first, the sata goes from SB, if you pull it to i/o panel, it goes a long way
and the singal from internal pcb is not that clear, also will reduce singnal quality, and affect other componets ( from lab test max length from e-sata only 1.5M). and even you use a "e-sata" you need to prepare a "external-power cable" for your device, i can't see anything good here.( maybe it has good looking?)
and like GBT's way, sata goes from SB, then use a extension, the signal
is directly from SB and goes to extension sata, im sure the extension cable quality is very good,you can use 2M length sata connect to the extension still work well, also you have a power on the extension,:)
