I have a quick question regarding the F3 5000+ chips. Are these built specifically with the smaller cache or do they simply have cache disabled? I can't see any results in this thread but does anyone have any experience with them? I have my eye on what I think is a ACBVF 0650UPMW with a batch number of 0055. What could I reasonably expect out of a chip like this at ~1.3V?
If it is an F3, I would believe you could hit 2,8 / 3 GHz, maybe even more, but there is no guarantees. About the cache question, I really don't know...
Saw the database updated. The last 4 letters on my CPU is VPMW, so the full stepping is;
X2 3800+ CCBVF 0706 VPMW
Below is my 24/7 setting. Biostar 7050-M2 with on-board video.

A great HTPC setup (up to 720p, though unfortunately 1080p would require a discrete GPU)
Ok my 2 month old new 6000+ CC8F-0720XPMW did 3.55@1,58vcore all day with Air or 3.6 on water@22ambiant room temp . So i went on the hunt for another new one and have found several NEW CCB8F-0728GPMW in SantaClara Microcenter! there are a few 0726XXX ones as well and they even have new bathces for 5600+.Sorry i forgot to right the 5600#down !Im in process of redoing my water loop and changing the fluid ,then ill see what my NEW one will do . I shall keep you all informed. This is the highest stepping i have ever found on 6000+ ,i believe its higher Batch than the Kick A$$6400+ tested above! Im lil new to the batch number game but ive been cool picking chips so far....
Note :if you call Microcenter they will read the batch # overphone for ya too!
I will be keeping the IHS on this one and will be shaving it down to 1/64th of an inch for core support .Also there is only a 1c differance between shaved IHS and No IHS on my ApogeeGT. Then i can use a Bow method on it with out crushing Core. My old 6000+ is bare but can only be used with a flat WaterBlock :yepp:
Curious ocing wise, for stability... i usually run 250x13 @ 1.375V with ht link 5x250 (1250) all works smoothy... After hours of prime 95 with dual threads i get 50C load on both cores... this is with a 8800gtx in loop on a zalman res!
Temps wise i think before OC my cpu would get 49C so only added 1C temps wise.... Amd max cpu temp is?
My ram @ 800 setting give me pure 1000MHZ ram.. my ram is rated @ 1066mhz mind so i thought for 24/7 use could get the cpu fsb to make ram 1066mhz i think its around 260 or something.
Max is around 60c from AMD for 6000+ 125watters and 65-70c for 5600+ and below 89watters:up:
Even around 55c-58c is good overall for high OC and High Vcore ,do set a Oc Temp limit and dont push it past the limit too many times if you want Cpu survival:yepp: I say too many times because this is Extreme and Extreme has no limits :up:You are safely below the AMD Max, no worries bro:yepp:
my 5200 loads 45C at 3180@1.39Vcore. amb is around 25C, dont have thermometer in room...
i have to redo my wc loop, i have 8600GT+NB+5200+ on tripple rad...
woll make that rad cpu only. and second for gpu+nb
im stable at 3300@1.55Vcore, but temps seem hight to me (55C) if i turn fans to full, i can go to 3.3@1.52V so it looks like im temp limited here
finally done it.
core speed 3.405.1
multi *15
bus 227.0
ht 908.0
volt 1.488v
how can i show cpu-z val on hear

6000+ @ 3578mhz (255x14) with 1.47 Vcore : HTT @ 2554mhz (255mhz x 5 x 2) : DDR2-900 @ 1022mhz (800mhz divider) 5,5,5,13,2t - All air cooled :)
Okay seems something is holding me back as i can use stock volts all way upto 3450mhz but over that around 3.5ghz sudenly even upping from 1.35 to 1.6 no changes... still wont stable in windows.. this is limit of the CPU or ive hit a wall if so how big 100mhz 200? :(
But still im happy with:
http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=237569
Thats with Bios v1.565 (Max mobo allows)... actuall Vcore is 1.6V mind...
There is a 0.2V offset i could use but wouldnt wana do more then 1.6v otherwise might perm damage CPU
what are your temps like on the two cores?
Mine vary enormously :( Not good sign for OC
I've checked the seating of the HSF..no probs there.
The X2-3800 I had a while back ran like this....and clocked badly (2550mhz MAX under WC at 9c idle:eek: )
The X2-3600 I replaced it with went to 3ghz on stock HSF and 1.52v but the cores were like 3c-4c difference all the time.
This X2-6000 runs upto 3670mhz so far albeit a tad unstable (completes Pi 2M and little more) ....core 0 is fine it's core 1 that bails. I'd like to have seen where it might top out with equal temps.
Temps wise on both cores, 30/30C idle... upto 45C load
This is on a Zalman Res :D
Your core temp differences seem very odd?, corrupted ur chip allready or voltage spread unevenly who knows
Im running 24/7 usage:
3250@ 1.4V with Mem 1000Mhz (5-5-5-15).. and mobo 1250FSB.. gives supurb stablity and to be honest while gamming i dont think id notice another 250mhz on core would also mean mem divider lowered resulting in lower ram:(
Try uping your CPU to NB volts.......This makes Cpu lil more stable above 3.3Ghz and set your memory timing (TRC) to say around 24 ,,this helps the memory controler when using tight timing... The X2memory controler likes higher TRC ,at least on my Deluxe it does with Patriot 6400LLK running @1000+mhz :yepp:
I have a 5200 on the way: CCB8F 0721TPMW
Will post results as soon as I have the chip.
It will be air cooling with a Scythe Ninja at the moment. I may switch to a Thermalright cooler at some stage soon though, for the better mounting mechanism and the possibility of removing the IHS.
If I can get near your ~3200Mhz for daily running then I will be happy? What cooler are you using and what temps does the chip run at?
im using custom (read cheap) water cooling on cpu+gpu+nb.
load is 47C right now
this chip goes to 3.4Ghz at 1.4V but is not stable, need 1.55V to be stable :(
but hey, ~3.2 is really good.
in comaprision to 3Ghz brisbane i had, this thing flies...
sad that theese are soldered to ihs. it least i think....
i've seen some destroyed X2 on another forum. All was "Copyright AMD 2006 R" and it was 5200+ non EE version and FX-62
there was a tumor that all that is (C) 2006 is soldered, but my brisbane (C)2006 wasnt. so i really dont know for sure, but better be carefull.
mine is 24/7 stable a
3172@1.39V
3211@1.42V
3300@1.55V
Hey mad man, whats your watercooling setup comprise of?
Whats full load temps i.e with prime or dual super pi??
Ive fixed my instabilty problems got my CPU-NB mobo volts @ 1.4 and rock soild @ 1250FSB!! maby this is what was holding me back from only getting to a crappy 3525mhz @ 1.6Vcore on cpu??
My load temps 45C with prime 95 dual threads 1hour in.. mobo seems cool to the touch with good airflow.. reads 38C whateva that reading is lol
And lastly when can we get hold of 6000x2 89W editions??... or will be able to get phenom sooner??
Apogee (non gt)+mcw30+mcw60+actiontech tripple rad(little bit smaller than mcr320 but higher density fins, sicce micra pump. according to flow estimator ~1.15GPM
but i have too little time on my hands, i have to redo my case and make this a cpu only loop +separe loop for gpu.
Orthos cpu test+real time hdr i get 47C (46/45 for core 1/2) on cpu, temp probe near rad intake reads 28C. idle is 35C
and i have to lap the cpu, omfg, too much to do...
i hope that with lover temps, i will get higher with same volts. I have my cpu loaded for whole day, so i dont want to run 1.55V all the time. dont want to pay for that power...
here is smth i wanna to avoid...
http://forums.extremeoverclocking.co...&postcount=360
that was 5200+ 89W
do you guis know if this F3 are soldered?
i puzzling with idea of removin, i removed 6ihs's but this one is the best core i have now, dont wanna to ruin it.
DONT DO IT ... removing IHS that is... performence with heat loss wont be that much couple of degress if that?.. at risk of killing your cpu completly.. max i think you can do is lap the base of your CPU block and lap the CPU ... but then when you resell your CPU at a later date how they gona know it really is a 6000x2??...
Seems like my zalman res is doing nice atm... 45/43 on both cores about 2 hours into prime 95 with dual threads!... ZALMAN RES = :yepp: !
Just had to make trc 22-25 to get system fully stable @ 3250... so many things not just CPU to consider
I have taken out GPU yesterday to be sent back as it was faulty... i dont expect temps to change much..
Idle 35C... Load 45C
With gpu Idle 35C Load 50C or there abouts
Gotta wait two weeks before can get card back in loop and play some games, currently using a 9200SE Ati pci card!!... just to test card as faulty and not my system seems was just card..
Does trc on ram or whateva going from 22-25 make much difference performence wise??... if not they why dont we all do it or we do just i dont ? :ROTF:
It all depends on what memory you are using ...Middle class or performance meory can benifit from this becuase it allows you to use tigher latency timing at agiven speed...Higher clocks you just loosen the TRC and tighten the memory a hare ..or keep timing the same except for TRC...Example below
5600=3.3ghz with patriot DDR26400elk runs @5-5-5-12 2Tstock performance 4-4-4-12 2T@2.2v......Now at 3.3ghz it was barely stable @4-4-4-6 2Twith Trc@21,,,,by upping it two notches  to 23 it runs with out any errors @same Pi score !
http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u...erra/ASUS3.jpg
The very same memory also runs @ 432=864mhz @4-4-4-6 2T@ 3.48ghz with TRC 23 with no performance loss , but allows the tighter than stock timing ,,,,this memory is rated for 4-4-4-8 2T@533MHZ not 4-4-4-6@1000mhz big differance if ya ask me..So in this screen 5-5-5-12 2t is as low as it can go with TRC set to 21 stock....But 2 23- 25 i can run 4-4-4-6 2T but @432=864mhz ,and yes this is a multiplyer issue with m2n32's ive noticed...The and X2 require more Vcore to keep stable with tight timings!
http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u...erra/trc23.jpg
http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u...4pi3.45ghz.jpg
Actually, if you take a closer look at the picture you posted, you'll se that it isn't soldered, but it's glued. Quintero tried removing the IHS of his F3 X2 5600+, it was glued, and it died.
He tried the "Intel" way of heating the IHS/core to get the IHS off (like they do when the IHS is soldered on)
@gOtVoltage: I'm not so sure that your trc theory applies for all memory on the F3's, as I've been running 4 4 4 7 trc 11 @1000Mhz with my pc6400 Ballistix @2.1v with no stability issues, (as of now I'm running 4*1gb at 4 4 4 7 11@850MHz @2,0v due to multiplier issues)
Arnt Balistics D9 chips , arnt they designed to run low TRC and timing? ,,,I was mainly refering to buget or mid line chips that dont clock that high with low TRC not the Top line ones:D ....Very Good point about the memory controler ...The X2's need help in that department , unless your on chilled water the heat dosnt seem to affect the controler as much with higher Vcore....At least thats what ive seen ... i really like to get around the controler thing ,almost grabed some 10100 but afraid i have same problem with this board and the controler with high memory above 1000mhz..,Still kinda getting use to this board ....the numerouse memory settings will make you crazy if you already arnt ..:yepp:
Hey when i first got my board it had 903bios which gave me simalar issues,It wouldnt even let me flash it to new bios or change mutis UNTIL i gently took the FLASH PROM OUT AND RESEATED IT,, Check you Bios Prom make shure its seated ...If your board arrived UPS who knows ive seen those things out of the prom clasp from shipping before:yepp: Now im on 1201 bios and seem pretty stable...Besides using meduim grade memory 900mhz is just fine for about anything when your Cpu is @3.46ghz
All this TRC stuff, wana get this cleared up abit... to have lower TRC stable is depends on your mobo mem controller only or mem quality is a factor??
My memory id think to be premium:
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...odid=MY-082-OC
I went from 12x250 to 13x250 last nite... and didnt last very long in prime... then i upped at same time CPU from 1.4 stock to 1.45V and mem 2.1 to 2.15... should i of done both coz now wont know if was mem or cpu holding back
Aha allmost forgot regarding memory what speed is my memory at atm??
13x250 (3250)
Mem divider @ 800MHZ (highest option)
Nvmonitor says 1000mhz
CPUz says 464x(2)
When running Memtest in dos says 541x(2)
WTF??? so which is it??...
the 12 multi means total cpu / 6 so would mean 3000 = 500 = 1000
But 13 multi makes divier 6 or 7??.... so could be 541 or 464... but which ... seems nvmonitor is completely wrong then :ROTF:
Shed any light? :(

you should be right @929mhz with a /7 controler @13x250....Download CPU-Z and check your timing with it ....
Note: the X2 memory controler likes Vcore above 1.45 when going over 3.3Ghz , it was most likely the CPU Vcore wasnt raised enuff the first time .Make shure your Idle and Load temps are good...30c-36c @idle is decent for up to 1.53Vcore . Good air/water set up a must....Take it slow..
MADMANDont remove the IHS ,If you do anything Give it a normal Lapping or GO EXTREME Sand LAP it with 200grit wet/dry sandpaper to 1 1/2mm or 2/64 of an inch, "its thickness will then be a hair thinner then the board it sits on" ,Dont forget to finish it with 600 and 1200 and 2000 for final finish ...this will cut the temps down by 8c to 10c easy no Lie.
I lapped my First 6000+ IHS to 2/64th of an inch , and Temps stayed @ 23c Idle and 44C load with a thermalright 120 @ 22c Ambiant ..The chip im running right now @ 3.47ghz 6000+ is @ 1.58vcore and 28c as im typing with water after one more week i will super lap it. For these chips i will no longer remove IHS after ruining a 5600+ and seeing no change in temp between thin IHS and No IHS on my other 6000+...One Day ill post a run down with pics of Modded IHS and 6000+ Bare neked :yepp: Id rather Sand it thin than remove for now on. My Old 6000+ has chipped corner but still runs... this happened after removing waterblock for like 15th time going for better cooling .
Here are two Screens of same 6000+' on same water set up...1st is with no IHS @3.45ghz 1.56vcore...Ambiant room 22c..
http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u...a/48hrsAs5.jpg
2nd is @ 3.45ghz with 1.58vcore , I bummped the Vcore up a notch and IHS ON Ambiant room 22c.....I will be modding Another 6000+ soon to severe IHS thinness:eek:
http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u...22cambiant.jpg
This is why i am leaving IHS on and lapping it very ,very,Extreme very thin, Verse unlidding it...
Hey Folks,
I am finally back from the long weekend and had time to start benching this 6400 Black Edition again. So first assualt is on Spi1mb.
Here is my results: 21.5s @ 3.9Ghz (Fastest X2 SPi 1MB)
http://www.ironmods.com/ForumImages/...0_AM2_6400.jpg
This is still with a dirty XP Install. Going to try to do a fresh install of the OS later today to see if I can shave a little more time off.
The current AMD WR is like 21.21 w/ a FX57@4Ghz. So I need to cut .3 to get the over AMD WR on Spi 1mb on HWBot.
Any help or suggestions would greatly be appreciated.
SAD
 :D maybe if you tighten up the sub timings more, couldnt hurt:up:
Or get better memory sticks. I'm not saying that those are bad, but D9GMH certainly would be better! :)
BTW awesome SPi1M time and awesome overclock!!
Congratz SuAsDu!
Hey.. thanks for the congrats :)
Ok.. are there any ram right now that can do 500Mhz Cas 3? Please let me know :D
I thought Cas 4 at almost 500 was good.. but maybe I can do better :D I tried dropping the Ras to Cas and Ras Precharge to 3, but it won't even run at 480Mhz.
The hard part is that with the DFI, 800Mhz is the biggest divider. They do not have a 1033.
I am actually going to try to drop my Multi, and see if I can push teh ram even faster.
Hopefully that will help shave a little more time off :D
SAD
SuAsDuwhats the lowest TRC you can run with 4-4-4-6 ? I finally did some tweaking and have mine down from TRC23 to TRC18@4-4-4-6 ,i will be trying for TRC7- or TRC9 , the M2n32DelUxe is kinda sensitive to my memory,Lol . Also my SP! is only 24@3.45ghz 1.58vcore,
Your X2 6400= Pure Pricelessness @3.9ghz and 21 SPi Keep cranking .
Are you on chilled Water? Im using water and hopefully want to get at least 3.6ghz stable with out chilling it...My stepping isCCB8F-0728GPMW I just barely started cranking on the thing...:D
gOtVoltage -
THanks man :)
As for TRC, the lowest I can select in Bios is 11 :( I am going to see if I can drop the TRAS a bit lower. There was no instability in the ram at all at those speeds and timing.
I just download Memset to see if I can further tweak the sub timing.
The funniest thing is that I can run 2.36v to the Ram.. but anythign over, and it just doesn't even post. I tried from 2.39 to 2.45, and no boot. This is SOO strange.
As for cooling, I am currently running a single stage phase change.
The chip does bug, but I am able to manage it. :D
SAD
Awesome results SAD! I'm sure you're gonna take home the sp1m AMD record.
Drop your multiplier and push your ram harder. What board are you running it on?
Try dropping the ddr2 termination voltage, and set vdimm to 2.45. Post a screen of systool/memset. I've found out that on the crosshair board (at least) bios 0702 its for the best running most of the subtimings on auto, but for a few ones: trc, async latency, tref and a couple others. Gives the most bandwidht in memtest 3.3 by far.
Congrats buddy........monster cpu you got yourself there, and a very nice OC :)
Perhaps like you say, try droppin' a multi and pushin the memory further....with a little more vdimm. If no joy there, loosen your timings and try for max frequency on your memory....might just make the difference.
There's always the "Close explorer" or "safe-mode" methods aswell for that extra fraction of a second
Hey guys.
I will try those ram tweaks and suggestions later this evening. I am going to run memset tonight, but here are teh specs from my systool. Let me know if you see anything obvious I can change for better performance.
As for my mother board, I am using the DFI UT NF590. It is a pretty sweet board :D
sorry for the size...
http://www.ironmods.com/ForumImages/...ON_ramhelp.jpg
COngtrats SuASdu, I was starting to wonder where you'd disapeared to!
I'm scheduled to get this chiller running this w/e so i'll see how I go :D, That's great though, another 100mhz to go and you'll have that SPi WR.. It has to happen!
;)
Have you tried for a max suicide shot again since your latest tweaks?
Hey mAJORD,
Thanks for the congrats. As for max Suicide shot.. it hasn't changed. Still rebooting just beyond 4 Ghz.. but I was able to drop the vCore a bit :D
Trust me.. I am trying VERY hard to get the SPi WR.. I am going to do a fresh OS Install tonight and see how things goes. Didn't know trying to cut .3 second could be such a PITA :P
Stay tuned till tomorrow, and lets see what I can pull off :D
Oh.. anyone have advice on my subtiming.. please advise :D
SAD
SuAsDu,
I think your going to have to set 14 x 281, if your ram can do 563. I can do 590+, but I have the 8500 SLI ram.
On my Crosshair I found that setting idle cycle limit to 128 in the BIOS and all drive strengths to the min helped get a lot more MHz. You may have to increase the max async. lat. a step or two.
Hope this helps.
Good Luck :)
Flasker,
Thanks for the tips.
From what I recalled, I know I can hit 270Mhz.. I didn't drop my multi lower to see what the wall is. I just did this to verify that the cold bug wasn'it limiting my OC :D
I will def give the idle cylie limit and increase max async to see what type of improvements i can get.
Can't wait to bench more tonight :P
SAD
Lowering your drive strengths will definitly give you higer frequencies. Set your twr to 6 or even 7 and up your tref to 7,8 when aiming for higher freq.
Good luck!
SuAsDu omg your insane.. keep pushing. any chance to run other benches?
Congratz, your da man ;)
btw, i will give that drive strengths tweak a shot today
Quick update on my 65w 5200. It's currently at 3120Mhz at 1.375v in the bios, although CPUZ shows 1.4v with a small v droop most of the time. RAM is at 312Mhz 4-4-4-12-24. At these settings I've run Orthos blend for an hour, with max temps hitting ~60 degrees, although this is in quiet mode. With the exhaust fan running faster, temps drop 4 degrees or so.
I know 1.4v is stock for the 6000 chips but I was hoping I'd be able to use less voltage to hit my goal of 3.2Ghz.
/Edit/ I can run both Orthos blend and CPU test for 1 hour with no errors or signs of instability but SuperPi craps out after a few minutes? Does this happen to anyone else? What part of my setup is the weakness?/Edit/
First tests for my F3 5200+ CCB8F 0719 XPMW on an asus m2n-sli del, stock cooler:
bios vcore 1.3v -> prime stable @ 3Ghz, finished 1M spi @3.1Ghz.
I'll keep u updated
My chiller lives!!
I'm chasing you now SAd.. :D Just did a 21.8 1M pi @ 3.83ghz Which seems right in line with your IPC with similar ram timings. I think we're really at our limit here as far as pushing the mem controller @ these clocks goes.
I'm currently confirming a few concerns about my chiller before I take it to -10(from about +2c atm) or so, then I'll up the juice and clocks
Wish me luck!
now there's a coincidence :)
Too warm at night for air here so I switched to water.....but these core temp differences are killing my OC I'm sure.
Idleing at 4c & 21c respectively  with 1.55v (board max)
3760mhz completed Pi in 22.9 secs :) So I'm chuffed.
Not quite as klassy as you guys yet but almost.......congrats on the Pi times guys.....awesome :)
Got the stepping off the 6000+ when I switched blocks too.
CCB8F 0729BPMW
chilly water I hope looking at those temps or you better put some serious clothing on.
That seems in line with what I was getting at 20c Pi load peak temp (of course.. at the end of pi) that's what I posted the 3.8ghz time with.
Hence why I've invested in the aircon chiller project. With a coldbug at below -10, a +20c load temp was never going to have a crack at WR's
Some good progress!

New X2 pi WR? (...just, after a 2 day old one from SAD  )
PErhaps more importantly, depending on your point of view I guess... After at least an hour of reboots, and tinkering it all paid off..
New AMD CPU-Z WR!?: 4222MHz

Goal one, complete.
Now it's up to you SAD to pip the Pi time enough to bring the gold there.. I honestly can't squeeze an inch more out of it in pi, The only thing that'll do it is a more robust cooling setup.. I really think the pelt just can't take it.. it's amazing the cold bug is somewhere below -20c it seems now.. @ 270+HTT which is just sublime.
Considering a DI run next weekend as a result, so see what tricks you can pull.. I took my timings down as low as yours, but before I had a chance to try anything tighter, the condensation got too much for my weak insulation job
:toast: Congrats on the new all time AMD WORLD RECORD!:toast:
mAJORD thats a nice record :yepp:
Very nice!
CONGRATS mAJORD! Knew one of you could do it. Now It's just the SP1 WR for AMD left! AWSOME!!
Try it on DICE! 5GHz next :)
Congrats mAJORD!!
To bad my 6400+ isn't up to par yet.

Still workin on it though. I have alot of settings to play with so, things are looking good. BTW, this is with vcore set to auto and coretemp 27*c idle.
Btw mAJORD, why dont you make a topic at Xtreme Overclocking :p
nice!!
all you need is a fresh install and maybe some tweaks to break that 21.21s!
you're right, I checked hwbot.org but ripping has kingping listed. it's a tough goal, but you will make it majord!
great wr :toast:
Thanks guys
Yeah the 20.8 is quite a way away. I honestly think it's possible though with stronger cooling.
Load temp at the end of a pi run is about -1 as it stands.. 4.06ghz makes it to about loop 10 before crashing out.. go figure.
They don't seem to care about AMD Wrs in there.
mAjord - Damn!!!
Dude.. that is AWESOME!!! Its really unbelievable how you got 4.222Ghz, and how you got 21.469. We need to chat soon and compare notes :D
I have been so swamp. I have was playing with Spi32mb like on Friday, and been focuing on beating the X2 wr.. I'm at like 18m59s :( Still short of the overall AMD WR by like 15s.
Expect some new scores from me by like monday or so.
Oh.. as for the cold bug.. aslong as I can keep on of the cores above -30c via CoreTemp, it doesn't cold bug :)
Great job again mAJORD!!
SAD
Cheers SAD, I haven't tried a 32mb run yet due to the time it takes, and heatsoak hehe. Sounds like we both have our own problems with the different cooling methods.. yours staying above -30, and mine staying low enough under load.. need to find a happy medium :yepp:
Some more tweaking
http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/530/x2piwr2sr6.jpg
Sorry I haven't been able to post RAM timings with the SS, For some reason when I try to run 2 instances of CPU-Z for the screenshot I get a shutdown
I can tell you thoough I'm running the 14x multi @ 800 hence a /7 divider.. = around 574Mhz however, despite the almost 100Mhz difference our times are very similar IPC wise.. in other words not scaling well with ram clock beyond 500mhz.. perhaps CAS3 is the answer
majord.. le tme first to congrats for breaking into the 20's.. Kingpin is the only other person to accomplish that feat!!!
SAD
Congrats again mAJORD! Awsome sp1! Some more tweaking and you'll have it.
Very happy soldner, though In remounting everything and firing it back up in the hope to push the envelope a little further I instead have somehow knocked about 50mhz off my stable (pi stable) overclock :(, I'm totally stumped at what i've done, My temps are all identical give or take. SO unless I can get back where I was exactly, Until significant cooling improvments this is definatly it till then hehe. Every Mhz counts... so close it's frustrating.
I might throw some other benchies at it in the meantime :)
sounds like a plan buddy.....you'll take almost 10k in NUCLEARUS with that bad-boy, if not break the 10k.
winrar should see a good boost too......not to mention a 3D MARK 06 cpu score of 3k??????
heeh funny you say that, Just scraped 10020 after a couple of runs :D will post ss soon.
and a 22.12 Wprime, but stupid me decided to push higher (and failing.. errors at about 88% ) instead of screenshot, now I have to try and get it again.
Nevermind, HWBOT seems to be down anyway so not like I can submit a score.. what's with it allowing you to finish the calc with errors too? essentially means you can't post an SS since it can be totally flawed :O
22.12 Wprime 32M??? aint that a little too slow?
dunno, but i got 23.2 at 3418mhz
but that nuclearus score is insane, thats fast
can you do all the tests in PCmar05?
then this is the ram you need
http://img458.imageshack.us/img458/1...wze9pq4il4.jpg
that oc is with 2.2v
here is the ram at newegg, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820208283
madman, yeah it is rather slow i'm thinking too, can't say I know why, it's at 3.8ghz!
I just tried it at 3.414Ghz and I got 25.1sec , Love to know what you're doing :O
SOLDNER, no way i was scrapping that score, more like I wasn't giving up after missing 10k by 1 or 2 digits ;)
hstuehmeyer2000 , now THAT's good ram, that and/or you have a friendly mem controller / have magic fingers with your DRAM settings
:)
i tell you something about wPrime from my experience...
it loves two things:
realtime priority AND Vista Ultimate 32 with stopped almost all services and processes (except explorer, that makes it worse).
and my 1024M score is smth more than 12min
and thats with CL5, as i thought it will crash at cl4... when i discovered it will run at 480mhz cl4, i was already 1st 5200+ on hw_bot in wPrime lol
btw, Vista, with stopped services, processes can be fast. in reality, some benches are faster on vista than on my Xp 32 or 64bit install.
dunno, everyone swear on vista and i love it :D
Edit: wish i had that ram, on exactly same speed, i need 4-4-4-10 timings 2.275Vmem
well there you go, it's XP at fault ;) thanks for the tip
never would have thought that to be honest, but.. not only Wprime, it seems winrar benchies run best on VISTA too.. at least that's the impression i get browsing the Rar bench thread... very interesting. For the record, again 1812Mb/s @ 3.85ghz, certainly lower than expected when compared with vista results .
Me think's a copy of vista may just be worth a try this week.
So on that note i'll stop at nuclearus for now :) , here you go SOLDNER
Nuclearus 10020 Mark @ 3824Mhz DDR2-546Mhz 4-4-4-6-11 2T
http://img187.imageshack.us/img187/2...nuclearyc8.jpg
thats with a brisbane to, i am sure a windsor would do much better, and its the board thats magical, i used the dd533 divider, i have never gotten my ram that fast at cas 3 on any other board
edit: thought the mobo was in the screenshot, I got that oc on a DFI LP 590
In tune with everything else in my life, snuck in by just one day.. i.e K10 quad NDA lifts tommorow.. not only may (emphasis on may, I personally don't expect K10 pi to be too impressive at all) the pi WR be smashed by some review site, but who knows they may even run nuclearus :ROTF:
Wow. Truly impressive results mAJORD. I didn't catch it if you mentioned it already, but which stepping did you receive on your 6400+? I want to see SP1 19.xxx with that chip, I know its possible! ;)
Hey Flawez
It's a CBB8F 0722 TPMW
SAD's chip: ACB8F 0723 with a "damn.. forgot the last part.. i think SPWM" :ROTF:
have you tried Vista? this morning i pushed a little harder, and got this one:
3510mhz@1.56V, ram at 501 4-4-4-12 2T
Pi : 24.07s
wPrime32: 22.259s
winrar: bluescreen :ROTF: :ROTF:
havent tried PCmark as i have crappy OS HDD, subscores are good, but that HDD just kills me...
dont you know? whats better?
raptor or 2*WD160YS in raid?
wow, wprime loves the vista :O
Pi doesn't look as crash hot on it however :),
and no I havent tried it yet, been too much K10 stuff flying around
yes, wPrime loves vista, but theres huuuge, and i mean huge difference between all day vista and vista for bench.
if i stop many services and close 20processes, lol, i have 65+ processes running now, it saves me a lot of time in wPrime.
what are you getting in pi at ~3500?
Here is my sp1 for comparison, this is on my Zalman 9700LED
Sorry for the size..
Haven't tried too much Wprime as you see. This is one of the few runs I've done, some time ago. Quite crappy time actually. I'll make a run later this evening. Any good wintweaks?
Hey Folks,
Sorry for the lack of update. I have been so busy w/ RL :(
Anyway.. I wanted to share a quick Spi 32mb run. FOr somereason I only have the 19min screen shot. I was actually able to get like 18m5x's.. which is still ike 10 sec off the overall WR. I will try again when I get a chance.
Sorry about the big image,

SAD
wow, great result :toast:
Hi. I have the CCB6F 3800+ too.
I'll post here some scores later. Now I must burn'in the Foxconn mobo ;]
http://img383.imageshack.us/img383/3962/12wc8.jpg
kinda bored to continue , looks like it is stable there dont ya think? is the Vcore good for a CCB6F?
(thats on air btw)
Lookin good SAD, if only you could get that RAM up to speed and it'd be yours i'm sure of it ! Get some crucial! ;)
This tread is looking better and better every time I visit! Congratz on all WR´s, Getting my 6400+ Black in 4 houres, can´t wait! hoping it works ok in my DFI 570 Ultra!
