why you think its budget? i bought mine for 150 euro's and a GA-EP45-DQ6 or extreme was 30 euros more with just a few more features so i think DFI JUST OWNS! :P

naw, I was just surprised at the minimal price difference between the Elite version and the Plus version....
And yeah if this P45 T2RS Plus is any where reliable as my X48 T2RSB Plus was then they definitely have a good price to performance ratio...:up::up::up:
edit: the only thing I would change is instead give it a Dual or even a TRIPLE bios, because as we've seen with my T2RSB Plus, once it's gone it's gone and you're truly SOL.... other than that it's basically perfect, and now even Crossfire on the cheaper versions...
but honestly ya gotta love the LED readout and the reliable boot-ups everytime

assuming the mhz are not fake.. the vcore is not fake.. and the statement of using true 120 (not even x???) this temperature could be only possible with cpu idle and ambient 10 Celsius.. . if u happen to think to convince us its with cpu@load.. then u must be working this PC in an igloo...

There are "laws" to overclocking. If you do not follow them, you do not O/C properly. This is a fact, as are these.
24 hrs Minimum Prime 95 Small FFT, Then Blend. If you pass this you are more or less completely stable.
1 Week Prime 95 is required for an actual stability test. I could crash 95% of the overclocks you 8 hr Primers think is stable. I have had Prime 95 tests fail after 56hrs. Yeah that's right.
Point being, it wasn't just a stoke of luck that PC's were built. People built them with specific guidelines, as long as you follow them you will be fine. Adequate cooling. All that is necessary.
Saying that more than 8hrs of Prime "kills" your hardware is a level of n00batry that I am not even equipped to deal with. The very fact that I and I know many others have failed Prime 95 MANY hours past 8, would say your statement needs some serious re-thought.
I just finished failing a 18 hr run with my voltages lowered. LOL by your logic it's stable 2x over with 2 hrs to spare. But it's not. Don't be a typical retard and disregard what I am saying. Start entering facts into your sentences, instead of just thinking you know the answer.

Hows this for temps? TR Ultra-120a Push/Pull. Funny thing is, I would guarantee my 120a against even a Venomous-x. Hands down no competition. Check those load temps. If anyone would like to see the inside of my case I will gladly oblige.
There are no "laws" to overclocking. Otherwise there would be a sticky up there. Every system reacts differently. And it's a bit weird when someone with 6 posts comes and starts lecturing people on overclocking laws.
So, you run 12 hours of prime and it doesn't crash but 18 hours finally causes an error, so you aren't stable? Besides the fact that the LONGEST I've run Prime is 7 hours (Not interested in degrading my hardware, unless you pay for it, sorry!), what if you pass a 12 hour prime run, and NOTHING else you use on the system gets the cpu's nearly as hot as Prime? (Even a 4 core chess program is 6C lower?). Part of overclocking is knowing how hot the "instability" zone is and what, if any, programs can reach that threshold. Sorry but if you need to run prime for 1 *week*, then you simply aren't an experienced overclocker, unless you do 24/7 folding or something (which is the ONLY reason anyone would want to stress test for a week).
And, you absolutely do NOT need 50-100 passes of LinX. 5 passes is usually enough, ESPECIALLY on 64 bit windows at maximum stress (takes over 20 minutes), and 10 passes is the highest most reputable regulars here will do on 64 bit windows. Now on XP, you should do at least 10, as 5 passes with the 2 GB Ram cap goes too fast to fully heat things up.
Running LinX for 50 passes repeatedly CAN degrade stuff slightly. I've had it happen to me. So much for your "laws"....

I just got an Asus p5Q deluxe yesterday to replace my last board which was a microatx dfi that had a burnout on the PWM.
I chose the P5Q deluxe because of the 16 phase power supply that could properly fuel a quad. I got the P5Q deluxe cheap by european standards as it was b-grade from Overclockers in the UK and came bare.
Anyhow, the board seems good. I have spent a day fiddling and now got to 4.1GHz stable on the Q9550 E0.
This equates to 582 FSB. It all seems stable so far, I have done intelburntest x64 for 30 iterations, no problems thus far so I am proceeding to try for 500 before doing any 24/7 stability tests. My quad is on water and got to 70 celcius during this abuse. The CPU seems to still work under 70 deg at least!
This board has a wall at 482, I can't break it. You seem to have cracked it though, I tried changing the skews like you mention, but it wont even get to windows above this freq. Do i need to hike the PLL votage?
What should I do to try and get past this wall? I am sure it's not the CPU as it went to 500fsb on the old matx board. The CPU was happy there (apart from drawing so much power it frazzled the board) and killed it. CPU is fine though. The DFI P45 T2RS JR board is an amazing clocker, but doesn't have the wattage to take a quad all the way, only really suitable for duos.
Anyway, back to the plot with the P5Q - I am putting 1.4 into Vnb and 1.32 into the Vtt. Vcore is on load hovering around 1.25V.
I hope to get the Vnb down later but i have horrible OCZ Reaper 1066 ram which looks nice but doesn't clock for 1 hertz past its quoted speed. This means i'm on the 1:1 divider. If I had some DDR2-1200 I could use the 5:6 divider and get the full whack. never mind I will stick with the reaper at a target speed of DDR2 1000 as it's not the limiting factor at the moment.
The PWM on this board is amazing - it runs at 35 celcius with the quad at 4.1GHz. This board could probably take an unlocked quad to 5ghz+ on suicide mission with liquid nitrogen cooling.
One thing I don't like about this board other than the FSB wall I've hit (which the gigabytes don't have apparently) is the lack of instrumentation - no measurement of Vtt and Vnb which my old DFI had, and this was very useful since the numbers for voltages in the bios are never the same as the actual measured voltages by any stretch.
On my DFI the VTT only needed to be bios=1.29 measured=1.21 to be stable at 4GHz, on this asus board i need to put bios=1.32 to do the same.
Apart from that, the board is all good and I hope to hit 500fsb and get the quad running 24/7 on 4.25Ghz without the whole thing bursting into flames.

Try the same settings as my template, I think your VTT is too low for the FSB, P5Q Deluxe need much.
Try 1.40 VTT
1.48vNB for FSB 495.
this nb voltage is too high. i only need 1.30 to reach 480 Mhz.:D
