What was the frequency limit on the 3850's?
Just need FLASH TOOL.

cant wait to update the bios... come on give us that tool man...... ;)

Nice :) Thank you!
@w1zzard
I hope amd/ati continue on this path with o.c. working on both cards from the release, and quick bios fix like this... to reward their hard work I am going to buy a couple. heck ,I may get three for tri-fire.
I need this flash tool quick :D
Waiting since yesterday for that.
Same here, and under 41C load @860MHz with my Accelero S1 + 140mm Yate. I think this chip has a ton of headroom. Trying to be patient, but that bios is just there mocking us :ROTF:
Well either way, ill be away for the next 2 days for Thanksgiving holiday, so hopefully that will take my mind off this until the weekend
Hmmmm... I coulda swore I reposted it. Oh well.
Thanks Jup.
Hopefully the His or Sapphire cards come back in stock sometime soon, when I'm not working, so I can grab one.
Excited to see how far these can be pushed on a chilled H2O setup or for those crazys that work with DICE.
Anyone know if a 600W PSU will power two hd3870's in xfire? its coupled with an x2 6000+, 1 360GB hdd, 2 DVD drives????
And how does the S1 sit with the stock ramsinks?
A solid 600W will be fine since these do not suck nearly as much power as the 2900XTs. I highly recommend the Corsair 620HX if you are looking for a very solid / modular 600W supply. One gigantic +12v line and it wont flinch even with quadcore systems
The S1 clears the Stock Ramsinks fine. I kept all the sinks (memory, vreg) except for the main gpu hs. The biggest drawback is you won't be able to use the cooler in a crossfire setup since its wayy too big and blocking the connectors. I wrote up a mini-review if you are interested in seeing the temps I am getting with the S1. http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=166432
I'm running on 600W OCZ SXS and slightly overclocked 6000+. On top of that 400GB Samsung, 2x40GB IBMs, SB Audigy, 4 fans, card reader, DVD RW, so on...
All that when OCed can pull 470W max under heavy load. Mind that CPU @3500 1.5V, mem @2.32V, both cards @860/2400!!
Hope that this will help...
Pro....
Thanks v.much i shall definitely bare that in mind :D
Another question if you dont mind :D i'm just trying to decide what kit i need for upgrade to crossfire 3870's, do you reckon i should go for:

or...
