In the 2010 edition, there was a limitation of four cores. However, in the new 2011 edition, there is not a limitation to the number of cores that Revit can use while rendering.

Would this board be compatible with the Opty 8356 that are $62/each on ebay right now? not really, I've seen the sheer amount of "fun" that has been needed to get those boards up and running, and it seems newegg canada has gotten some boards again (~300 this time around for them), only major downside is that I would be limited to the quads, the 700 board had support for hexasQuote:

and that is one of the main reasons why I wanted to go with a new tyan board...no muss, no fuss in setup
But really if I don't have to fiddle with the power connectors, if I can just plug them one beside the other it's alright! would a solid 500w be enough?
