No, you can use the whole 7000 cooler and can connect it to your card. the mounting holes from 7000 cooler will fit on x1800 and gt/gtx cards like some people said before.Quote:

The clocks didnt go that much higher from before cus i got quite a crappy clocker.. with 765/900 i broke 11k in 3dmark05.

I barely hear my computer in a quiet room
Does this warp/bend the X1800XT at all? Have any issues installing it in a case?
will this heatpipe work fine in a ATX case
won't it need a BTX ccase to work perfectly ??
i think this is useless for normal case where the vga card is upside down
Nice results on the Zalman there.
Iam in the process of asking ViperJohn about his heatsinks. Might end up getting his cooler, with his kick ass ramsinks.:) install myself.
Sume4
that is what we have been looking for.
But why are you running 1,5V with 690/800?
I run 765/900? That is very impressive I think. What are your loadtemps at these speeds?
The load speeds are the same as with 690/800 somewhere around 55-59c with 23c ambient. I use arctic silver 5 so maybe the temps get a little lower after some time.Quote:

The cooler looks A LOT better on the radeon than with the geforce. Unfortunately i dont have the camera here anymore. I should buy me one.
The temps are with the fan spinning @ full speed, but still its not as loud as the original hsf. I use it normally somewhere around 5volts and cant hear it through the case.
Thanx alot Sume4.
Ill be getting one tomorrow.
Just to make it clear: There are everything included in the package to mount it on the X1800XT? Still a little confused about the back of the gfx-card? Normally if mounting the CPU you will use the backplate that comes with the cooler. What are you using when mountinmg it to the X1800XT?

So the Zalman7000B works without any modifacations at all?
Just to put it on 7800GT or GTX?
Thats very nice if thats right, will it lower my temps from the VF700 anything?

That is awesome, amazing clocks.
I have a Stock A64 heatsink sittng around doing nothing, how would that cool the XT?
Wonder if i could ship it to someone and they could mod it for me?
So i got the VF700 mountings on the x1800xt and you just have to apply some thermal paste and use the bolts that came with the vf700 and mount the 7000 on the card.Quote:

Me wantsii some results with teh vf900:fact:
Oh yeah and ofcourse you have to cut abuut 30 of the finns shorter to get it fit.
Ok!
But i dont think i will be able to clock any higher, but i dont know :)
Is it worth around $25 to buy a 7000Alcu instead of my VF700?
hmm
So I have to get both a VF700 and a 7000?
Or just the 7000 and use some intuition.Quote:

Frick, all these pics are awsome...I'm always looking for options for custom air cooling...and I LOVE the look of the 7000's on these cards...even if I had to support it from underneath I'd love to see the performance of a 7000CU on a GTX and/or 1800XT. :D
nice sink jort, your is a lot cleaner then mine, the heatpipes get in the way of the ati mounting so fastening it without pcb damage was my top priority.
I wish i had the cam now cus the 7000 with blue zalman memsinks looks A LOT sexier on the X1800XT than with teh GTX.Quote:

I made a thread for talking about mounting cpu coolers on GPUs HERE: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...=1#post1236921
So lets continue it there ok.
