Thanks Olly but my SSD is connected to the intel red sata port.
But if I disable the jmicron on the bios screen, I get a HDD not found error and it boots into bios again.
The only drives in the black sata are my D: 1TB HDD and my E: DVD drive.

i have found the problem for improve stability cpu needs a little cpu pll about 1.83 @-45
great mobo runs my hypers@2260 7-8-7-21-1t with 1.81 vmem
cpu rock stable@5610
Barso, try playing with the boot order.....I think I had a similar problem
Anyone with D14 and this board/i72600K to share some experience about 4.8/5Ghz max vcore/temps? thanks.
hmm I undervolt SA to .85v and runs memory fine...
cpu pll at 1.53v too, but this is just 32m not linX
has anyone managed to get a 24/7 5.0ghz overclock for their 2600k on air cooling with this board? and i don't mean with the stock air cooler.
I am running 5.0ghz under water, with 1.42v (under load)with 8GB (4X2) running at 1866 8-8-8-24 1T stable (both linx and prime)
how long will it blend?

no degradation whatsoever, still clocks exactly how it clocked when I got it
I like it more then before, when I tested Asus P8P67 Pro. Must be the board. This one has many options to play with. ;)
And, of course, this 2600K can do 54x unlike the other which could do only 51x, although same batch, same shipment in the same store. :ROTF:
Now just to find 55+ CPU. :D
Is there a voltage to change to lower the cpu temperature ? ( I mean apart from VCore ;) )
I run 5Ghz with 1.390v [set in bios]. This gives me 1.375v load. But I'm on water. I had issues runing 8Gb ram at 9-11-9-28 1T, I messed around with VCCio and SA , sometimes I was abble to pass linx others I wasn't... I don't really know why. So I went for 1866 8-9-8-24 1T and all is ok. I think 8Gb 2133 must get hard on the IMC...
Hi
me run 24/7 5ghz on air 1.44V HT on
i have silver arrow whit 2 fan 140 stock
my temp max is 58°c in load whit game and 72°c on linX 1 hour
You could try with CPU PLL and VCCSA.

BTW, @ALL: we should mention CPU LLC level when we're talking about vCore, if not mentioning DMM measured voltage.
From what I've seen/measured, vCore drops by 0.02V under load when at 75% LLC, and rises by the same when at 100% LLC.
If anyone could measure, please do, for comparison purposes.
I have 4.9ghz linx stable. Super happy about that, but I want 5ghz.
All settings are auto, besides 1.4v core (I want 24/7, so I'm not moving it up).
What voltage setting should be changed from auto? I've tried chaning a lot of stuff and windows basically never loads. I can sometimes get in at 5ghz, but it's not stable at all. Really weird since 4.9ghz is solid. Just a 1x multiplier bump.
I use 1.395v in Bios with LCC@75%. With my DMM I see ~1.395 idle, It get's to 1.380(5) with light load. And drops to 1.375v with linx.
Lili v2000
EK HF supreme full nickle
TA 120.3
Feser Xchange
6x 120mm ~1600rpm fans
D5 as pump
and 1/2 ID tubing.
With ~24ºC ambiente I get 62ºC max at hottest core in 20 linx runs.
I'm going to ask this here:
Why did you guys go for the MIV instead of the WS Revolution? I went with the Revolution as I thought they had pretty much the same in common but the WS Revolution could do quad sli, but now I'm starting to think I should have gone with the MIV. So lemme have it! Convince me :)
I got the MIVE open box for $265 shipped.
1. It's also super stable. I've never had a more stable board.
2.Should be more support since it's their highest end board. You'll probably also have more support from users on this forum since it's an enthusiast board.
3. For SLI/Crossfire setups, I found allowing space between the two cards really helped w/ temps. That's not so easy w/ that board as you'd need a really long SLI bridge (might come with one long enough though).
4. MIVE has two molex power connectors vs one on the workstation. If you wanted 3 or 4way SLI/Crossfire, that will help.
Did I miss anything?
Adding to all this, you can also "quad" in M4E with 590Gtx ( ok with some problems ) and 6990 out. You can just have 2 ( 6950/6970) + 6990 or 2x6990. Same for nvida 2x 590Gtx. If you really need that much graphic power... I've a 6950@70 crossfireX and it is more then enought and for the price of one 580Gtx was the bang for the buck
