seems to fix the cf htt clocking issue i have now 230 and 1840 on the ram
213htt was the max and nothing over 1640 when booting from bios
Where can we get this and does it unlock the 4th core?
bios was sent for testing and i dont have a 720 atm
That ashame t1 looks abit better!
fixed command rate now when set 2t it shows in windows cpuz
I found that out with F3i was limiting my mem speed! What the max mem speed you had with t1 bios!
bios still needs dram drivers weak mode setting in the bios mem page so we can set to weak
1880mhz checking stability
I guess the bios still needs tweaking then!

I'm tempted now!
Once RB-C3 will make it's way into retail I'm switching to AM3 and next Gigabyte board.
Has anyone got a link to the new t1 bios! Have been looking allday!
I am with you!
Which memory is the best for this board?
i think that's it for my 4 cores

why is my ram working 64bit mode, shouldnt be 128
128 ganged and 64bit unganged it can be changed in mem setting in bios! 64bit is meant to be better they say!
Hey everybody,
I have a problem with RAID0 and Windows Vista64 Ultimate this motherboard with the SB750.
I have 2x320Gb Samsung F1, but when installed Windows Vista64 does not load the files in the folder SB750V/LH64A
I have to load the x86 version, then it detects and installs the Raid, but after installing windows the BSOD error.
Someone had this problem?
Excuse the bad English, but I am Portuguese.
Thanks
You need to load Vista 64 SP1 with the native Windows drivers, then update the system with these drivers - http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownloa...3&lang=English
You are loading the wrong drivers off the CD, the x86 drivers are for the 32-bit operating systems.
Download the Drivers, and unpack.
The Drivers to view this directory are
C:\ATI\Support\9_3_vista32-64_raid\Packages\Drivers\SBDrv\SB7xx\RAID\LH64A
But when loaded by Pen USB Windows Vista64 says that is not compatible ...:(
If X86 version gives, but then gives BSOD after finishing the installation
I need help...
Works fine with windows 7 64 using usb pen by taking raid drivers from disk under SB750V and then LH64A if you cant get vista 64 to work!
To me the LH64A with Vista64 Ultimate not working I do not know why.
If you choose LH64A not load the drivers but if you click the folder already gives LH, and detects the RAID and I can install windows, but after installing, when you restart the first time gives BSOD ...
Someone knows what could be?
Is your installation source (DVD-RW) ATA or SATA...?
Sata
Ok, now I take it you DVD-RW is connected to one of the white SATA ports..?
Look at the screenshot above, is that the settings you use..?
Ok .. thanks for the config in the bios, I try ...
If not I will test Windows 7 X64 ...
If your testing windows 7 64 i recommend using version 7057 seems alot faster than the rest!
Yes, I tested the version RC1.Build.7057.x64...
I got 7048 right now...can upgrade to 7057 or do I need to reinstall everything?
I think you're gonna have to reinstall...
Reinstall the best option mate!
Argh that sucks...I hate reinstalling all over again....good thing Ihvent dont much with W7 anyway.
BTW guys two questions.
#1 Does OCing the HT Link does anything for performance?
#2 What is OCing the IMC (Integrated memory controller)? I saw a "guide" for Phenom overclocking and it claims that second to increasing the multiplier, ocing the IMC gives the biggest boost in performance.
Now fix the problem of windows with Win7 x64 has to install ...
Now I have a 3600Mhz CPU to 1.504V
My CPU Stepping is : "CACVC AC 0904EPMW"
Not much voltage?
Someone i can put the bios setup at the voltages?

Validate:
Tks...
what N/B speed are you running at! And Voltage mate!
Speed is 2.4 NB
I put in bios +0.0725 V on NB
Check picture:

i have problem with et6, please help, also energy saver saying that the bioss version doesnt support energy saver, using F3B

My Config in Bios...
http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/9862/image047p.jpg
Is something wrong?
What changed?
Another thing is that I can increase the CPU Host Clock Control, it freezes.
Only in the multiplier ...
Someone a few tips ...
Thanks
Try upping the mem Volts to say 1.8V and upping the cpu nb vid control to say 0.250V u should be able to get ur nb speed up to 2.8 then!
Is not stable, when i run Prime95 the PC restarts ...
What could it be?
did you check your memory, also what are your temps like?
Just some info from my findings so far with the 720BE & UD5P...
Been trying for days to sort mine out, with virtually no success in OC'ing at all...
Initially, the board came with fb BIOS, and no matter what i tried over the stock 2.8Ghz, i would run into some problems when the system was busy or running a heavy application (No OC to memory, NB, etc) Then flashed to f3b, upped the volts a bit and tried unlocking the 4th core, which all resulted in Vista x64 not booting, and being none-repairable. Wiped the drive AGAIN and flashed to F3i, and all was fine @ stock, but as soon as i tried to OC, it would crash out time and time again, resulting in yet ANOTHER none-bootable Vista... Repeat the above with F4 Bios... As you can imagine, I was REALLY pulling my hair out.
Yesterday i flashed to f4g and wiped the hard drive.
Set the memory to 1600MHz 9-9-9-24 / 1.8v as specified got the USB drive out and booted into Memtest - which would fail after around 20 mins.
Dropped it to 1333MHz and I've ran a couple of hours without problems, so for some reason, my memory won't run at the quoted 1600Mhz :( Any Ideas?
Then tried Windows 7 install, and while the system was installing it, i got allot of time where the system would seem to hang, or do nothing for 5 minutes, not even the HDD light would blink, and all of a sudden, the DVD drive would fire up and off we go. Any ideas?
Win7 Installed now, and takes less than 15 seconds to boot to desktop from leaving POST.
Tried x15 Multi @ stock volts and ran Prime (Blend) for a couple of hours, 3DM06 and further Memtests without problems so far....
Was doing all this till around 4am this morning, and today, i'm knackered, LOL.
Must have been a dodgy Vista Disc or something, as (touch wood) i seem to be having more success with Win7.
Your comments, views and suggestions are more than welcome. Chew* has been a star with the help, but i hate to keep pestering the same person all the time.
Deano
can u post picture of your mem timings in the bios
My memories are 2X2 GB Transcend DDR3 1333 MHz ..
The 1600Mhz 8-8-8-24 1T 1.6V not make mistakes, I think the problem is the CPU, maybe not a good batch, or is the bios ...
What Bios using?
Do not know what will ... any idea?
Bro20000: I'm using 2x2Gb Corsair 1600Mhz (9-9-9-24 / 1.8v) Which is specified to work by Corsair....
MSIMax: Not at home to get a picture, but will get one ASAP...

I had a similar problem with Vista 64 going down when I unlocked the 4th core but after a reinstall I can boot to Vista 64, W7 or XP with no issues and running a 1600MHZ 7-7-7-21-29 1T.
Hope you find a solution.
Has anyone had there memory over 1680Mhz with this board in bios! Seems to be my limit on this board! I know my sticks can do 2100Mhz on intel boards thou!
Click - Info in the Specs
Also found the same info elsewhere, but cannot find it now, lol.
Ooops, sorry, just realised that spec request wasn't for me, lol :)
Bank Swizzle Mode, DQS Training control ....whats the scope on those two?
From my research, Bank Swizzle should increase the bandwidth when enabled ( I didnt notice anything) and DQS control when enabled should help to stabilize when pushing RAM too hard.
Ok, What is the maximum voltage use 24/7 and the temperature?
What's the recommended Bios for this board F4 or F3l?
I use F3l... :)
f4g ;)
Had say F3i Lastest and offical by Gigabyte!
I have 4GB(2x2GB) of Patriot Viper rated to run at 1600mhz, 7-7-7-20 with 1.9v. These modules are supposed to be compatible with UD5P according to Gigabyte, yet they cannot run at rated speed and timing.
I've tried 4 bioses that have been available at Gigabyte site, but none of them worked with these modules.
Any ideas?
Am in the same boat mate! I guess with newer bios coming out they will fix the issues!
I am back to F4d bios. Tried them all. The Patriot 34G1600LLK I'm using has occasional issues at 7-7-7-20/1.9v It will run games but fails OCCT after 7-15 minutes. Called Patriot and they said just set the 7-7-7-20 and leave the rest timings alone. SPD is "supposed" to be 7-7-7-20-36-2T but runs stable during OCCT at 7-7-7-20-26-2T. So this is what's running now-3.4Ghz (200 x 17) +0.050v
Edit: I can game all night on settings that wouldn't last 5 minutes of OCCT.
Has anyone managed to get the new T1 Beta Bios
the new pot with DIce performs good

Yeah I call that VERY good. :-)
Any news on the bios?
Guys, is there any point to OCing the HT link? I dont notice anything between 2000 and 2600...at least not on CPU or memories tests. With the NB Ocing the difference is obvious.
try with 2 4870x2 start @ 1600 onwards youll see the gain but you wont notice no performance difference if your setup is not starved for bandwidth at any giving speed
also im trying to see if they can crank out a very mem friendly bios:D
So if my GTX280 needs more bandwitdh then thats where I will see the difference...I see. Well, its cool to have it so high anyway. :-)
I'm having problem with my UD5P holding on to the overclocked setting when I cold boot. Everytime I cold boot my system it reports that my overclocked bios setting is not stable even though the system passes both 2 hours of OCCT and 3 hours of Prime95 under Vista64. I have F3b and set FSB to 250mhz. What am I doing wrong?
http://img140.imageshack.us/img140/8798/screenz.jpg
Its same for me mate i issue i guess that needs to be fixxed!
I get that only when OCing the NB. I just hit delete and save and exit. The setting hold. I have just decided to live with it till I here of a fix. Not a big deal for me, My systems runs lamost 24/7.
Anynews on the new bios!
Does anybody have freeze up proplems when Cpu-Z, AOD or Everest is loading? My system would freeze randomly and only way I can get out of it is to push reset button. I can run OCCT or Prime95 for several hours with no problem.
Great just the wait then! Just looking for a bios that gives me better mem speed than 1680Mhz which is the current max i can get at the minute!
I have 2x2 gigs of 1333Mhz ram and i pushed my 720 with 4th core unlocked up to 3.7Ghz
Can we please have an update on this? ANYONE would think the forums have been closed or something! :D :D
Any news on bios F5D!
Good news for people using 4 core mod on the 730x3! I managed to get the 4 core working on the new F3L bios and works great!
http://www.ukimagehost.com/uploads/eed5d5b6db.bmp
OMG!
How did you do it? Just set ACC to auto or anything but disabled?
Cant wait to get home...sweet!
PS This is a safe bios right? I dont remember what I read about a bios giving wrong voltage or something.
I managed to unlock the fourth core as well with the F3L but, it only recognized the fourth core on the first boot. When I booted again, the system went crazy and gave me a lot of problems. I tried almost evey ACC option but It wouldnt go back to 4 cores again, for that reason I had to flash back to F3B.
Bro2000, I hope yours is stable and PS let us know how you did it.
I updated bios from F3b to F3L and put acc on auto just like normal! Its the best bios to date everything run really smooth! I just hope it doesnt go weird like suphiceto bios!
Well, I am going to give it a try and report back asap.
Gotta afew problems restarted and come up with cpu-z error and everest! And have lost my 4th Core!
Bummer...I am aborting my test.
Yeah, if you flash and dont clear cmos and do all the safety stuff the 4th core will show but it will be gone after a cold start...it happened to me with previous bios updates.
Sorry for all the hype am gutted now! Have been intouch with gigabyte and a new bios is coming out in afew days time! I asked about the 4th core being enabled with lastest bios and word is there undecided yet! Looks like back to F3B for time being! Am hoping OCUK has 955 in tomorrow!
I know it is AMDs request to not create a bios that fixes ACC but I hope they would reilize that these chips are capable to run 4 cores stable and the owners of these chips are going to try to run them with 4th core abled as long as it takes. One way or another, one motherboard brand would create a bios and this would increase their business and then the others would have to create a bios that fixes it. They have to reilize that by creating a bios that fixes these issue is going to create more demand for their product.
I was going to get a 955be also, but from what I have seen, It is not really going to be performance gain for me. It looks like they are stable around 3.8ghz on air and that is only .2 ghz from my current clock. +100$ and .2-.4ghz performance gain is not even going to give me +3-5fps on my games. Unless it benches very well, I dont think I will be interested in it for now. Or I will just wait untill the prices are around 200$
