I just got this from Origin - this is regarding CES:
"We are pleased to announce to you that we are sending 3 systems to CES running Ice Dragon nanofluid. 1 system will be at Nvidia Booth and the 2 other monster systems will be at our hotel suite"
Awesome relttem!
relttem check your emails mate.
I responded to ya..
you all have about two weeks left before we take away the free shipping. We are just getting back into town and hopefully will have the orders we got this week out tomorrow (sorry they are a little late - we were on travel). Next week, if we get any orders after Thursday they won't go out until after CES.. Stop by our booth 25404..
you've got until Thursday..or it'll be 10 days before it gets shipped
Perfect, just bought another 2 bottles.
Get some snaps while at CES mate.
Relttem, I place an Order on Sunday but haven't received any shipping info yet. Have all orders been shipped out?
yes, all are in the mail.. except for the two we got yesterday.. I think one was to FL and the other to CA.. those go out today.
All orders after today won't get mailed until we get back from CES..
thanks
Thanks a lot. Should I have received any kind of shipping confirmation or tracking number?
only tracking numbers we get are for overseas...USA stuff is priority mail, and usually doesn't take long at all - I would imagine mid week at the latest.
If any of you are at CES stop by...booth 25404..
we are off..
The fluid has to be always in movement either we can arreter the pc in the evening ?
you can turn the PC off. The particles are coated, so they will not stick together. And, if you are only turning the PC off for a few hours you will be fine.
Thanks for everyone that stopped by our booth..even if you made fun of the Dragon case (I put that together in a little over a month and shipped in a home-made box via UPS - what do you expect?..:) ) Fractal/Bill Owen gave us some cases while we were out there, and we are thinking of doing a give-away via our Facebook page with them. We made some great contacts and will be working with these people as we go forward.. CES is a blast, but it is so tiring..
Hope you had a good time out there im looking forwards to the UK version soon.
(that's if i can find one :) )
That other pic you put up with the bottle encased in ice is hilarious....
We have been working with Bill Owen at MNPCtech.com and came up with this fan guard..what do you think?

I'd like to have some of it for my new rig but some question.
-I just knew from other wc website about impingement corrosion, did you ever disassemble and inspect the angle fitting? Solid dissolving in flow of fluid is very similar to sandblasting concept.
-Do you plan to have hi concentrate premix version? I'm in far Asia where ur midnight is my daynoon, I'll die of shipping expense. It's tropical here, very good distribute is easy to find
@Royteane -
We have a few resellers already in Asia. One in Japan, one in Thailand, and are talking with BitsPower now.. would those help with shipping?
Also, the nanoparticles are 40nm in size. This is way smaller than any sandblasting material. When we did the initial research we had the nanofluid flowing over a painted flat plate, and the nanofluid didn't have any effect on the paint. The fluid was flowing at 40gpm thru a 2in x 2in section..The Reynolds number was close to 200,000 - that is cruising.
Quite surprise to here about reseller in Thailand. Can I have his name and contact?
this one lol

that dragon really needs his little lego man in it :D
Canadians -
can you give me your thoughts on DazMode - PC Shop in Canada..
thanks
It is the only dedicated WC store in Canada. Limited in size but still pretty awesome.
we are talking to them about selling our stuff..good idea?
im surprised he responded
he visited us at CES, and then I tracked him down on Facebook..got it going from there.. :)
Dunno sent 3 email and not a sniff of a response so gave up trying. We actually ship quite a lot over there so there loss really.
@relttem we nearly sold out of IDC as in yours. so need to chat to you soon.
We will be selling at DazMode soon enough..
@Mayhems.. that rocks..
Enter the Dragon..:)
Please ask Freddy, owner of www.highflow.nl, if he is willing to sell your coolant. He´s a good guy and many german customers buy from him nowadays, because i often mentioned his shop in german forums :)
we all ready deal with freddy so we can provide him when he next orders.
I think Just sent you an email from our yahoo acct.. did you get it? We are checking on the shipping to DazMode today, and then we'll go from there. We are trying to find the best shipping method to Canada. But, I would think the order will go out tomorrow or Friday..so, any day now for them.
I miss the koozies you use to include. :(
Daz Mode's order goes out today/tomorrow.. yay..
Might have to order some if FTW ever pulls through with my custom res I am getting made. My build is starting to take a lot longer then it should :(
what do you think about this for our bottle?
http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g7...gon-bottle.jpg
and here is our very FIRST fan grill.. thank you Bill Owen at MNPCTech...
http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g7...s/fangrill.jpg
Cool bottles, available in black tint too ?
we can only do the bottles in Blue..black doesn't come in the right size.
per the fan grill..
we are looking at Blue, Red and Black.. We are debating the Red.. would red be a good choice?
here is the blue:

Sure, all colors are good depending on the case.
The grills should look GEIL (=awesome) in a Danger Den Acrylic Case...for example
business is looking good. sadly my 2nd order from you didn't went through last year now prices + shipping is expensive :(
We have people selling in Thailand and Japan now...have you looked into those to see if it cheaper?
thailand

japan

even Australia might work
http://thekoolroom.com/
What are the prices on those fan grills?
May have to order some if I have enough space in my case. Keep on forgetting to write everything I do down since I have already measured out rad sizes like ten times but keep forgetting to save.
We really haven't even gotten that far yet. Actually, we haven't even ordered them from Bill, but we only have to give him the OK, which will probably happen tomorrow..We will know a price then..
a couple questions about this stuff, as Ive been looking at it for a while.
What are the benefits over regular distilled + kill coil?
Will it stain my blocks/res/tubes?
Can I shut my PC off and still use this coolant?
Thanks, the bottles look great and the fan grill too
Yes, you can shut off your computer. I have shut off one of mine for months without any problems. As soon as everything gets going the particles will mix back up. It won't stain anything either. You can wipe anything clean.
We will put a picture of all the fan guards on our facebook page when we get them..probably a few days. We are looking at $10 + shipping (which won't be much at all if you are in the USA)..
rock on
I think that they reported something like a 2c difference.
The eagle has landed in Canada..Daz Mode has received the package..
Hey relttem, could you please do me a huge favor and confirm or deny my last two posts. It would be better if the facts came directly from the source, not just me.
Thank you.
yes, zinc nanoparticles.. nominal size is 40nm. The 2C really depends on the system. If you are cooling a CPU it will probably be less than that, but if you are cooling CPU, RAM, 2x GPU etc it will be greater. OriginPC on their high end machines got 8 degrees difference. When we run a system like we had at CES with 450W going into the block we get about 4C.
The reason behind that is how the heat transfer is a function of viscosity, thermal conductivity and Cp (Re and Pr). The nanofluid's viscosity is higher than water's at low temperatures, but as you heat it up the viscosity nearly matches that of water's. The thermal conductivity is higher, the Cp is slightly lower. Therefore, at the cooler end, the increase in thermal conductivity makes up for the decrease in viscosity, but at the fluid warms up and viscosities get closer the increase in conductivity pushes the performance past that of water. If you look up Dittus-boelter for internal flow, you can sort of see what I am talking about.
Perfect, thank you. That just means I have to get two GPUs next time around :D
we finally got the fan grills up for sale.. USA only, but if you are overseas and want one just email me. I'll get the shipping cost to you, and we can go from there..
http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g7...s/IMG_0197.jpg
the fan grills are in the mail to all of you that ordered..
:)
Does Icedragon coolant require a killcoil or a biocide agent or is it all premixed?
it is all premixed..doesn't need anything..except some heat..:)
Ordered some from Daz and should have it by the end of the week
*update*
Received my order, now for flushing my loop (using feser 1 atm) should I drain and rinse using distilled water and then let it dry? What's the best way to go from an existing fluid to this product?
For those of you asking about fan guards outside the USA.. $5 for shipping to Canada and $10 every where else..:)
If you haven't done it yet. I would hook up everything to to the tap and clean them. Then rinse them with distilled.
http://martinsliquidlab.org/2011/02/...ck-rads-clean/
Then let it dry. If there is any dye left over it will tint the IDC and not look as good.
Project : Daedra is alive and running; 5GHz at 32c (idle). Thank you Ice Dragon!
I'm still bleeding the loop  and messing around with stability before I take it up to 5200MHz and beyond .
I will have some professional pictures taken once we move into our new office and share them with the world.
Definitely get the dye out.. all of it...ALL OF IT
Flushed and rinsed all my blocks this weekend and I will be swapping out the tubbing just to make sure, just waiting on a few things from Dazmode (Raystorm Adapter as I decided to give SB a go) so I am hoping to have it up and running on Friday
i was using Feser 1 red, but only since december, flushed both rads with warm water and rinsed with distilled water, using a DDC pump, took it apart and washed the non electrical parts and rinsed with distilled water
one thing I would do is before you put everything back together take a small amount of the nanofluid and pour it in the radiator and shake it up..if it is dye free the fluid will come out white and you can re-use it, but if there is any dye left it'll be pink.
relttem, i have a couple of question before using the the ice dragon.
1. I'm currently using destilled water, i'll have to flush everything but some small water drops will probably remain inside the radiator and other parts, this could be a problem?
2. Can i reuse the nano fluid? Where i live there is a lot of dust and have to clean the radiators every month or two. So i was planing in flushing the fluid back to the original bottles or a bigger one.
Thanks!
no problems with a small amount of water..and, yes, you can re-use it. I know Lowfat on here has done just that.
Is it still possible to order through your facebook page instead of a retailer (ie, dazmode in my case). Want to order a fan grill so if I am already getting one thing myswell get it all, right?
Still not sure on exact amount since FTW PC is being very slow with responses as of late since I need enough for the 8 bay reservoir I am (hopefully) getting.
Also, any recommendations on tubing to use with it? Looking at getting black and clear tubing and using red dye in the coolant so it will have a red/black look to my loop to fit the overall theme with my build.
Bill Owen introduced me to Ice Dragon fluid at CES. I gotta say, I was really impressed. I'm an anti-foam warrior which is hard to battle when running a lot of head pressure but this stuff behaves excellent in that type of situation.
An amusing anecdote...I was sitting there talking and asking questions and all the while I thought they were using white tubing, like beautiful white Primochil tubing. Turns out the fluid really is a brilliant white. And when I say white I mean solid white--not milky white.
We really don't sell individual bottles anymore. We try to get people to buy thru the resellers..You can buy from us, but it will be TWICE as much as you would pay thru a reseller..that forces people to buy thru a reseller.
The fan grills you can get thru the facebook page. But, if you are in Canada you'll have to go thru me. I think a page or two back I mentioned how much the shipping is to Canada. So, PM if you want one and we'll go from there.
thanks
PM'ed. Would price be double even if I plan on ordering probably 6 or more?
it is a one-time shipping charge...unless the order is crazy-large.
Will IDC have any sort of issues w/ nickel plated blocks? I know I have seen people use it w/ nickel plated blocks, I just haven't heard anything about the results.
Honestly, I can't say yay or nay because we have never used it. But, two things off the top of my head, 1) as you mentioned, there are people using it with no problems, 2) it has corrosion inhibitors in the mix, so that should prevent anything from happening. That is all I can really say..sorry
I have been giving your name out to people asking about tubing. I just use tubing from the hardware store that says, MADE FROM VINYL..not PVC, and I haven't had any problems.
rock on
Ya you really can't tell that it isn't clear tubing. Even right up close it looks completely solid.
For those curious about tubing, I am currently using Primoflex clear. It still looks perfectly white, and it has been about three weeks so far. No idea if it is clouding or not, but I sure can't tell the difference.
Looks yummy.

those French people....rock on..
http://www.watercooling.fr/boitier-g...agon/pv-73254/
Here are our new bottles.. interestingly enough, Olio Spec was our first re-seller, and they just happened to be the first to get the blue bottles.. We are now working on getting them screened instead of the Ice Dragon sticker -
http://twitpic.com/903uc1
I like them
rock on.
@lowfat
I'm a little over a month into my loop. I'm using the Primoflex PRO LRT Clear and it has no clouding.
The front of my Aquacomputer reservoir has no clouding either.
I love this stuff, it's like android blood.
I had mine running about 4-5 weeks and just drained it last night. The 3/8ID 5/8OD Primoflex I just turned brown. Fortunately that tubing is all on the backside of my motherboard tray. The 3/8ID 1/2OD stuff did not turn colour, but it did cloud up. Wasn't noticeable while it was filled though. I was able to brush clean the 3/8ID 1/2OD though. So now it looks brand new. Didn't try cleaning the brown tubing as I didn't notice it until I already started to fill the loop again.
As for the nickel blocks. No corrosion, but I had to take the GPU block apart to give it a good cleaning. It took a serious amount of elbow grease to get clean. Not sure what was the cause of this.
Still using the same coolant though.
Lowfat - let me know if your tube turns brown again. We have seen this before and have narrowed it down to plastacizers in the tube. We have ONLY seen this happen in tubes that are strictly VINYL.. we haven't seen in it in tubes that are PVC. We don't know if the poly vinyl makes a difference or not. Also, it only happens when exposed to UV lights. We've seen it in the sun. We do know that it doesn't affect the fluid or make the fluid brown. Also, I am not sure if the reaction with the plastacizer will be a finite reaction; meaning that once you run the fluid thru and it reacts with the plastacizer that all the plastacizer will be used up and then you can clean and re-use without any problems. But, we haven't done that. So, let me know if you get a chance.
Also, our 'pink' computer has been running for almost 3 years (that's right) without any maintenance will be taken apart next weekend. I am hoping to do a video of the CPU block from tear down to clean.
thanks everyone..
On a side note, my loop never sees direct sunlight.
the clouding issue is a phenomenon in fluid dynamics known as "Law of the Wall". If you were to magnify the inside surface of the tubing you would see a rough surface due to the manufacturing due to any abnormalities during the process of making the tubing. This rough surface would have tiny cracks/wedges etc that are larger than the nanoparticle itself. So, per Law of the Wall, the fluid velocity in direct contact with the wall is zero, therefore, this lets a nanoparticle get inside that wedge. That is why you are able to clean it off. It isn't staining but coating...its just one of those things.. glass tubing might help with that..:)
MurderBox built a custom rig with Ice Dragon using only stainless steel tubing.. that looked good.
anyone have any experience with this store?
http://apes.my/
thanks
any updates with your ice dragon coolant? are there signs of corrosion or other nasty stuffs on your blocks/fittings?
