I apologize if anyone understood anything I've stated to be in that vein, as it was not intended to be the source of an argument.

thanks!
Winbond UTT can under others like PSC be found on TwinMOS/M.tec - we still use both on M.tec so here i can´t guarantee anything...
All upcoming TwinMOS Speed Premium should have Winbond UTT - we call it CH-5 - former first version of Speed Premium has selectd PSC (review can be found here: http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/T.../SpeedPremium/) and will never run like the Winbond based ones. Check out the "winbond dots" on the chip itself ;)
I will try to find out from which date we switched for WB UTT for the Speed Premium and tell ya asap (next week).
woohoo, this is awsome. Having offical info is always good. Have an official rep is even better.
Thanks Alonso
Hang on a sec, so your saying that you are labeling your winbond UTT as CH5, is that the reason why komplett have now after a long time bought back the CH5 winbond stock, also is this why some earlier members were hitting 250+ at 2,2,2,10 even thou they had CH5, why are you labeling UTT stock as CH5???Quote:

Thanks Alonso :toast:
we are not labeling anything else than TwinMOS and M.tec
we are calling the Winbond UTT internally CH-5 nothing more...
This pic is from the site alonso listed
OOOH i would like to see the look on their face when they read this thread!

Well, since you asked.Quote:

OK, I have a second. There are guys here and across the web that are reporting great results with TM/M.tec chips that were purchased a couple of years ago. These chips have the physical marks similar to Winbond. Would these be relabeled bh-5/bh-6/ch-5 or are there other chips manufactured that have the same outside appearence as the Winbond? I ask because if the opportunity comes up to buy something with older dates (like on eBay), but with the same physical markings, it would be useful to know the answer to that question.
That is today's allotment of questions.
someone should tell XtremeSystems staff about his existence here
at least give him Tag under his nick name showing he is Twinmos Representative here like others (BigToe,OnePageBook) :)
Anyway welcome to Xtreme Systems :)
we didn´t know in first place - we are not OC hunters like OCZ and generally not deal with higher voltages...
I don´t think that a chip can be identified only by the package. You never know what will be inside if u look only at the chip itself without any additional information. But also here i will try to get more info about...
Of course there can be Winbond ICs under the "old" M.tec modules. For these we used everything cheap as it is our OEM brand.
thx tictac ;) nice place here
BTW: i have been here before starting for TwinMOS - but since July 2003 they got me now ;)
Could some one give me info regarding the following cos i dnt understnad something:Quote:

What i find interesting is shortly after winbond stopped producing BH5, people claimed that they had been boguht out, or gone bust, machines and designs templates lost???. So if they stopped producuing BH5, how have komplett now got new stock of CH5 when winbond have stopped trading. Who is producing the new CH5???
I know from a fact that after all the BH5 crazy started hitting the forums, i wanted more but komplett had totally stopped selling winbond twinmoss modules. So where are komplett getting these CH5 from???
**Edit also komplett start selling Ch5, after VX are released and people starting finding out that they contain winbond UTT chips...
i knew it! CH wafer! :p: :D :toast:  :banana4:
Well I just had a friend send me a link to a previously unknown TwinMOS PC3200 that might be worth looking into. It is supposed to be a limited edition. Alonso, what can you tell us about this stock?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ayphotohosting
are they selling new Twinmos/winbond?
afaik the new winbond utt are built with infineon´s technologie and will not come with the well known winbond logo anymore
but things can change quite fast these days...
BTW: TwinMOS/M.tec with AA4T @ the end of P/N should have Winbond UTT
AA = 0,13um
4 = Winbond
also the TwinMOS Speed Premium which will have better PCB than M.tec with 4 in the code should be the modules to go for ;)
In the techpowerup review we can find the AADT where the D stands for PSC ;)
Well thats confirmed alot that many have posted in this thread already.Quote:

one more question Alonso:
chip's wise we are (imho) almost done: 2 dimples, TMD...50D or 44D, date finishing at 4 from week >46.
now pcb wise is there any diference between, for example, Speed Premium and the usual Dual Channel kits? (considering they have the same chips on them)
are the pcb's the same for every kind of UTT sticks? or should we focus on some particular Twinmos product with some special BP pcb? maybe an particular pcb revision?
tks for ur help! :)
PS: can you PLZ pm me some distributer/dealer from Twinmos at Portugal/Spain? tks :)
