@jAkUp what about condensation with that TEC? did you put sth to prevent it? I mean, you need condensation prevention for anything under ambient temps, otherwise great build ;)
@vicfalc09 wow, very very nice P180 build, great job, nice and clean =)

Thanks m8 :)
New stuff has arrived from Petra's Tech shop today :

Well, thats what i call a tight seal :D
Patriote nice looking stacker you have there
Thanks m8! :)
It works pretty well. Has been running like that since a few months now with 3 different loop. (same rad mounting way but with 3 different loops. D5, MCP355, Storm, Apogee, MCW60s etc...) And always had super temps. As you can see, between the case and Rad grill i placed some mosquito net so that the comp doesn't become a dust crap.Quote:
How does that work out for you, with the rad being on bottom? Does it ventilate well? Temps?
With my new E6600 (And my current WC set-up) at 3.6Ghz (9x400) 1.42v i never get temps over 48Degrees After few hours of stressing (Fans undervolted) with Orthos Small FFTs - Stress CPU test. And i idle at about 23Degrees.

http://xs414.xs.to/xs414/07141/Pictuddre009.jpg.xs.jpg 3.6Ghz while stressing
The order did cost about 120$ USD if i remember right. And Quoc labeled the box as a gift and i paid 17$ CAD Canada post fee for handling priority courier\EMS items ?! I thought i was supposed to pay nothing but oh well 17$ CAD isn't that bad.Quote:
Off topic, how much did you pay for shipping and customs for buying cross the border (from Petra's)?
Heh yeah they are and i hope they'll be even better with new stuff that arrive today :D
Nope haven't tried anything higher. I received the E6600 about a week ago from a good friend and i tried 3.6Ghz right away with 1.4v After some tweak i found that it needed 1.42v to get stable for many hours of Orthos.
I won't have time to do some more Ocing or re-do my loop with my new parts for some time. My dad is at the hospital and have much more thing to see before. But ill be sure to post back some pics when im done :)
God you guys have beautiful systems
Hats off to Vicfalc09 and Patriote :toast:
My regards to your father. :)
Hi All! Here's mine!
Case: NZXT Zero (Was on sale)
CPU: A64 3800+ Venice @ Stock (Don't know how to overclock. Don't laugh.)
Mobo: Asus A8R32-MVP Deluxe
GPU: HIS x1950Pro @ Stock
Ram: 4gigs of OCZ Plat PC-3200
PSU: Silverstone Zeus 650W
HDD: 1 Lonely 150GB Raptor.
Sound: Audigy 2 ZS
Cooling:
CPU: TDX
GPU: Tyee
Rad: PA120.2
Pump: D5
Delrin T and Fillport.
The Story: She's been in use for a little over a year. The only changes since I built her is both of the x1900's died (Long Story.) and I sold my other Raptor on Ebay for some extra cash I needed for bills. Also It was originally in a CM Stacker 810 but it is currently sitting in my shed in pieces after an unsuccessful modjob (Ran out of money and Patience. Had so many problems with it I gave up.)
Please excuse the horrid wiring job. Its hard to do in this case and im not really worried about it. It's temporary while i work on my wooden cube.

Welcome Spart! And Nice set-up there if you don't look at the cable mess :p:
Lol yeah the cables are awful. it is really hard to manage it in this case. Theres not enough room behind the mobo or the mobo tray for anything hardly. If i get bored tomorrow ill try to fool around with it.
Interesting... my X1900XT bit the dust not that long ago. Under warranty though and they sent me a X1950XT as a replacement. Maybe something was wrong with those cards that caused early deaths...?Quote:

Im assuming it was a manufacturing defect. Still an ATi Fan tho!
Those look like the connectors you use for air tools and air compressors.
Wow, cracked? Maybe too much pressure from the tyee mounting? Mine just was starting to artifact randomly or turn the screen all green (or blue) with streaks of colored dashed lines. Really weird. It would happen sometimes upon bootup, or going from 2D to 3D clocks or back to 2D when getting in or out of a game. If it didn't do it at those times it worked fine, even during hours of gaming, but those switches would make it screw up. Wasn't drivers or directX or Windows, I reinstalled all of those. Only thing I could think of is the card had some sort of problem switching clocks on the fly. So I've been without my card for a couple weeks now :( This weekend I get my new one though!
My humble effort:)

RLM
Great setup RLM,
Could you send me a few detailed shots of the wiring. How did you route your fan cables?
I'm starting my tj07 w/c build on Thursday, so any input would be great.
Well, I expect two Lian Li rheobus controllers tomorrow and and handful of Papst fans next week. In the mean time it will be (urg) Noctua's on the rad. I'm going to add casters, sound dampening, vibration dampening, lap the CPU, and install all the stuff on Thursday. I'm excited!
I already have a problem. The rear fan wires (92 mm fans) won't reach the fan controller. I can't find extensions. I was thinking of splicing in a few inches of wire so that they will reach. Any suggestions? Again, i want to hide these wires, so that's taking a little extra thought.
Ps I'm going to do a photo work log, nothing special. just a few shots as things progress
No i dont think it was pressure. The voltage reg cooler on the Tyee doesnt use screws it uses the stock spring things from the crappy one. My first x1900 died in October I think. The other one died this january. The funny thing is my master card went first and it was really sudden. I woke up one day and couldnt get a picture out of it. Also when my slave card died i was playing BF2142 and my pc just shutoff like it overheated. I had taken the waterblock off for a good cleaning and put on an Arctic Cooling Accelero. Never got a picture out of it after that. When i pulled the block off about half the volatge reg came off with it and there was that horrid smell of burnt plastic. I was broken hearted :-(.
These things are hitches sealing on each site. So I can uncouple the radiator from the rest of the system by loosing only some drops of water. The flow resistance isn't very low, right, but the flow rate is at all not very important. I prefer to have a bit worse temps than without hitches and the possibility to transport my system for LANs better. With a third pair of these hitches it is also easier to get the water out of the system.
I hope you can understand what I mean ;).

Batteries ran out on my camera, but did manage to take one shot. Hope it helps.
Unfortunately I bust my fan controller, so fans are now running off the motherboard.
Look forward to the pics Spider:)

Very nice spider, love the water color. :)
Thanks NickS, the color is slowly getting clearer as the tiny bubbles clear from the line. I can see through the tubing now
Awesome, I love it when blue is semi-clear. Looks great with a bright camera flash.
Another nice thing about your rig is, it's cool to still see someone using 1/2" ID instead of 7/16", it looks so beastly. :D

Funkflix, nicely made, but to many sharp bends, and to little use of the space within the case for my taste.. It seems empty ;)
I mean the 90' degrees barbs ;) I love the tight fit :p
Funkflix,

only thing I need now is to make a bracket to support the 8800GTX from being weighed down like that by the waterblock, its fairly heavy and that's why it looks bent
It looks really bent. I'd take care of that immediately.
@perfection very nice and compact watercooling rig, it looks awesome. it whould be perfect if you whould have turned that rad the other way around. therefore it would have made the tubing even shorter, but looks good that way too.
BTW have that same problem with Ek block too...
thanks for that, the rad just to be the other way but it looked really messy.
here's my system in its previous state:
@ mcoffey & PenumbralFigure
I've got another free day today, being the easter long weekend. I've still got a Lian Li PC75 side panel I was going to cut up for something I can't remember, I wish I had a dremel :( but I've got a nibbler tool so I get started on making that bracket.
Hopefully, it'll be done by this arvo, I'll post pics up when its finished
took me 1hour to make this dodgy bracket, if I had the right tools, it would have been quicker and more pro looking

nah, it was spray painted, two coats of primer and three coats of black.
wierd coz underneath the silver chrome is copper, I lapped it down before spray painting

I HATE THIS STUPID SPP!!!
http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p...a/IMG_0592.jpg
Components:
2 x DDC-2 /w DDC-T01
120.2PA
120.1 GTS
D-tek / apogeeGTX
DD680i
MCW30 /w custom tweek mountings rigged by me :D
EK res.
Just the one radiator on that E6600 system? Also what case is that? More pics!
For that SLI setup, why not make the outlet of the bottom GPU block come out of the top? That would eliminate the need for the 90 degree barb.
@ Naekuh: Superb setups. i Love ur big girl :P.
Also i would do wht Polizei said.
heh i listed my components:
Thermochill PA120.2
BlackICE GTS 120.1
I dont think a single 120.1 could give you these temps:

The case is a armor. Im pretty much at its limit now. Im thinking of moving to a UFO dualy for the room, or a horizon. Havent figured it out yet, but i'll have one next month.
Loop order is:
DDC-2 (1) -> PA120.2 -> DD680i -> DDC-2 (2) -> MCW30 -> BIGTS -> GPU1 -> GPU2 -> EK Res.
And why i kept the 90 is because i dont really have to worry about restrictions. 2 x DDC-2 /w petras top is a TONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN of flow.

Supercool VRMs anyone? :D
[gasp] you smoke? :nono:
and to aurora's quote:
does it make a splashy wooshy noise?
well my house is set to 68F (20C) but i live in the basement so its like 17c ambient. temps according to core temp 0.94 are core 0 21c core 1 17c at stock settings while idling and 26c and 21c at load. highest ive seen it hit was 40c at load was when i was at 2.9ghz @ 1.5v. idled at 27c. those temps are with the IHS on.
i love office space! :D
i have to tweak my settings because its not completely stable. fails orthos at priority 8 within minutes no matter what voltage i use. but i think either my motherboard, psu or windows is flaking out on me. when i get home, im gonna put a fresh install of XP home (no vista for me till DX10 games lol) on her and see if it helps. if that doesnt work, then the psu is next. all the voltages are pretty low and i think its what caused the cold boot and eventual death of my first sli-dr. stinking Antec NeoHE (Neo Heap of Excrement) 550 psu :slapass:
thanks to everyones comments. it was my first attempt and i think it was successful. definitely reached a new level here :)
 whats wrong with the neoHE 550??
Thats inside my NAS, and i swear its quieter then the old seasonic 450. Actually the entire setup was ment for quiet, so i cant hear it at all really. And its been giving the NAS some pretty stable loads. It folds most of the time unless i need it to play HTPC role.
