- 9 x 300 Vcore origine : faill

For the moment, the max fsb is (in XP) 8 x 380MHz (1.55v and +0.30 for chipset)
But when I reboot, black screen somes secondes, reboot, black screen somes secondes, reboot, ...
I must make a clear CMOS !
lol, bro, you sound like professional reviewer gradually:D

Have you tested this bios ? because I have a question :)Quote:

Fisrt overclocking via bios : 9 x 350MHz | +0.3 chipset | 1.58vcore and in XP, I use EasyTune to have 9 x 455MHz :DQuote:

Nice results so far. :toast:
Is insulation tricky on this board because of the heatsinks surrounding the socket? Have you got any pics of your insulation?

Good job ;)
what is the Max bootable ?
Its the DQ-6 man.. not the QD-6 :P.
Correct it :P.
Really good job though :).
For the moment 475MHz x 9 (http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=107597)Quote:

Yesterday, I have tested ClockGen (compatible with DQ6) but impossible to use the soft  I make new tests today.
Yes :DQuote:

I finished the tests with E6600 step4.
For the moment, I prefer not to exceed 1.8v
I have, with ClockGen (thank you Franck) still which been able to increase the frequency a little but which not been able to validate !
http://users.skynet.be/fb331210/4347.jpg
And I believe that with a better cooling of the CPU and chipset, I will have been able to validate them.
Here, just a photograph of the screen :D

Now... E6700 step5 :D
CornerJack, can you verify the 7950GX2 problem, where it apparently is only running at half speed? I wonder if Gigabyte is aware of this?
nice job cornerjack.
Even with F3a BIOS, E6600 and E6700 FSB are limited for me.
Still testing.
update:
F3a BIOS let me get to 445mhz FSB * 9 = 4005mhz on E6600
Cant boot higher than 400mhz FSB, then use the gigabyte clockgen program to crank it up.
Not bad! Going for more :)
please test with 7950GX2 and explain the results with it
Ok, tomorrow I make test with the 7950 ;)
Benny - thanks so much for sharing the Bios ( and emailing me the earlier one as well!!!)Quote:

Unfortunately I can still only boot once into bios with 450FSB - next reboot always fails to post so far. I'll have to try 440...

Wonderful to see that the DQ6 and 7950 are running, however that result looks too low to me..my 4400+ and 7950 at stock are getting 7337 in 3dmark06.
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=349219
I would have thought the E6700 would have been a hell of a lot higher
looks like PCI-E went down to 8X as well :-(
more good news on my front, able to take it up to 475 on the DQ6 via Gigabyte software. Kinda ran into a small wall at 4275mhz, didnt have time to mess with FSB voltage much.
NB gets HOT!
Seems like a real winner.
