Aww, thanks chaps :)
can anyone confirm that the Corsair CMXAF1 ram cooler fits ok after installing a TRUE on the CPU?
hey clunk since ure in dfi's good graces
can u ask frankie etc
1.whats with the ovevolt reading on the vcore..
the x38 didnt have this issue.. atleast the board i tested didnt on the same proc
if it wasnt for that would have rated this board the best board i ever had
till the then maximus se flashed to rampage bios still rocks.
the striker formula 2 is not bad also
thanks
another weird issue just cropped up
1:1 500fsb CL4 TRD 7..
it suddenly didnt work and was causing so many failures
heck even cant boot
tried 3 different sticks..
Team Xtreem PC2-6400 CL3's
Team Xtreem PC2-8500 CL5's
OCZ Flex PC2-8500 CL5's
even at 2.4vdimm also no effect
all of this had no probs with the maximus running at 1000mhz CL4 at 4.5ghz!!
it start with some boot manager issue on boot from restart
then it had trouble entering windows
then i reran windows mem diagnostic tool.
it failed in 9%
all of the sticks. from 1 stick to 4 stick config since i have 2 pairs of each with the same batch serials
so had to back it down to 1000mhz 5-5-5-8 TRD 8 rest same as the template 1.5vNB, set 2.00v dimm.
passed 10 passes for Team Xtreem PC2-6400 CL3
2.03vdimm for ther other 2 at 5 passes..
trying to figure out what happened.. it all started after sleep mode last night i booted up.. restarted and just loaded one of the profile i had for 500fsb saved..
till now cant get CL4 to work ..
update
heck now even the proven 3.8ghz 400x9 266/667 1000mhz CL4 2.3 also is having failures.. what the hell..
will be reflashing the bios

That guide is amazing, and deserves the front page  Gratz
Congratz Clunk and thank you....
Well done clunk
Its real nice to see DFI back big time in the UK, I was only moaning a month or so ago that it was imposable to get any DFI in the UK.
Well done DFI
Have been playing with the new parts all day and have my E8200 running at 4Ghz although its not quite stable yet. I think I need to learn and understand some of the more mystic settings in the BIOS.
Very impressed with the new DFI board so far. Havent had to do a manual CMOS reset once yet :)

just booted the board for the first time and I like my NB temp with my mc30.
i think that this motherboard totaly suck.
i tryed boot with my e8400 ( that can do 620 fsb on commando)
all ok first boot.
450 OK
480 OK
500 FIRST PROBLEM ---> no boot, i tryed 1,65vNB - 1,45 VTT - 1,6 vSB - NB GTL 80 ---> OK BOOT
510 NO BOOT
520 NO BOOT
ecc...
over 500 i puts the chipset on liquid cooling to be more safe, i give em 1,88 vNB - 1,7 vSB - 1,6 vcore - 1,6 VTT!!!!!!!
ram was 400/800 1040mhz 5-5-5-18 2,3v ( crucial pc8500)
OMG
yeah ok. and VNB how much ??
GTL voltage ??
