I'm actually not very happy with my temps.. goes to 80c at max load after some time. I honestly didn't consider straight water because I thought anti corrosion and decreased boiling temp properties were necessary. I'm planning to flush my loop asap with distilled and a kill coil to see if I get lower temps.
b4 that how about you make a new thread...
in it.. list what you have...
A picture of your system would be even better.
Diagram loop order.
What fans your running on your rad, if possible RPM on the fan.
Cpu Speed and Voltage
Gpu type if watercooled, and overclocked or not.
I dont think a coolant change is gonna get you what your expecting.
Talking about distilled...
This is how much h2o is left after i flush empty then refill 2 systems...
And 80% of it is Haruhi

:wasntme:
My computer is a heavy drinker.. :rofl:
I would get raped in the cost if i went premixes.. :\
Just had time to get some photos, when i got it, was a quick rush to catch the sun before it disappeared for the night.

Then what is best liquid for wc cooling right now? Im using PrimoChill ICE Non-Conductive Coolant right now and dont have any problems with nice temps. Planning to rebuild wc system and add some blocks what will give me 6 blocks in total. What liquid will be the best? Planing to put some UV to have Blue color.
distilled water and silver/PT Nuke with UV blue tubing like what is offered from Primochill

Who is this we. Do you have two heads or something?
I am XS too and you certainly cannot speak for me. No nasties have ever grown in any of my loops and I've been LCing for 4+ years.
All this BS about biologic in the loop is just that: BS.
Use distilled. Use food dye. Profit.
Food dye has not stained any of my acrylic or tubing in the tests I have done.
Do you know where i can buy this silver/PT with UV blue tubing? Distilled water i can buy in any market like tesco right? And for how long it will be ok to keep it before refill? I have this PrimoChill ICE Non-Conductive Coolant from around 4-5 months in my wc system and all temps and rest looks fine. What improve i will have from "distilled water and silver/PT Nuke" ? Do you have any links to some tests with liquids vs distilled water and silver/PT Nuke?
pre-mixes have lead to clogged blocks and are expensive. Any distilled water works, just as long as it says distilled. You properly won't see any major temp difference's from changing to distilled, but it is cheaper and safer. Silver can be gotten from a local jeweler. Any silver will work as long as it is .999% pure. I use iandh's killcoils.
Performance PC's carries the Primochill PRO LRT along with Primochill's site.
i dont trust any premixed coolant... even this one is advertised at biodegradable, and i have a feeling that it's exactly that property of it that causes the stuff to gunk up your blocks. or am i horribly wrong here?
i will see when i will change case how my blooks will looks like. If they will be fine after 5-6 months with PrimoChill ICE Non-Conductive in loop i will stay with that. Water is still water and kinda dont belive in that sliver magic. Would like to see how it perform compering to PrimoChill ICE Non-Conductive. Ive seen PrimoChill ICE Non-Conductive in tests and i kinda belive specialy from my temps without changinf from 5 months. Still need ot finish case then will go for some liquid or this magic water+silver.
CD...
There was a thread back a while ago where people were experimenting with dyes b4 mlwood.
They tried food coloring. And most food coloring is composed of one of these:
* Caramel coloring (E150), made from caramelized sugar, used in cola products and also in cosmetics.
* Annatto (E160b), a reddish-orange dye made from the seed of the Achiote.
* A green dye made from chlorella algae (chlorophyll, E140)
* Cochineal, a red dye derived from the cochineal insect, Dactylopius coccus.
* Betanin extracted from beets.
* Turmeric (curcuminoids, E100)
* Saffron (carotenoids, E160a)
* Paprika (E160c)
* Elderberry juice
Most of what is listed can be used by a microbe to grow.
That is why i said it promotes nasty.
The artificial food coloring showed it tends to bond faster to the tubing then the natural ones.
That's why that thread concluded was the food coloring preferred staining the
tubing because it had more area to deposit itself onto, then actually stay suspended in liquid.
And it was preferred to use a straight up chemical DYE, since there was no concern with it being eatable.
And didn't you always use Hydrx??
When did u use straight up food coloring?
i think its the glycol in the antifreeze portion that's clumping up.
