be sure to post your results! what board do you have?

about the bh5, i dont think its a matter of dual or single sided sticks. some 256mb sticks have the 8 chips spreaon both sides of the stick, but i think they oc fine in an a64 board. the problem seems to be with 512mb bh5 sticks that have 16 chips. but i cant imagine that all a64 cpus/mobos have problems with 512mb bh5 sticks. ive seen people with 2 512mb sticks reaching 250fsb on a 754 plattform, that means one single memory controller on the a64 was handling 2 512mb sticks... but then again, could be those 512mb sticks only had 8 chips and were therefor single sided...

amazing results mdzpa! i def think your going to keep that gskill now and dont try the corsair eh? :D

but maybe its worth a try, stang_man reached 235mhz 2-2-2 with his corsair xl! sounds like it ocs very nicely!

Just a quick update.I have emailed Gskill regarding a rma.The max my gskill does is 284 3 4 4 8..One module does 272 2.5 3 3 7 before errors the other does 278 before errors on test5 looping.

That's nice and all, but it comes at a ridiculous 3.4 Vmem. That's not my cup of tea. My results are not meant to bench competitive....I do no volt modding. This is not a bench rig, but a 24/7 fully self contained daily gaming rig. Big difference there mate.

Thanks! Like I said, given that everything in the system is unmodded and plug and play, the results are indeed astounding. It's getting results like these without running insane cooling, bansi voltages, outdated or server OS, or other tweaks that make day to day computing unrealistic is what is impressive to me.

LOL...The Corsair XL is already For Sale along with my killer 3500 and A8V.

yah, i think the problem with high fsb is getting to be my motherboard, cause i definitely know i can get these sticks higher..

only 2.83V @ 235, 2-2-2, i'm sure they'll do sweet in a different rig

I'd say around 1.7v. I've used that voltage on my 3500 and FX 53 on air and it did fine.

I had it withou the spreader on at 1.92v with plain water just to see how hot itb would get and it seemed fine but I lowered it to 1.8v.

Mike what command rate are you running at htt287 1T or 2T and how high are you bstable at 2.5-3-3-7-1T at 4X before you have to lower to 3X? Thanks.
