give it more volts (ex2cib ;) )
great clocks... gratz.
what PSU are you using? any possibility its a power issue as far as not being 32m stable?? BH5 @ 3.7+ Volts and CPU @ 1.6volts... just throwing it out there.
Nice Job

btw stephen....still wanting to see your name somewhere on the XS rosetta team ...or you can join the subteam im on now, we'll take you in.
that 4ghz opty would fit right in ;)
@b2b (haha, more volts, 5th times ive seen that in the past 48 hours)
But that would mean he would have to run his rig more than a couple hours at a time:)
very nice run man! what's your core temperature underload at around 3.90Ghz? maybe at -30'C?
that'd be alright, long term stability testing here:DQuote:

nice, another vote for 32M here!
Nice chip, and nice work my friend:)
4ghz opty :toast:

Nice! :)
very nice opty:toast:
I have yet to have a chip go past 3ghz :(
any dual-core opties/X2's(2x1mb L2) hit 4ghz yet?
nice clocks btw,
Where does he get those wonderful steppings?,... lol
stephen ive tried that trick too :( didnt work for me eigther.

I saw the link, and it said, 4 Ghz, so I was super excited. Then there was all these ellipses after it, so I was like, "Hmm, some sort of anticlimatic contradiction of what I really think?" And then when I got in the opening post, it's not an FX? So I thought, Intel? What? Huh? Anyway I saw the screenshot and all the conflicts went away. Yaya.
:woot: Excellent!
Congrats. Nice work w/ the Opty.
Now pick me a WR FX60. :)

Great job. I was waiting for a non-fx chip to break 4ghz.
:D Hey Stephen, nice work done. It's a honour to see Opteron is jumping into the 4GHz league........;)
What is max. stable speed on water?
:toast:
Hey guys sorry to dissapoint, but there's no way in hell that this cpu's going to finish a 32m or 8m for that matter @ these speeds. I've tried for a couple hours this morning to figure out what's holding the chip back and it seems as if I have under-estimated just how much heat it's putting out. I'm pretty sure that the IHS is making horrible contact with the actual cpu core since my evap temps don't seem to fluctuate much at all with added voltages. At the same time, if I monitor the core temps while loading up the cpu, they jump about 25C @ 1.66V the instant I go from idle to load. In comparison, my FX57 @ 1.70V will only jump ~10C MAX. I'm afraid the only way that I'll get some outrageous runs on this cpu is to take the IHS off and that's something I really prefer not to do (especially since I may sell this cpu later). I'll have to think about what I want to do about this dilemma....on one hand, I don't like to run bare cores, but on the other this cpu's incredible potential has me curious....Here's a glimpse @ what this cpu is capable of (I know the times suck, but just look at the voltages ;) ):

And this is what I was working on most of the time since everything else heated up the cpu too much. I was hoping to get the 3 extra FSB needed for the validation, but ultimately I ended up corrupting my windows install  As it is though, this is simply insane @ 1.76Vcore:

nice 154 s7e9h3n, another great BCE san diego. :toast:
IHS off, IHS off... :D
If you think it's hot it will benefit from it for sure! But then again, resale value might drop as you want to move it at a later time :( Keep trying, Steven!
Stop tempting me :p: I'd say the cpu would become almost immediately 32m stable @ 3700 if the top comes off. It's not exactly a retail cpu, so I guess I wouldn't be voiding any warranties....Quote:

I wanna see wut this chip is fully capable of as well, as do u..
ihs off...do it, do it ;)
IHS off
IHS off
ty come again
