I had to put the petal down if I was going to catch Synth at 1mil. I let him get too far ahead. I have an 8800GTX, three 9800GTXes, a GTX260, and a 9800GX2 going right now but all the card except the 8800GTX are going to have to take a break here soon. Those systems are needed for other stuff. They were idle for a little while so I put them to some good use. :up:

Ebuyer couldn't replace my 8800GT so I got it replaced by a 9800GT instead :D Thats more core MHz and on a 55nm process - more room to OC!
Tomorrow you get pics of the farm, monday you get the 9800GT to add to the arsenal! I'm keeping stum about the parts tomorrow but I'm hoping for 20k+ PPD from those alone, then add 5000/5500PPD for the 9800GT.

This new core is so strange. My ppd for all my cards is at 973. LOL. I better get straight before the contest.
that it is... one of my 8800gt's did a weird low ppd dance on the new core today, synth. I checked and it was at like 2000ppd, and thought "that's weird, but it'll pick back up". an hr later, no change. so I stopped and restarted the client, still no change.. finally I rebooted and it went back to 5500ppd. strange behavior indeed, the old core never did junk like that. it's only happened once so far out of 4 cards though. I wonder what would make it go from 5500 to 2000. even my media center pc only drops like 800ppd (5300 to 4500) when it's recording.
I too have experienced this pecularity, but only on 1 rig. It has happened 3X but only on 1 rig??? :confused:

I'm not much help here, Anarki.. but one of the guys on my orig folding team was setting up multi gpu foplders and had the same issue about a month ago... and not sure what he did, but iirc he said only the first card was actually using the nvidia driver, so he had to go force the rest in device mgr or something. it's a little foggy, but I remember he had that same message and finally got it working after some tinkering.

Hmmmm got it running ok on one GPU.
I have read all the guides and have this irritating problem - when I load up the other clients (GPU1, 2 + 3) it downloads the work but craps out with an error message saying "UNSTABLE MACHINE"
Any ideas at all on how to fix this?
As of last night my gx2 is running 737core/1842shader/1043mem :)
The new client is harder on overclocked cards. Those cards are binned on 3D performance. I don't think video card manufacturers have FAH in mind when they bin cards. :ROTF:
You may have to back the clocks down a bit to get it to run stable.

I restarted Vista and now I get a no boot with more than one card inserted :confused:

I have already testedthis X2 CPU and it can do 3GHz easy so I'll add the SMP client before the start of the competition.

the HX520 has 40A on the 12V rail. He's probably near its limits but it isn't a slouch PSU. Don't try this on your run-of-the-mill bundled 500W unit though ;)
HX520 is an awesome PSU. It is the only power supply I know of in that wattage range that can handle ANY current single card. That power supply is what most companies would rate as a 750W.
