I just want to know how they got that thing to me through Canada Customs.
The last time NVIDIA sent an ammo box and the boys at customs had a bloody field day with it... ;)
i saw this in many sites

Well we know pretty much everything in the chart is wrong.
Yup, GK110 is a myth.

After i saw the GTX690 info. released, i think that the chart is wrong. sorry my bad
just curious but whats the total length of the 690?
So about that GTX 670...
Quote:
NVIDIA Prepares Two More GK104-based cards - GeForce GTX 660 Ti and 670
The word on the street was that NVIDIA worked on GTX 680 and GTX 690 since third quarter of 2012, and once the work was done on the GTX 680 - the company pulled no stops to make GTX 690 the highest performing single slot dual-GPU card. However, even with high yield of fully enabled GK104 chips enabling the launch of GTX 680 (which are in constant shortage sans one AIB that allegedly has an exclusive deal for some markets), there is a lot of 3.5 billion transistor chips which aren't performing up to par.
In order to address those chips, NVIDIA will launch not one, but two cut-down versions of the GK104 chip: the Geforce GTX 660 (or 660 Ti) and GTX 670 (or 670 Ti). According to WCCFTech, the GK104-335-A2 will power the GTX 670, while GTX 660 may be powered by another revision. Given the way NVIDIA labels the GPUs, we would not be surprised if some of NV partners are in a lot of hot water, since NVIDIA typically uses three-number customer codes (GX1XX-XXX-AX).
GeForce GTX 670 should feature 1344 CUDA cores, same uncut 256-bit memory controller and paltry 2GB GDDR5 memory. The clocks should be set at around 915-950MHz for the GPU, and 1.25GHz QDR for video memory, resulting in 156GB/s of video memory bandwidth. Estimated price for the part should be around $399-429, going head to head against the Radeon HD 7950.
GeForce GTX 660 would be a different bird, with no less than whole GPC (Graphics Processing Cluster) disabled , resulting with 1152 CUDA codes. Memory bus would be cut to 192-bit, meaning again - the odd combination of either 768MB or 1.5GB. Given that it's 2012, we don't see anyone launching a product with 768MB of video memory. This part should go for $199-249, targeting AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series (Pitcairn GPUs).
The pricing structure would leave a pretty large hole between $249 and $399, but so is the performance difference between the two. That room is left to the partners to come up with overclocked cards, liquid cooled products, multiple memory configurations etc. According to our sources, don't expect GK107 to come to desktop anytime soon - all the allocated volume goes into laptops and Ultrabooks.
NVIDIA pricing structure (for now), should look as follows:
$999 - GTX 690 4GB
$579 - GTX 680 4GB OC (Preferred AIB Pricing)
$499 - GTX 680 2GB
$479 - GTX 670 4GB (Preferred AIB Pricing)
$399 - GTX 670 2GB
$249 - GTX 660 (Ti?) 1.5GB
Products are expected to be formally announced next week, with mass availability and custom designs by Computex Taipei 2012, which is scheduled to take place between June 5-9 at World Trade Center and Nangang Exhibithion Hall in Taipei, Taiwan.

That timing would be perfect for my upgrade plans. The Mid range needs some downward pressure on the prices.
So small :o
GTX550 same size? lol
A driver update for GTX680 would be nice too.
lol @ how far off those charts are, didn't realise till I re-read the last few posts.
-PB
Looks like outdated charts to me...
Now here's some other info I came across...
http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/sho...5&postcount=54
120 $ difference between the 680 2gb and 4gb ? look a bit high no ? ( this will push the card in the 600-650$ markt )
MSI GTX 670 Appears At Malaysia Retailer
https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net...11757727_n.jpgQuote:
While the new Kepler-based GPUs by NVIDIA have been making their rounds in the news with the recent releases of GeForce GTX 680 and GTX 690, the family is still quite small for the time being. As per their previous releases of GPUs, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that the architecture will soon be extended to other more pocket-friendly products.
Hence, the rumor mills are running rampant with news of such products including the GTX 670. Now it is time to stop the rumor: the GTX 670 is indeed real as the new graphics card has just made an appearance here in Malaysia.
One of the most well-known local IT retailer, Cycom has posted out this particular photo of a MSI GTX 670 on their Facebook page just an hour ago. Said to be priced at RM 1,399, the graphics card also made an appearance on the store latest price list which listed it at RM 1,380. It also appears that the card is the sole GeForce GTX 670 card in the price list.
Since NVIDIA themselves have yet to announce or release any official information on the GeForce GTX 670, we have no idea what it is capable of. With this development, we believe it is going to happened very soon.

I will not play the bad guy, but " 690 just released ".... no review, no benchmark.... ( reviewers got the card now, so it should appear this week )
If it can be overclocked on-air and match GTX 680's performance, then GTX 670 is the card for me.
Can anybody confirm the May 7th release for this card?
Release is May 3rd @ 6AM PST / 9AM EST. That's when you'll see reviews.
There may be some stock in the channel on that day but due to the secrecy surrounding this launch, I'm guessing retailers will only have stock the following week, unless they air-ship some cards in.

That card looks the sex
Tell us how it goes
Nvidia is really on the fire lately with the design haha. I like that they put a typical "$500+" bundled card cooling solution into a $400 card at least, often they try to save a lot on the cooling solution. Now I haven't seen the internals but looks promissing from the outside. Would be a quite good deal if it could clock a little past GTX680 stock speeds at least, however with GTX 680 overclockability I'm slightly doubtful on that part.
Dispaly Port? What is that...lol ;)
Still no real news about the GTX 780. I doubt very much it will come out this year, since there is no need for nvidia to release it in the coming months :(
.......and why put the power connectors THERE?
I was happy with these....
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...=1#post5095128
probably to make room for the fan...fan seems to be more centered than the 680
If the power plugs were at normal place, there will be some problem with the blower fan, no ?
i think it looks quite dumb with the connectors there
and were only talking about 1/2", so i think they should have just moved the fan inward and shrink the heatsink by that 1/2" if needed
Talk about cutting things down to size... :p:
Hopefully the smaller pcb and layout didn't result in to many sacrifices.
About :banana::banana::banana:ing time they cut off that mostly unused PCB space. I wonder about the cost savings. The VRM section is next to the HDMI, DVI, etc. ports, like in the HD7870.
I love what NV is doing this generation. Their chips are still inferior to ATI's efficiency wise, but a lot closer than in the past, and the rest is just perfect.
nda expires tomorrow as well on the GTX670?
Which is tomorrow....
Today if you're in Australia :D
Interesting on the PCB design though, could cram a lot of these on H20 into a smaller case.

If you want to nitpick that much, at least do it right. The only thing AMD did with the launch of the 6000 series was to retire the ATI brand, for marketing reasons not related to the chips. Might as well count every chip since 2006 as AMD, because that's when AMD bought ATI.
Or we can cut the crap, since all of us already understood the original comment: Pitcairn and Cape Verde are more energy efficient than GK104, and GK104 itself is wonderful in that regard when you compare it to previous NV chips.
Someone needs to leak those drivers.
Blah, now the GTX 670. ::rolls eyes::
T-minus four months until we hear/read some news about the REAL beast...
Way too early to say the Nvidia chips is inferior efficiency wise. With only one chip out and one version of it, it is too much to put a blanket statement and say Nvidia chips(or the architecture in general) loses efficiency wise. I think you should wait for the whole line up to say this because people usually compared efficiency based on performance class and price class. The 7870 is in a much lower class of performance and lower chips end chips have always had better efficiency than higher end ones. Against its direct competitor, the gtx 680 is more efficient than a 7970 in both size, heat and energy consumption. Or next time be more specific and say that the gk104 loses in efficiency to pitcairns.
Also there isn't that much of a delta in terms of efficiency. In some reviews, the 7870 and gtx 680 are very close for performance per watt, with the gtx 680 taking the nod in this particular review. (I will agree that the 7870 tends to be more efficient, but it is not by that much)
http://hexus.net/tech/reviews/graphi...-card/?page=16
We should looks for the 7870s competitor before we say nvidia's chips. because most people looking to buy a gtx 680 class videocard are going to be comparing gtx 680s and 7970s power efficiency if they are looking at that metric. Also, like tahati, the scaled down version of nvidia's chip might be more efficient.
Reviews are up :)
Thanks Monstru ..
Its surprising to see sometimes the min fps, higher of 2x 680... ( Batman AC for the example ).
One question anyway ? what was the max clock speed under turbo ? ...
May as well add ours too. It includes PCI-E scaling, Surround, 3D Vision, etc.

If you've got questions....post away!
:)
It goes past 1050MHz in most games.
Anyway, for me remembering them was the best part :)

Far out that Windforce is huge.
Begs the question though, for the price and size of that thing, why not just get a non-reference 680? =/

That PCB is just amazingly small.. The only reason Nvidia went with a blower style fan to extend the card 3+ inches is most likely they looked at what the card looked like with a normal HSF on the GPU and said "lol..wut... no one will pay $399 for this.. we gotta make it look bigger!"
I would also speculate the PCB on the 680 was designed with the big daddy Kepler in mind and after seeing the 7900 release, the just put the GK104 GPU on there instead even thou the PCB was huge overkill for that particular chip.
