available in Finland.
These will do just fine for now, tested first two 1GB kits and both ran memtest over an hour error free at 240FSB 2-2-2-5-Turbo-7.8Âµ-70Âµs-Enabled-Enabled-Disabled (Addr CPC)-Enabled with 3.3V only :D

ItÂ´s going to take a while to get these all tested ;)

Most of the sticks have chips from week 50, so I guess that week 50 or newer are the best overclockers.

Bad news, I called Twinmos today spoke to Alice Lo. According to "company policy" because I bought my ram from newegg, she says it's against "company policy" to send my week 43D 512 sticks to her in exchange for current dates. So basically I'm stuck with these until we have official word that newegg has the "good" speed premium 512 sticks. Sorry Klisp, I tried. But I looked at newegg just now and all the speed premium is sold out again. Must be dudes from other forums. Boy, they are gonna have a rude awakening when they get those sticks lol.

Anyone noticed how the OCZ reps have been very quiet ever since the community came to the conclusion that VX = Windbond UTT?

pls notice that the speed premium 2x256 MB sticks i have, also uses the same chip. and ALMOST IDENTIC P/N# i'll post it later for comparison

ChiefValue.com had a picture of the speed premium aa4t chips last week, now they are the aadt's.
I ordered them last week, so *hope* i get the newer ones...

Like i said, we in Germany got new stock where ALL TwinMOS/M.tec came with PSC

BUT

regular TwinMOS/TwinmOS came with AA4T - no time and setup to test atm but i think youÂ´ll find results very soon ;)

BTW: best regards to Alice if anyone calls her next time :D

do i write no english?

it comes in AADT which is Powerchip but this can - especially for M.tec - change very quick ;)

also for regular TwinMOS/TwinMOS we had AADT last week and AA4T this week

so itÂ´s still the same old story - watch out for AA4T on any new TwinMOS Memory ;)

Alice is a good employee, I have nothing against her. It's the "company policy" I disagree with. I wasn't asking twinmos for a bone marrow transplant, I was simply requesting some sticks with the current technology. I think this is why OCZ still OWNS in the cust. service dept. OCZ wouldn't even blink if I had the same request. And btw, Asus is not a good example of cust. service. :D

well obviously twinmos just need to increase the price of the AA4T 500% and then they, like OCZ, can afford to pander to the whims of their patrons.

However, i seriously doubt Twinmos are going to charge you 500% more than what those RAMs are worth... :stick:
