Actually the voltage on those 3GHz Phenom in this video is set to 1.5125 volts, so 2.7 GHz on stock volts looks pretty normal

I would like to see the same configurations (ram timings, clock speeds) on a 790 mobo. I am really curious if there is any performance difference
Stock should be anywhere from 1.1 to 1.25V :)

nice scores, man!
Hope you'll get to push it to 3ghz!
Hi AMD_Phenom,
I know everyone is inundating you with requests for this bench and that bench, I'm sure we all appreciate your work so far...... but can I ask you to run a full 3dmark06 and post the detailed results SS....
I'm still wondering if the graphics problem exists on the M2N-SLI, I should be getting a reply from ASUS tech support tomorrow, so if the problem doesn't exist with your BIOS I can point that out to them.....
Thanks for all the hard work....
Kaz
Pretty good and nice topic!
Really interested in seeing the total sciencemark results!
Btw: are you going to post the results with the other mobos here or on new topics? :D
Thanks a lot! ;) And congrats!
Hi Kaz. I just run 3D06 and it passed without incident. I was showing crysis to a couple of mates earlier and experienced no problems whatsoever. This is still single card as I haven't had time to fit my 2nd gts yet (this darn quad is gettin' all my attention, lol).
I'm heading up into the loft in an hour and will re-run 3D 06 in full for you then. I also have sciencemark to re-run and a few others so I'll post back in a couple of hours with results.
eagerly awaiting
I have a score for 3D mark06 if anyone cares...
I have a Phenom 9500 running at @ 2.64 Ghz (11x240)
DDR2-800 (running at 5-5-5-12-T2 i believe (running exactly at 800 (set to 666 and then * 1.2))
8800GTS 320 (stock)
and my scores are....
3DMark Score 9941 3DMarks
SM 2.0 Score 4011 Marks
SM 3.0 Score 3990 Marks
CPU Score 3846 Marks
I know these clocks are not very agressive, and I could probably tighten the timings on the ram some, but I'm still just experimenting, and if the system crashes, i tend to have a lot of trouble getting into the state that its in.
For anyone wondering, my sim score in supreme commander is within 1 point of someone with a Q6600@3Ghz, making Phenom probably clock for clock equivalent is Supreme Commander. Unfortunately, SupCom only uses about 60% of each core on average, and I don't think the results are any different on intel CPU's.
PS. It says I'm not using Furturemark approved drivers for my video card. Will update and run again...
My drivers are not that old, just not the newest.
^--Nevermind....
Hi Chaos
Can I ask what mobo and bios you are using...???
Just looking to put together as much info as I can to give to ASUS....
BTW: if it helps your 3dm06 score is about the same as my oc'd 6000+@ 3450MHz, with single 8800GTS 320mb @ 612/900 gfx card.....I'll have a look to see if I can find a screenshot of it for you to compare...!! I know its not stored in Futuremark ORB but I may still have an old SS of it...
Couldn't find one with the result details this is the only one I still have of it, my system at the time, was 6000+ @ 3450MHZ, 8800TS 320MB 612/900, 2GB DDR2-800 4-4-4-12 1T RAM @ 863MHz......just to give you something to compare.... after I added the 2nd 8800GTS for SLI the score went up to 12100, then when I changed to the 6400+ @ 3520MHz it went up to 12800, so not much improvement

Thanks..
Oh, sorry, forgot to mention that i guess
I have an M2N-SLI deluxe, like the OP
And i'm using the latest bios for that motherboard from the asus web site, the only one that will work with Phenom as far as I know
Version 1302 2007/11/20 update
Description M2N-SLI_DELUXE 1302 BIOS

Individual scores for your 3dmark06 would be interesting
@ AMD-PHENOM
Hey, whats you're take on this chip with the Errata Bug? Are you able to pass prime for 8hrs over 2.4ghz and if so at what point does the errata become evident?
I ask because I will be getting the D.F.I 790FX M2R and doing a write up and direct comparison towards my existing P35 Platform just wondering what chip to get for the board test 6400+ or 9500 but will not buy 9500 if the errata bug is there and its not Prime Stable Overclockable!;)
Yeah I been looking now to see if I can find an old SS, but havn't got one I'm afraid, and I deleted the project slots in futuremark ORB to make room for the 6400+ ones I ran, I can give you some of them if you like but they're all 2x 8800GTS SLI scores.... heres a compare url for my last score with the 6400+
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=3455900
Well it does seem as though the problem lies in the chipset then, as the m2n uses the 570 chipset, and the m2n32 the 590 chipset, so maybe thats what Asus needs to look at with the m2n32 bios.....though the fact it won't allow my RAM to run at its rated speed is also a bit odd.
My 3dmark06 score with the Phenom at stock is a very lowly 6173 which is less than half the score I was getting with my 6400+, allbeit OC'd to 3520MHz.
I boot up with a low CPU multiplier. The Northbridge is unaffected by the CPU multiplier. It's only affected by increasing the speed of the FSB (or HTT or whatever it is)
No way to adjust NB multiplier in the Bios ?
This has already been covered..... hes using a unlocked version it seems, as he uses a x14 cpu multi, and the 9500 has a max x11 multi....
Anyone else getting fed up of seeing this vid....???
Nothing against you doom, just fed up of seeing this posted all over the place....!!!
Yes, may no one post it ever again.
So in a nutshell there seems to be HTT (base clock) walls in the 240s-260. Kazgirl, I take it you can't actually boot above your limit, as opposed to not stable?
These are early revisions of the chips i think we are expecting to much?... but still 2.2-2.7 on stock volts isnt anything to be sniffed at!!
Next line of chips will have higher mulit's so if these chips have ht wall of 240-260 this will help us get more mhz!!
Or just wait for the Phenom Black or FX??
Hi,
Yes any attempt at changing anything in the BIOS causes POST failure needing a CLR CMOS.... I tried all sorts, must've CLR CMOS'd it at least 10 times already.....and its becoming a pain as I have to take out the gfx card to get to the jumper, every time I have to do it.....so I'm going to have to wait for a better BIOS from ASUS I think....
Just in case I downloaded the BIOS again today and re-flashed, just in case the original had some problem, but same thing is happening....
