thats true it depends on geography but 30 minutes apart doesnt help much.
maybe they should invest in more cables if they cant get around the geographic limitations.

More cables obviously doesnt help :p:
A land cable could solve alot. But land cables cost more than sea cables. Land cables would usually also carry much more data. Since they are easier to fix and simpler.
It would be nice with a land cable tho from europe across russia to india, china, korea, japan. Would put pings down under 150ms to japan instead of 300ms today. And China would go down to 60-175ms or so depending on where. Or almost better.
A seacable over the northpole (Around actually) to Japan from europe would also be about 34% shorter than the one today.
I mean its quite easy for the naked eye to see that these aint layed for low latency.

Putting them further apart increases the chance 1 gets hit. Putting them closer together decreases the chance 1 gets hit but ofc if they get cut the chances r big that more then 1 gets cut.
I think they put them close together so Ship captains know not to drop anchor in the area. guess there may also b political reasons for putting the cables in certain areas.
To all just read this:
http://www.cnn.com/2008/TECH/02/08/internet.outage/
the main cables go out or are cut on a regular base. But usualy they are capable of rerouting and stil having enough capacity for it to go unnoticed.
But cause these cables go to the middle easy people ofc immedialy come with conspiracy ideas and cause more then 1 are cut the lack of capacity is immediatly noticed.
ps.
u damn wel know its the Atlanteans preparing to conquer the surface world.
well acording to a pic i saw, these sit on top of the sea floor, should they bury them a couple feet also ???
Not even undersea pipelines get burried.
They just lower them down from the surface and lay them on the floor.
hmmmm and i was blaming my ISP (Qtel) , will they should have the news on there website , or in newspaper >.<
Qtel in Qatar?
Didnt you read the paper? It was front page on Friday :P
here is why you don't want satillite(my speed test) http://www.speedtest.net/result/376663798.png
how do these actually get "cut?
Its fiber :p:
But when you bend it too much it cracks and break. Or even tho its panser covered it can still be ripped over.
Here is some pictures btw:

Well, just go ahead and try it then if you think I'm dreaming. Like I said (and I back up what I say) you do NOT wanna go there. So, why don't you do what said you were gonna do and STFU.
You seem awfully worried about getting banned. How many times have you been banned from here? Have you finally ran out of accounts and ISP's?
Yeah, he's got some kind of hard head case. I guess he doesn't have a clue who he is talking to. Like most on here. Definitely the mark of a troll.
Trolling? Listen, if you've got something to say, say it, if not, then you are just wasting people's time, and are doing exactly what you tried (and failed) to accuse me of...trolling. Get real.
Ahhh, I see. So what was found to be the cause?
Patience is a virtue. The cableship havent arrived there yet.

It were Santa and the Easter Bunny, I saw them do it.
Why don't we discuss the effects rather than the cause? And think of solutions to the problem rather than point fingers?
