i think they'll be much better under certain lighting conditions than others. the one problem is that we don't really see the side of the spreader all that much. something UV reactive for OCZ's next design would be nifty :D

(a black pcb would have been nice too.)

Not to be rude or anything but the Rainbow colors look kind of Gay. Woud Black and Silver be out of the question? I wouldn't mind paying extra

Looking good... but black or dark purple PCB should match the theme.
Perhaps the honeycomb grille should be Ti coated too...and make the grille all the way to the top.

No offense, but if I had to choose between 2 identical modules. One with those heatsinks and another with black heatsinks, I would know what to choose...
I think 99% of the oc'ers would preffer black in stead of ..

Altough the colours on the pics Tony posted earlyer look much better ;)

The issue is there is pretty much only you wanting black and silver at this time.

We have orange and yellow on the way to that will go well with DFI boards as well as other camo colors....i doubt you will like these either though.

Will the camo be on any other modules besides the SOE, I LOVE the camo. Yellow/Orange sounds cool too.

well to say they are gay rainbow colored is not true if that is what you are saying, I was making a point that there is little NN likes, infact i haven't seen anything he has liked for a while now as i mooch thru the forums reading.

There will be many colors of spreaders but i doubt NN will like any of them apart from back and silver which happens to be the colors no one has asked for.

aside from NN lol. If push comes to shove NN, you could always just repaint them yourself. If it really offends you seeing such bright colours.

Well as i said, i like the rainbow coloured. Even though it's a bit hippy-ish, i think it looks very cool indeed. If you're going to have heat spreaders make 'em look nice i say. Good call OCZ

I like elegant quality, a good product with Good service.. If push comes to shove, I'll take the Chips off the PCB and solder them onto a new one if I have to....

Old ddr maybe but BGA..no chance, you pull the IC's off they stay off. Also if you pull any spreaders off BGA modules you stand a good chance of pulling a chip off with them, just something to consider.

on a side note NN, the titanium looks back and sliver dependant on the light, so we already do a spreader that suits your tastes

That's very dramatic and elegant, but why the hell would you do that? All they have done is coloured the heatspreaders, not the whole PCB!!! Just take them off if they offend you.

Anyway, do you spend your whole time looking at your PC and RAM in particukar? I'd have thought that the PC either goes under the desk, while you do your thing, or set up on a table top while you bench. Either way, appearance of a little thing like RAM isn't THAT important in the grand scheme of things.
