@Solarfall......I have requested sub timings for the P35/Cell shock ram from Raja and Praz because what MemSet 3.3 shows I have entered manually but the other ones I haven't a clue about as to what parameters to work within and what they do on this board! Perhaps you are more knowledgeable about this than I and you could assist please?:)
Brother_Esau, use MemTest and just play with the sub-timings on your own. Memtest will show you what's stable. Make sure you do enough runs, use tests 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6.
@ Brother Esau do as enjoy said play around with the subtimigs yourself with memset its a freaking kickass program for an overclocker.. i know it takes time to find the stable setting.. when i get the replacement psu i will get back to you with on this "ram settings
matter" ...
@saaya. thanks brotha.. i will try to find the time to actually post some screenies to pack that up:up:
yeah, imo all mobos should have memtest included in the bios like dfi boards.
how stable was your mem at those speeds solar?
well the i only runned the 603mhz (4-4-4-9 2T) with superpi ( didnt really get to the proper testing phase with that cos of the psu :( ) 1M.. the 500mhz with 4-3-3-9 latency's i was able to pass superPi 32M.
What test bed are you running you're Cell Shock in 680i? I see some very impressive results there are they in P35 with that Vdimm and clocks:D I ask because if thats in the D.F.I P35 is that Blend stable at those Voltages? I pass Memtest 1.70 with flying colors but prime Large FFT Pass without issue but blend fails in minutes:( Even took out the Q6600 G0 and put in E6600 and still same deal  Raja , Praz, are getting Identical results, one stick goes Balls to the Wall but add the second and Blend does not want to pass unless at very HIGH Vdimm:shrug: so I know its not just me seeing how the D.F.I Testing Crew is directly involved:rolleyes:
It is quite common for Memtest to pass where Prime will still fail. Memtest is only the beginning of stability testing, Prime tells the true tale in the end. Unfortunately, it sounds like you have one stick that is much weaker than the other. You may want to try swapping around the sticks in the slots, sometimes placing a weaker stick closer to the CPU can actually assist in it's clocking abilities. ;)
Hey, Alex whats up? Memtest yea I know about that but thank you regardless:)
Well I have a 680i system thats brand new that I built to sell so I am just formating Winblows as we speak and I have installed the Cell Shock in that in hopes to find If there is a problem that resides in the Ram itself (could be) but that I will find out shortly and see if the best Ram Overclocking Board will allow me to see what these sticks have to offer:cord: :cord: :cord: :cord: :D
I bought these when they came out ( for an exorbitant price I might add ) however I got a second set from ebay at at a very reasonable price ( there is a GOD :) I have had to RMA them as one stick failed miserably after 6 months. the guys over in germany are very nice and that wasn't a problem. In all the tests I did and the results I looked at they were only moderate overclockers and I expected better results from the first 8 layer PCB memory. having said that they are an alternate to the mainstrem and i appreciate the effort. Can any advise how to do some comprehensive testing with my ASUS Striker extreme. I was happy running them in synch at 800Mhz under spec:D
Not sure if these were the first 8 layer. I bought a 8 GB kit of GeIL Black Dragon several months ago touted as 8 layer and had a devil of a time getting it to run on the P35 chipset.
I had thught 8 layer would be much better--but in fact I never even got the RAM to run at rated speeds...and never with 8GB in 64 bit Vista...
Still looking for the perfect RAM...I will have to give Cell Shock a try.
Cellshock did have the first 8-layer PCB's on their DDR2. This review was done back in March of this year, and Hipro5 did the first preview of it months before.
There were/are many manufacturers who make 8-layer PCB's. There are two or three that are decent, and one that was especially spectacular, and many RAM makers chose this PCB for there 8-layer high-end dimms.
From what I was told by a well trusted employee of a major memory company, the 8-layer PCB's improved memory clocking by as much as 70-80MHz on the same IC's as used on 6-layer.
UPDATE:.......I'm afraid that its a board Incompatibility Prime95 Blending as we speak 1162MHZ ~ 3:4 ~ 4-4-4-12 @ 2.4Vdimm:eek::cord:   ....Dance you Freeking Banana Dance!!!::banana:  :slash: :hump:
Sascha anymore reports on Ram problem with DFI P35 coming in?
here are my overcloking results from the fantastic cellchock cl4 ram stick.. they really seem to like the voltage.. both screenies were done with 2.49v (bios voltage)

Wow, nice results you got there!
Very nice results. Just got a pair of them along with a Maximus. Hope for the best... :)
Any results on the maximus yet JoeBar? They seem to like the board. On Commando and P5B mine did max 620mhz cas 5 for 1M regardless vdimm, on X38 a lot better. Strange because Ballistix goes wel over 620mhz on same Commando.

how much volts would you guys put on this kit for 24/7, assuming it's actively cooled (OCZ mem cooler here)? thnx
