not much of a hit performance at all actually, maybe like 2-4oo pts. on 3dmark and not even noticable in games, as for the raid it has worked great for me since day one.

OMG! Crappy Nvidia drivers have cost me a couple thousand point difference with my 3dmark vantage graphics score. Cool this is the board that Im getting. Ive wanted this board for a while. Im sure that I can get a good price for my gtx260s. They clock pretty well. Ill get a couple of 4870s instead. Thanks for the reply. It'll be great to be done with Nvidia.
is your card a 2x or just 1x video card?..i could not tell...if it is 2x, then the score would be realistic.
even though my timings looked ok, the bios had something out of whack...when i watched the various sub-benches perform there thing, i saw the color on the monitor just about being non-existent...i let the bench continue and darn i was surprised with the final score.
if you use crossfire i would presume your performance would be great...now, if you are like me where you need to use the 2nd 16x slot for a raid card or something else, the drop in video performacne will be around 5-6%...i measured that against a PCMark 2005 bench run on this board and then from a run on an X48 ddr3 board (at 16x) with the same video card at the same CPU MHZ and FSB.
EDIT:..i presume you could make up for that difference if you overclocked the video card...my card was at stock speed although i had the driver set to "High Performance"
they had to be 2x card or in a crossfire setup.
these will be posted on the first page once i upload to my website.
i got a problem everytime i shutdown or save something in bios. it will not boot and no display on the diagnostic led. i need to press and hold the power button for it to shutdown again then it will boot. using the 7/10 bios.
hmm that dont happen with me. maybe try re flashing the 7/11 sounds like a bios corruption issure to me.
if you saw scores that high why don't you ask them if the card is 2X or setup in a crossfire configuration...if they come back with a single card, then i would doubt the authenticity of the bench.
the single 4870 cards are fast but not that fast to get 20K realistically.
i will find a 4870 2x bench on the X48 ddr3 board and i will post up here shortly...i think his score was 17+ or 18+ for 3D2006.
EDIT:..i had to ask the guy who posted it previously...i cannot find it any longer.
DOUBLE EDIT:...after looking at some other threads, i found one which had a 17.9K 3D2006 score...but...i could not determine if it was a X2 card...might have been a single 4800 series...here it is:
that was definately a single card and prolly a QX9XX0 cpu to have a cpu score that high. wanna know how I know?? the single 4800 cards read out on 3dmark and gpu-z as 4800 series whereas the 4870X2/4850X2 say either 4870X2 or 4850X2 on both gpu-z and 3dmark 05 and up maybe even o3 and up but I dont think so.
Woot check this out!

I'm just using run of the mill water cooling, well ok 2X pa 120.3's swiftech apogee GTZ and Dtek fuzion GPU in the loop also, but still keeps her nice and cool at 49c full load at those speeds never goes over 32C on stock settings.
