Sorry to hear that. It's so funny that it happen to me also with my LV Blade. UPS driver decided out of all the package he received that day he had to pick mine to misroute. Normally I would get delivery to my place before noon pretty much all the time. Got off work at 5pm and still no package, online tracking still showing "out for delivery", called them at 7 ish and they say driver is still out delivering and could be up til 8pm before I might see this package. Okay fine, track it with ups.com @ 7:45pm and now it saying package is misrouted to a different address, I'm like what the F*** call them back and complained about my situation and this time they told me the station have been closed and at this point there's nothing they can do but to retrieve it back and attempt to deliver it the next day.
Seriously for me that stuff only happen when I deal with UPS no other carrier. I swear I will not use UPS again in the near future. Sorry for the long story thought you might want to hear this so you won't feel left out. Good luck with your package.
Has anyone tested the Blades in adjoining DIMM slots?
I really want to know, as i'd be getting 8 GB if i can ever actually buy these in Canada.
I'd prefer to get the better-cooled Blades, but if there will be issues with 4 DIMMs fitting, i'm fine with getting the Platinums.
Anyone?
I'm not asking to test 8 GB...just wondering if you can physically fit them side by side & in what mobo...
-n7- : when I get mine tomorrow I can find out for you.
nForce isn't able to push those sticks (PC2-9600) so high as X48, but I'm still taking them higher. At this moment I have 625MHz CL5 @ 1.9V... and want more :D
how tall are the blades compared to say...the platinums?
Well damn. Absolutely sure the Platinum is the same thing, just with a different heatspreader?
I might have to get some of these to see how the E8400 deals with it in the DFI. I've had the E8400 up to 4.6 Ghz on air...1.35v on an i45. Let's get some DFI action going on.
Might be a good idea to cancel the craigslist ad i put up for this E8400 :x
For USA customers OCZ stock just hit the EGG get them while you can.

These were the first batch available in the U.S.
Purchased from Amazon on 5/14.
This looks to be about it. Of course, as I said above, I'm still trying to figure out all the stuff on my new mobo. These sticks won't boot over 900 at cas4 either.

First run. One stick is in the freezer as we speak. :)
speaking of selling ddr3 as ddr2, how about "ddr2" 1333 stock, running 1500 @ 5-6-6 :slobber:
http://www.techpowerup.com/96001/OCZ...st_Memory.html
That pic shows DDR2 8500s.
Yea but im guessing those are just used to cover up whats behind, I dont think they would openly have the ICs visible.
What everyone has been waiting for:

They are Elpida

The thermal tape is very tacky and I ripped of 3 ICs. Oh well...this was for you guys.
Enjoy
BTW -n7- I put both sticks in slots 1 and 2 and they fit snug. I am on a Gigabyte EP45-UD3R board though. 8gigs should be fine
clo007,nice work.thanks for the pic.you the man:up:

Well I'm sure it was Tony's idea to put the tack on there. What a right POS you have become Tony. Oh nice to see your forums were doing so well everyone is just waiting for you to crap on them. Man all those years of hacking BIOS screwed your head up. Finally, you have made it corporate right before the crash thats gonna last 5 years and you will be laidoff or your small oc business will crash and I hope it does. Good riddance trash.
whoa, take it easy killer
since the blade 9600s are out (well...auto-notify on the egg), someone should test them out and see how far they push compared to the g.skill 9600s. i await the results.
coldflo-
i have been banned multiple times here for argueing with other members, starting threads in the wrong section:rolleyes: and had infractions handed to me like tic-tacs.sometimes deserved, sometimes not but....
Tony has helped us MULITPLE times with his insane crazy scheldue threw the years.his avater used to say"here to help"with a hand out and he did.he would even get back to morons like me with ram questions that got me threw things i could not figure out so i could go on gaming etc.point is the dude is OVOIUSLY getting burnt out from this buisness, his buisness, life in general.he def neds a vacation i think and does not get the thanks from ppl thats deserved.i myself feel bad for a guy who broke his b@lls to make sure questions were answered, products got out and product issues were solved.i dunno i think u were harsh on this man.he is the type of dude to ALWAYS help u out.he has the brain of 100 ppl as far as pc diagnostics go.u can do whatever u want but i am thankful for guys like him and mabye u could smoke a funny cig and chill out bro?u might be burnt out yourself man?
@clo007
"First run. One stick is in the freezer as we speak."
sorry to hear about the ics getting there skulls ripped off there body, lol.i did warn you tho.thanks for the info tho seriously.u saying u did it for us does mean something, ppl can post what ics they think they are etc.but we now know for a fact because of u.
the freezer thing dont work.the glue has a good bond to the ics and your making that bond 100x stronger when u freeze them.the glue becomes superglue!
when there hot/warm/roomtemp/or just plucked out of your pc is best.then the glue is tacky and they come right off basically.
try pulling scotch tape off paper frozen.wont happen.
then try it at room temp.or slightly warmed, come right off..the glue is melted.
my circular saw was taken with the pic for the rofl, effect.
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j1.../comingoff.jpg
there sitting in my closet and work purfect still, actually there amazing sticks..only reason i took my spreaders off is because the tape acts as heat barrier(not transfer) in my eyes and my fans work better hitting direct ics.
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j1...t/trashram.jpg
Coldflo you are the biggest dork I have ever seen...don't ever come to my forum
Hey Tony great product. got to 1152 5-5-5-15-28 @ v1.86 on Asus M4N82 Deluxe 980a. Thank you all for input.

Sweet picture, Raid! Looking forward to your results.
Just moved over to AM3 myself, but will definatly make sure to recommend these modules for DDR2 users on our HW forum. Awesome product Tony:up:
@RAID
Nice Dude!:up::up: Congrats!
Blade 9600 arrived this morning.
Quick tests:
1200MHz 5-5-5-15 @1,80v.

1250MHz 5-5-5-15 @1,86v.

Cyfer, try to set cl4 and try 1:1 ratio. Is it possible?
@ Cyfer
Nice pic, you tRD looks kind high though, shouldn´t you be able to get it down by one notch.
BTW what´s your bandwidth @ 500 ram @1200 CAS5?
Sorry guys, today I had to work, so those were the only tests I could do.
During the week end I will stress these sticks of ram as far as I can! :D
The only thing I can add at the moment, is that I need 1,82v to be perfectly stable @1200MHz.
http://www.pctunerup.com/up/results/...730_Linx02.jpg
Wow, these OCZ sticks are insane. Good results.
dang i cant belive this...now im on the fence what to do with my setup:rolleyes:i got these 8 gigs of crucial running REALLY good but sheesh this ocz stuff at 1200 at 1.8-1.9.....thats simply incredible:eek:
any diff between the platium and blade 9600 series?ics the same?same speed and timings looks like to me...dam thats some nice stuff :P
good work tony.u make gaming faster!
Overnight testing seems to confirm stability:
http://www.pctunerup.com/up/results/...1_Orthos01.jpg
Today more testing.
nice im in the market for a good 4gb kit (y)
1260MHz 5-5-5-15 @1,88v
http://www.pctunerup.com/up/results/...MHzSuperPI.jpg http://www.pctunerup.com/up/results/...MHzEverest.jpg
Do all sticks have a black PCB or just the european ones?
Cyfer, can you show some sort of stability like Linpack or SuperPi 32M?
Mine can do that too but it's unstable for real testing like the above mentioned. ;)
http://www.pctunerup.com/up/results/...MHzSuperPI.jpg http://www.pctunerup.com/up/results/...MHzEverest.jpg
I also tryed 1066MHz cl4 but with no luck for the moment.
I don't think ram max speed is influenced by cpu speed and at the moment here it's quite hot, so for the moment I will skip too extreme tests... ;)
http://www.pctunerup.com/up/results/...MHzEverest.jpg
Working right now on alpha timings. :D
I don't think to be Linpack stable @1260MHz.
Maybe I can close a SuperPI 32M, but I'm not sure. Cosider that I recived the sticks yesterday and I'm trying to test them in those moments in wich my wife and my daughter are not requiring my attention...
@Cyfer
You should be able to push for tRD 8 @ FSB 500 with 1200MHz, your MCH volt are rather low so it shouldn´t be a problem to increase that to be stable with tRD 8. An Everest pic of that should be very apprieciated. :)
With that setup you should run a P95 blend (heat shouldn´t be a issue) and during that time you can spend time with your wife and daughter. :D
I´m looking for some 2x2 for my Rampage Formula and those Blade PC-9600 should be the ones it seems. :yepp:
Everest @PL8.
http://www.pctunerup.com/up/results/...1200MHzPL8.jpg
Anyway I'm totally unstable. I tryed to push the vnb till 1,36v, but no luck...
Crazy stuff!! ;)
Wow! how much voltage did triple 6 take? I bet close to or even over 2V, no?
Why does your validation read
RAM : 4096 MB DDR2 Dual Channel
RAM Speed : 721.7 MHz (3:5) @ 5-5-5-15
Slot 1 : 2048MB (PC2-6400)
Slot 1 Manufacturer : OCZ
Slot 2 : 2048MB (PC2-6400)
Slot 2 Manufacturer : OCZ
While mine reads?
RAM : 4096 MB DDR2 Dual Channel
RAM Speed : 583.2 MHz (5:6) @ 5-5-5-13
Slot 1 : 2048MB (PC2-8900)
Slot 1 Manufacturer : OCZ
Slot 2 : 2048MB (PC2-8900)
Slot 2 Manufacturer : OCZ
I'm so sorry I wasn't able to post anything in the last 3 weeks, I wasn't even online, so much to catch up to... I'm just too busy right now! Again, sorry. :(
Thanks for posting results of the higher binned version! :)
Everest was so low because of a low FSB, tRFC has almost no influence on Everest scores, only minimal, and those sticks need high tRFC to reach high clockspeeds. This is not D9 mate! ;)
Sorry, I didn't do any high FSB tests, but maybe others will if they get the time.
:yepp:
I'm still not convinced that you need to give those sticks such a high VDIMM, reaching high clock speeds is more a question of BIOS tuning for 4GB and tweaking the timings.
Nice, 600MHz 1.8V... I wasn't able to do that up to now.
Yes, it's possible, already wrote that earlier! ;)
Thank you so much!! So my bet on Elpida was correct, though I thought they were using new ICs that can do 533MHz CL5 1.8V stock and not a new revision of 400MHz CL5 1.8V. Oh well, wasn't too far off...
All should have the black PCB as far as I know.
Are you sure you are really running the LV Blades, and not the regular version?
Besides that, which strap are you running? 400 strap?
Made a quick validation, mine show up like yours: click for validation
Don't know if the integrated memorycontroller is limiting my overclock but i can barely do DDR1250, it didn't finish SuperPi 1M.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6.../cachemem3.png
This is at 1.98Vdimm, i don't think more volts will do anything other than heating the sticks up.
I don't want to wreck these great sticks. (just yet :))
Very good result Eugene! Nice to see you do some further testing!
I'm back at it when I have the time.
Sorry, didn't see the pic and thought you were running the 8500s.
Would you mind to show a screen of the SPD ( in memset or Everest ). I would love to if there are any differences besides programmed speed.
But still, which strap are you running? I'm always suspicious when I see high RAM frequencies on 3:5 divider, since most run the 400 strap, on which the 3:5 divider is bugged and 2:3 in reality.
Don't ask me why, but today I'm getting these results @PL9...
http://www.pctunerup.com/up/results/...00MHzPL902.jpg http://www.pctunerup.com/up/results/...00MHzPL903.jpg http://www.pctunerup.com/up/results/...00MHzPL904.jpg
I'm not complaining, clearly, but it seem a little strange... :hm:
Oh well, I love these sticks, that's for sure! :hrhr:
Ridiculous.
I still cannot find a single Canadian e-tailer with any of the LV Blades or Platinums in stock other than TD, which shows it has the Blade 1066s, but for $105, i'd rather get the 1150/1200 kits.
It's driving me insane...no one has these.
i wouldnt even buy a thing from td mofos are too overpriced n service is crap
i'm goin nuts here i was promissed for thursday n now its for tuesday
99$ for lv 9600
i can ask for em to hold u a set or 2 ?
i was gonna get a set of the 8500 too but i was told the pcb is green i not takin no chance on a crappy set for 20$
i woulda paid xtra goin newegg but they only have them on US site
Expected Arrival Date: 2009-06-10
http://pccyber.com/?v=product&i=RAM-OCZ2B1200LV4GK
Sell you mine for $80:D
I hear ya. I'm not unhappy with my results. Easily as good as the Pi 1100s for $80 shipped. Maybe better if I can figure out this mobo......
Yeah i've been monitoring their site.
But i need it shipped (to Alberta), & when i did all but pay for an order, it added PST onto it
(no PST here)
Didn't seem like their was any shipping option...do they only do local sales usually?
I imagine i'd need to phone them.
I guess by now i figured surely NCIX/DirectCanada/newegg.ca would have them, but ffs, nope.
they got 1 place in montreal n 4 in ottawa
you dont gotta pay pst lol just gst
i woulda bought them from ncix if they had them n had it shipped xpress lol but...
i woulda bought it from newegg n paid gst n pst but then again
as soon as they get em in i be rushin to get mine:D just hope i dont get a speedin ticket
@ Don_Dan : you're right . i don't test these modules and my exprience was from D9 , thanks .
due to the nature of P45 and P35 boards 3:5 is buggy and is 2:3 :up:Quote:
Yes, 2.1V needed. Here's my highest C5 validation - 721MHz 5-5-5-15 2T

18 is # 1,thanks i didnt even notice it was at 1000.
1 year, 1000 post.i think maybe im a little post happy:D
Picked up a pair of the 1150's (pc2 9200) from the egg with the promo code since the 9600's were sold out...the IC's should still be the same and not too heavily binned yet I hope.
I'm getting a pair of 1150's for my birthday...I'm pretty excited.
My 1150s will be delivered on Thursday. I'll see how they compare to the 1066s. Probably just a slight adjustment in voltage.
As I said, Mine were the first available in the U.S. that I'm aware of. I think it's just luck of the draw on the lower binned stuff. They do have black PCBs though.
did you try lower voltrage n higher trfc
personaly i would be pissed as many pi1100 witll hit close to 1200
the biatch is you got the black pcb n got unlucky
as soon as ocz started binning them it was to be expected
and not surprising they had first batches with nice chips ;)
Got my pair of Blades PC8500LV in last thursday.
My 260GTX died a couple of days ago, and it was only today I was able to test these sticks.
After messing around a bit with the settings on the UD3P, it looks like a good start.
I used my old E8400 (Q807A...) as it would a bit easier to test than with a Q9650.
500*8, OCZ Blade PC8500LV @ 1200Mhz, Prime Large test :
http://www.abload.de/img/oczblade_pc8500lv_1200ohzm.jpg
lucky bear....
Very nice Jupiler! I'm unfamiliar with EasyTune, is it 1.96V or 1.82V dram?
"Power On" displays the settings used on boot up or when ET6 was started up and "Target" is the current settings being used. 1.82v in bios/et6 is probably really only 1.80 actual since these boards seem to under volt the ram 0.02 or atleast mine does.
Black pcb.
1200 mhz with 1.82v stable that's crazy.is there any difference between black or green pcb?in the ocz forums admin says there is no difference but i have black 2*2 1066 platinum and it's hit 1200 in the first try but not stable.a friend of mine have green platinum 2*2 1066 and he can't see 1200.i just wondering if black ones are 8 layer.
From what I understand the PCB's are identical but the black ones are just colored.
For those that hit 1200+ on there 8500 LV set. Can you pass at least 10 run of test# 5 of memtest+ at anything above 1160 and up? I can boot at 1200 but memtest test#5 stable is a different story.
yes that could be.maybe i know "how to oc" and my friend don't.i still believe there is someting different.maybe not pcb but chip maybe.boot 1200 mhz and stable 1200 is different thing i agree with that.blade series cool with that but i wanna see default 4-4-4-12 1066 mhz.maybe next model i hope.it's good to see that ddr2 still evolving.Quote:

incredible i gotta wait another week
i guess ocz doesnt consider canadians important lol
