and have a question whether its true that a higher multi== higher memory bandwidth. Thanks !
short:
My assumption was always it doesnt matter what multi as long as i can hit the max. CPU speed as well as the max memory speed. Where does the multi come in play there ?
Here are my results:

hey interloper, welcome to XtremeSystems :D
pm send saaya ;)
my first post here..and my first attempt on AMD64 winchester core...
before this im on p4 platform...btw the RAM is holding me down...
at 265 fsb the RAM give errors....
265 @ 2.5-4-4-8 2T ...failed prime but it is still benchable...
my RAM can do max 257 @ 2.5-4-4-8 prime stable...
but now running the system at (look at my sig)..
the RAM is faster @ 232 @ 2.5-4-4-8 1T...
So now im looking for TCCD to optimize my system...
yet to know max clock speed of my couple of days old winchester..
FYI this is using stock hsf
and last but not least..hi everybody
:)
I'm new to this and want to ask a few questions:
Its definately gotta be winchester 3000+ but which Mboard? IS it MSI Neo plat 2? cuz i heard it dosent have a pci lock will this mean that pci slots will have to be kept empty? however the Abit uguru AV8 has lock AGP & PCI but leaky caps or summith,I Wanna know why you guys dont like the abit as it could be interesting to learn why.
it would be nice to have a structured reason for an explanation. Thanks
welcome to the forums guys :),
all nforce3 boards have a pci/agp lock, and the reason that most ppl choose nvidia chipset is because they have a better chance of getttin a higher HTT (fsb if u wanna call it that) than the via (abit av8, asus a8v etc.) boards do....
hope that helps :)

My MSI NEO4 Ultra with 3000+ CBBID 0501 FPMW batch 618 is a bummer.
when I set 200MHz to 220MHz or higher is won't boot. Even with 250x7!!
same for windows with clockgen...
Is this a CPU or Mobo problem?
I can get this one too:
CBBID 0451APBW
1168678L40001
A nice one??
I've sort of got the same problem... When I set the HTT to 220 - 225 or higher in the bios it won't boot at all.... But When I overclock it with Clockgen I can get it stable on 9*283, 1:1_2.5-3-3-7-1T.
MSI K8N SLI Platinum.
I have an A64 3000+ 0444UPAW overclocked to 2.6ghz 290x9 with a msi neo2 platinum. I am able to boot into windows at 2.7ghz but I haven't tried higher because I'm afraid it might mess up my system. It's PI stable at 1m 2m and 4m but not PI stable at 32MB. Primestable as well but locked up both time at 3hour 3min and 33sec with the 3 runs I ran @ 2.6ghz So either prime doesn't like cpu or it could be a concidence that it died all 2 times at the same hour same min and same second. I am able to CS no problem.

I have listing to music therefore is the time so bad. The memory runs normally with 300fsb. The new run with 300fsb comes tomorrow.
how is it doing i can get the same stepping?Quote:
