With this hsf, temp. in bios around 38 with almost 1.5Vcore idle...
With +1.6Vcore probly will go higher Mhz:)

This particular E8500 ES 739XXXX maxed at 545-547 FSB (on air)...I think the same goes with E8500 retail 740XXXX.

It seems like E8400 retail can do >550 FSB.

so we have a standard that maximus CAN do +540 fsb...nice..:)
and i guess that the .5 multi is working correctly..
