Can one of you guys be so kind as to give me the spacing measurements from this board, or from the back side of your motherboard tray?
I have a member here who is making a custom case and needs the measurements for the standoff spacing

Thanks much!

Please :banana::banana::banana::banana: about the board else where. Sell it and stick to your glorified classified if you don't like it.
Thanks stasio, i'll update the 1st page. I appreciate you posting the bios updates.
I have a UD7 and it has done the job so far. I would get the UD9 if I could see tangible benefits. The box advertises 24 Phase unlocked power but my UD7 is supposed to have 24 Phase power (version 1.0). There seems to be a version 2 UD7 but with 16 phase power. Is this latest 24 and 16 Phase power outputs something to have or am I just as well keeping my version 1.0 UD7? Is the new Phase designs that good?
I'm sure it's a valid question, simply because of the high price of the UD9.
rev2 UD7 will have the all new 16phase PWM we used on the UD9 which is tuned better for Gulftown CPUs so yes it will be an improvement over the rev1 UD7
Same crap on the UD7 with my Lian Li Card reader. First install sees it okay. Shut the rig down & cold boot & all the card slots are missing but the USB port on the card reader is fine. Shut down the rig, plug card reader into the other USB header on the mobo & it's seen at first cold boot & all re-boots thereafter. As soon as the rig is shut down & cold booted again, its Jackanory all over again. :slapass:
Not impressed in the slightest for a £280 high end mobo & Zero support in the UK. It's the last Gigabyte product I will ever buy as long as I have a hole in my ass.

have you tried to get in touch with runn3r at http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php
it's a weird one and ive never seen anything like that. best to either jump into the UD7 support thread on giga UK site to get help rather than UD9 thread
^^^^^^
I wasn't coming on here for help RE: the UD7 m8y. I was just making a comment RE: the USB issues on the UD7, as it appears the UD9 is suffering from the same :bs:
However, this might help you UD9 users. Disable the Sata 3 ports & the Gigabyte IDE ports & the USB should be fine. I flashed this UD7 to Bios F7J & lost the keyboard during a desktop session. What a nightmare gettng USB working again for reverting back to F6. :shakes:
Anyway, it's as good as it can be atm but this board is being RMA'd for another X58 brand & Gigabyte will be billed for the EK Chipset waterblocks. Even my USB CF & other card slots are now showing. If I don't come back in this thread to edit this post, you all know my Lian Li Card reader even survived a cold boot for disabling the Sata 3 & GigaCrap Sata headers.....ffs!
Thanks for the link too, but that's one forum I won't be signing up for.
All the Best,
Charlie
the USB keyboard issue has been solved already on UD9 that was mentioned at the start.............
if you have a problem with your UD7 there was places where you can get it....im just pointing them out  no point :banana::banana::banana::banana:ing about it if you don't want to solve the problem i think
The card reader did survive one cold boot since disabling the Sata 3 & GigaCrap SATA headers. However, I just went to load my Cruzer 4Gb Sandisk pen drive affair & notice all the other Card reader slots have dissapeared again.
I already thanked you for the link, so no need to shrug or go bananas for me. ;)
All the best.
Charlie
the ud7 and ud9 keyboard issue is easy to fix, Alot of people using the G19 keyboard + any brand of Razer mouse usually causes the problem where you cant boot past the UD7 gigabyte logo, Easily fixed though either flash to a newer bios or unplug both and plug back in once OS is loaded :)
what max BCLK you guys reached under LN2, my max is only 237 MHz with 45nm CPU, Gulftown will be next in second round ...
255 on dry ice
Slow mode means crap performance in 3D, 2D is fine...
means you will be running QPI slow doesnt it no?
qpi clocks look high to me
Overlooked that, but I wanna see 3D scores :)
qpi slow mode refers to running QPI at some super slow qpi ratio does it not
it clearly shows you there that it was not running the super slow ratio
Ed was also complaining to me that QPI slow mode ratio on ud7 is buggy and that id doesnt actually work so i wonder if slow mode u select in bios really is running at those clocks on UD9 as well.....there's no need for it anyways these days as u need an unlocked CPU to compete unfortunately and there will be no change over the next year anyways
