i'm not sure i understand the point of that service entirely.....and me thinks it's getting disabled permanently cause it doesn't look like i'll be needing it
i'm on X800 card so no voltage adjustments for me

My multimeter is awesome and is absolutely dead on when it reads. I can check out other voltages such as mem if you would like.
SIOUX, the x1800xt and X1900XT/X seem to have the same voltage measuring points. I found the X1800XT points on Techpowerup, and they are identical on my x1900xtx.
I think I have the worst XTX chip ever. Still stuck at ~680ish
I have a feeling new drivers are going to bring more to this card. I think the ones on the CD are simply an edited inf file just to get the card recognized. Wait till we get full, proper support via 6.2 which should be out this week I think.
I have not tried overclocking my XTX yet but I hope it does ok. Max CCC at the least. You are only 10mhz off from that but still. Can your card easily do 800 on the ram or do you have issues there too?

I dunno, i think there is something else different between 2D and 3D mode.
Not sure if this will help anyone but I am able to reduce temps considerably from 56C at idle to around 37C - 38C when I apply a mild lap followed by a Brasso rub down. Here is the link
as you can see in the first post (pretty long post so you have to scroll down some) you will see grooves in the HS which I found to be unacceptable. So I lapped it. I would post temp underload but RivaTuner does not work with X1900xtx  . I guess I have to wait for Cat 6.2, hopefully it works. I am sure it reduce temps at load but I still would like to show core temps under load as well as case temps (which RivaTuner does). Anyone have any options?
Oh by the way I know the score on 06 is not extreme I simply wanted to show that a proper lap can reduce temps more so then my score :stick:
Wow, pretty cool lap job. I am fighting high temps. chew told me that this card was very sensitive to heat, and boy is he right.Quote:

Thanks to chew for the help, and eastcoast nice pictures of the ramsinks and lap job.
My idle temps are 44C, during 3D05 my temps get up to 69C.
I have two LCD's, so I let ATItool run in the 2nd screen... and I watch it climb.
The max voltage i can seem to push is 1.475 VGPU and 2.192VMEM
Any more and I hit over 70C and it crashes. Oddly enough, at 650/750 it runs at about 89 with ati's auto fan control.
This thing has major heat issues, and like chew said, once you start overclocking it hates heat. Atleast for me and him.
here is my work:p:

Could someone help me get overclocker.exe to work on my Club3d XTX? I've tried 3 different bios'es. 4 drivers etc. No matter what I do I get this error message: No valid devices found! Requires an ATI Radeon RX5XX based adapter!
Any suggestions to get it to work?
rolf i can not get 900mhz on the mem i trhight evry thing lowering v to 1.9 .
think it my bios :( , can some wanne give me a sapphire XTX bios plz .
mem is runnig cold dont even get hot @ 891 but 900, crash or artifacts :(
Same here using BBA X1900XT.Quote:

what type of cooling are you using to hit 900?
Does that really do anything? I took my stock cooler apart thinking of doing the same thing, but the top of the sink is closed off since each fin is folded over...I can't see how any air would flow through the block at all with a fan on top like that. Just curious if your temps dropped at all?
my is a club3d x1900XTX :(Quote:

That way all the air goes IN, over the copper, and out the back. You end up with a quieter fan, moving MORE air over the heatsink (which isnt a "bad" heatsink) resulting in the best compromise.
Also, a dual outlet shroud could work for CFire feeding two card air inlets from one 92mm fan. Very space saving, yet effective.

Watecooled X1900XTX , no sinks on memory.

Lol u guy's should not wine :D my Sapphire X1900 XT @ XTX bios is only doing 675-775. CAnt even get 800 MHz memory.
I'm using a zalman VF700 now for the noice. Clocked my card @ 600-750 MHz @ 1.15v and 1.9 for the memory.
Waiting for a VF900 or Accelero X2. I think its all about the XT cores. The XTX cores are picked for there speed. And the Memmory controller is inside the core. So i think XT cores can have bad MC's. And that could be a reason why some can't clockt well. If my gpu hits 80+c @ 675-775. I get heavy memory artifacting. Arround 75c all is fine.
I think this has something to do with the memory controller. I i raise it to max i can hit 800 mhz. But as soon as the temp hits 83+c it locks up. But no artifacts yet.Quote:
