I count 16 :p: What are they thinking?
i like it that ASUS is using black PCBs...but their boards are getting massive heatpipes on them.
They had better release to the public within the next 2 weeks or else i'm going to hulk out ;)
I like Asus mobos but I'm so used to/content with gigabyte boards and their bios I don't think I want to switch.
hehe, I used to use Asus exclusively until I got my current MSI board, and I got converted to MSI o.O
I'm just a sucker for the cool shiny copper pipes.
The Deluxe version looks good though, but MSI should be able deliver that kind of passive cooling on a lower priced board.
Seems like they bought too much chokes and fets :D
hey guys,
when are these boards due in?
i want one so bad!!!
hope no one has posted this yet, found at VRZone

P5Q-E it is. Excellent.
you mean P5Q-E?
I have some scoops, hope it's not a repost!
First Asus ROG Maximus II Formula picture (note the 2 phases on the memory and the 3 phases on the chipset):

The included Supreme FX with X-Fi chip. (The only downside is that it only supports EAX HD 4.0):

There is more info about the Asus P45 Line-up at PCGamesHardware. Remember that there is more info on the next page and in the Image Gallery.
LOL at "G-Brand" :)
Can't wait until these boards are out
And ASUS is right, Gigabyte design is not a true 12 phase design.
Hmm, are the MSI boards 16 phase?
I never paid much attention to this detail, maybe I will be retuning to Asus then o.O
And i'm not buying a Gigabyte now :p
Is this Asus design *TRUE* 16 phase?...what chips are they using?, i thought Intersil only had 6 phase PWM chips?
:)) hahaha seems like ASUS isn't discreet about the G-brand :p
hahahah Gigabyte's gonna have a laugh when they read this :ROTF::D
they are probably feeling a bit of pressure as they are losing ground on them otherwise they wouldn't introduce all these new changes to their boards to counter GB hahahah
I wish they didn't go down this path as it will soon start to be more about bling than board itself :(
both Gigabyte and Asus need to take a step back a bit imo
what they all need to do is respond with good pricing and not this crap ;)
