..9 sets of dead or alive GKX? :p:
ddr3 is high priced, and the peformance gains are in my opinion not worth it, only if you go triple channel on i7 do you see huge gains, with ddr3 on the 775 platform, not worth the money, the gains are to small to justify the cost.
Hey what bios you using ? f5 ?, there is a f6 and a f7a on tweaktown gigabyte forums. I tried your suggestions, help somewhat, still cant get this board over 500fsb:shrug:
im using f5.heres my settings for ddr 1200 500x8.5. in bios set -LLC enabled, pll-1.57 / vtt1.28 / cpu ref-0.81,shows up in ET6 as 0.76 /vcore-1.38125 / vdimm-2.22 / mch-1.38 /mch ref- 0.750.shows up in ET6 as 0.70 / ich i/o-normal / ich core- normal / memory settings-strap 333 / ddr1200 / pl8 /whatever timing work for you. mine are 5-5-4-12 -3-30-6-3
Thanks alot Raja, just cant seem to get only 400 stap going, i will try those settings and thanks again.
All Crucial Ballistix use Micron D9's right? Including the 2x2gb sets? I'm picking up my Crucial Ballistix 2x2gb DDR2-800 set, which was cheap at newegg. :) Hope to get good bandwidth from them!
nope new crucial use PC or else. Specially the 2x2gb are not microns.
Great, nice to hear im not the only one with this fetish :p:
Not at all, I'm hoping to buy my 3rd and 4th kits of D9 in the not too distant future :D
Don't ask how many kits I have
want to ask here.,one of my friend want to sell his kingston hyperx 2gb 9200 ram.,its use D9GKX chip.,did anyone here tried this ram before.i've read some reviews says they use D9GKX..
sorry for my bad english..
Nearly picked up some on newegg when they had them for real cheap. But the many complains about sticks dying after a few months worries me. Is that true?
I have two sets. Some sets have D9 DKX and apparently some don't. My first set was made in USA and my second in China. I have yet to manage getting the heat spreaders off and actually verify what the IC's are. They both have 2.35v stickers on the sticks I think my 1st set (USA) is a little stronger then my second (China). My first set could run DDR2-1000 (1/1) at 4-4-4-12 with around 2.3v on my TPower. I've also been able to run them 5-5-5-15 DDR2-1200 (333/800) with lower volts on my DFI UT and Gigabyte UD3P.
Well guess what happend i put those settings you gave me and BAMMMMMMMMM KILLED MY BOARD, its fried:down::down:, it wouldnt accept those settings, and kept rebooting, so i cleared the cmos, didnt help, just kept rebooting , took out the battery, kept rebooting, no way into bios, i rmad the board, have serious 2nd thoughts about getting this board again. I guess there is a revision of the board coming out cause of some issues with the board, now i dont know what to do:shrug:
neo mike, im really sorry to hear that.so they are giving you a replacement?did any of your other hardware get taken with it?hope not. not sure what you should do either.maybe get the ddr3 version?
No my processor is ok, and my memory, just the board dieddddddddd, dont have any idea why, not blaming you at all, just dont know what happend. Not sure what im going to do, i will try the ddr3 version, or the dfi x48 t3rs, not sure, at internet cafe now  so hard to pick a new board to many choices, only way is try them out till you get one that kicks butt, definitly not getting another ud3p, i did notice that the heat pipe sytem on it dont seem to work all that great, the nb gets pretty hot, i think its only aluminum, and not copper. Shopping around reading reviews.
neo mike, yea i hear you on that. i'd probally get do the same thing if mine fried.keep me updated on which one you get
Here are my 4x1gb sticks of Crucial Ballistic PC-6400 at 5-5-5-15 1140Mhz on 2.28v. I have only had this new UD3P board for a few days and love what I am seeing so far.
