That's priceless
that's awesome gallardo.. right on the money...
Team only got 799.920 yesterday. Time to storm the server...:ROTF:
DAK just notified me Willmaker has joined Team Whiskey..
I have added him to the spreadsheet and scorecard, his cumulative weekly points will be added to tomorrow's xsr and scorecard upload.
The force is strong with Team Whiskey...OP Updated...Rules updated:up:

LOL! I like the new rules. What kinda machines is he running anyways?
WFO runs illegal machines, stolen parts, hacked O/S's, and uses an extension cord from his neighbors house to power his farm...:rofl::rofl:
Rise it's in the stickies, Rip wrote a guide for it.
It's btw against Stanford rules, but then again, they should take better care of our hw by supplying us with enough wu's on a steady base. Udmon 'hacks' queue.dat, and can make your client dl a few wu's at a time so if the servers go down like they tend to do, you got a buffer of units to crunch.
The downside is, for the science it's not good. The return time for wu's is what's important, and caching means slower return times. Want points? Udmon is a choiche. Want to follow the rules and do the best for science, don't. Same as dual smp's or single smp's not counting oc's. When I where able to clock 600mhz higher I would run dual smp's but at current clocks, yes I would get more points but my turnaround time would drop 20%.
*Edit.. wait... it is the same picture :so I removed it... thought Mike just posted a random supercomputer but he did use the real deal already  Sorry Mike

Made from Commercial Parts. In total, Roadrunner connects 6,562 dual-core AMD Opteron® chips as well as 12,240 Cell chips (on IBM Model QS22 blade servers). The Roadrunner system has 98 terabytes of memory, and is housed in 278 refrigerator-sized, IBM BladeCenter® racks occupying 5,200 square feet. Its 10,000 connections – both Infiniband and Gigabit Ethernet -- require 55 miles of fiber optic cable. Roadrunner weighs 500,000 lbs. Companies that contributed components and technology include; Emcore, Flextronics, Mellanox and Voltaire.
I only wish my farm looked like that. :yepp: Gawd from 14:30 yesterday till 20:00 I was continuously stopping and restarting clients trying to avoid downtime. I couldn't keep up. I went to bed with 5 clients idle and woke up with 8. :(
The new rules are well... interesting Dak.
Edit: This afternoon I think I'm going to put Vista on the other 2 X 9800GX2 machine just so I can run another SMP and make up for some of the lost points due to server issues.
i think the new rules are just fine, put in place to keep the teams somewhat even :D
You know WFO you are in Stanford's area of the country maybe you should pay PG a visit and help correct their server problem maybe a slight attitude adjustment might be in order their NV gpu2 assignment servers have went from bad to worse. I would suggest a base ball bat for the attitude adjustment tool maybe if you took out a couple of their crap servers they would be forced to upgrade to ones that could handle the load.
lol.. maybe he could run around the server room yelling --> "FIRE! http://smiliesftw.com/x/aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.gif FIRE!"
Guys please, enough with the remarks about 'mental problems' when refering to the PG or refering to using baseball bats.
The first is insultive towards people who I will bet my life on have more 'mental capacity' then op, the second is just bad taste.
In serieusness, it's not funny at all
Naw not "Fire! :cheer2: Fire!"
More like "Danger! :cheer2: Danger! Will Robinson
Marvin the baseball bats were for use on the antiquate defective server not for PG group to help facilitate a server upgrade to fix the problem If the said server was in a pile of broken bits then they would have to upgrade and with any luck the upgraded server would be better than the current POS.
Shadow, go read some of the other threads. This bashing is getting to me, I'm about to call it quits again.
I am sorry Marvin I was just trying to blow off some steam caused by the frustration of not being able to get wu's for my gpu2 client which has been a recurring problem which has been getting worse over the last few weeks. The bashing was just meant as a release valve for the stress I myself and others have been facing with this latest gpu2 server problem.
I say let people vent and find humor in a situation they have no control over... It's better than just giving up and quitting... We all know PG is trying to fix the issue, let's not squelch user's ability to vent with humor too... everyone has the right to an opinion and to deal with it in there own way without someone coming in and saying they can't joke around to relieve the stress. at least if we're joking around about it, that means no one has gotten po'ed enough to just stop folding and leave the project because the gpu server is having issues.
When I went to sleep I had no GPU2s, same thing when I woke up. :shakes: Maybe they should move the coffee pot, snack machines, coke machines and such and put them in there where the servers are...
Edit: @ Mike and people will get p/o ed sometimes and quit...
That was the mood I was in last night after spending 6 hours stopping and restarting clients to keep them loaded. :rolleyes:It paid off with an extra 6 K points.
Persoanlly I think all the jokes about the servers are hysterical.:rofl::rofl::rofl: And they've put me in a much better mood this morning.
