aye probably around 200-210 at launch. it's already available for ~210-215 at many places. i ordered mine friday night for 213 shipped
Looks like I'll be preordering tonight :)
Itttttttttt's heeeeeeeere
l719a
packdate 6/27
sla9v
e6750
initial testing on dfi p965-s shows that
this thing blows
:(
seems to be similar to obr's results with his l719a's.
before i swapped cpu's, my settings were 8x450=3600 with 1.50v.
It did numerous up and downs before posting at 8x266=2133 with 1.35v
Seeming to be having a really hard time. If I can't get this thing to do 3.6ghz with <1.4v, it's going FS. i'm looking for something that'll do 8x500=4000 with 1.46-1.5v.
PGN. same place as you?
tried 8x400=3200 with 1.5v. went into windows. used setfsb to scale to 8x425=3400. instant lockup.
testing 7x450=3150 at 1.5v right now to see if it's actual megahertz issue or fsb issue.
edit: looks like it's fsb issue. the optimistic me wants to say the dfi p965-s is going crazy with the new g0 333fsb's, but that's probably just poor logic optimism...
test of 7x450 failed.
yikes, not good. I hope the more expensive E6850 are more optimistic. Considering I am going from an X2 to a C2D any speed on the E6850 will be faster than what I have now however I would love 3.6 to be easily obtainable.
officially going FS. looks like good ol e6400 will have to duke it out longer. maybe even keep it until penryn.
7x400=2800 chugs along at stock vcore. 7x420 clockgen is instant lockup.
