I think folks like me that ordered from http://www.motherboardpro.com/ got boards drop shipped yesterday from DFI directly. Mine is sitting at my ship-to-address in Blaine, WA waiting for me to pick it up tomorrow. :D
Short and brief impression from the bench:
DFI 680i LT SLI (Quad-Beta Bios dated 24/04/2007)
Xeon X3210
4GB OCZ FlexXLC 9200
OCZ 850W PSU

So far - so good ...
wooohoo ! ! ! i have tracking number and confirmation my board has shipped out of SAN LEANDRO, CA.
should be here early next week. i hate to say it but looks like that mbpro site is legit... i thought they were a scam at first but they stayed in contact the whole time and just gave me my tracking # ! ! horray
I received my board today. It wont post. fans spin over once then it starts beeping. No post codes on LED. I was told through the person i bought it from who spoke with DFI that it was probably my enermax 1000w power supply. This power supply has worked on 15 different makes of boards, why wouldn't it work on this one? He said that there is an issue with the DFI and enermax. What could that issue be? i just dont understand.
I have also had the same experience as you. The company has been keeping in touch throughout the process and keeping me informed. Although mine is still in San Leandro, CA, it should be arriving next Tuesday. Sadly, I won't be able to play around with it right away, finals week. Bah!

I am unfortunately the person who sold him this board, I tested it working after updating to the BIOS now listed on the DFI website. I shipped it in working condition and had it insured for the purchase price. I am also actively trying to support Nugzo's issue, If the issue cannot be resolved I will replace the board, but would first need to get it back to inspect and approve RMA. I have four more on the way from DFI-SJ for re-sale - I am waiting on my Rep to see what my cost will be before I know what I can re-sell them at, one of the four boards is reserved for Nugzo in the event his board is shot and RMAable. As long as there are no real issues in regaurd to the condition of the board there should be no problems.Quote:

I really hope the Enermax did not pop his board, all I got from Shawn at DFI-SJ is that the Enermax in general and Nugzo's 1000watt PSU are un-tested and should not be used at this point, Shawn at DFI-SJ told me today they have succesfully been using the AntecNeoHE550 for testing purposes, I myself have successfully used both an AntecNeoHE500 and a Thermaltake ToughPower750.
I do not intend to stick you with a bad board my friend, we will do everything possible to make this work out.
FYI:
I had 1st trouble to get it running with the OCZ850 (no reaction on pwr button nada), swapped to an 600W OCZ and it booted fine. After some Bios updates it did give the OCZ850 another try. Since that time - no Probs anymore. Works like a charm with the OCZ850.
I think the real reason it wont post is b/c the IO shield is missing :stick: :stick: @Eyeborg :D
 uh oh, I had it out of the box during testing and updating the bios, srry it didnt make it back in, should we wait with shipping it to you until we know for sure it works or not?
 Yeah that would be best. I'm goin in early tomorrow to mess with it some more. If i still get nothing, i will overnight it to you monday for tuesday. I've had a lot of boards lately and none have been DOA. It may have just been my time, I hope not though. I really dont know if i prefer it being the power supply or the board. The power supply was more $ than the board. I'd hate to have to by another high end power supply. I just dont think my other 750 is enough for 2 8800's, 1 7100, 6 hard drives, areca Raid card, 4 cold cathodes, water pump, many fans, whilst overclocking.
@nugzo
If nothing else try to borrow a psu for testing. Anything as long it's not an Enermax. DFI boards and Enermax have never got along together.
hey guys quick question here... i was looking over the PDF manual in anticipation and noticed it has two 5V / 12V floppy power connectors on the motherboard. one next to PCIE 1 and one next to PCIE 3..
do these need to be hooked up? my 8800's already have two power connectors going to them a piece.. and my PSU only comes with one of those antiquated floppy power connectors...
tx in advance...
I tried a thermaltake 750 but it was kinda half assed. DFI said to remove cmos battery for 30 min then try other power supply. I didnt do that.
I have a few other power supplies at the shop to test with as well. If its the power supply, i'll know soon enough. I'm sure i'll figure it out. It worked before I got it, it should work now.
Nugzo,
Is this your first DFI board?
I guess you need to do some more reading up on the subject.

Another resource,
RECCOMENDED MEMORY
though not entirely complete, Im using Crucial Ballistix DDR1000 Micron D9s and Geil DDR800 D9s without error on this board, not at the same time..
Nope my second. Here is a link to my first. Those were the good old days.
tx very interesting link. can i get some advice ? i have a pair of the corsair 8500's and a pair of the corsair 10000's sitting here.... i'm going to return one of the pairs.
the 8500's are listed on the DFI compat. page but there isn't even a section for DDR II 1250 ...
should i keep the 10k's or go with the 8500's ?
Do you have time to test both sets?
My memory is not in the list either, but the board seems to like it.
I would say the faster the better :P
That would be rediculous if they didnt support Enermax... cant see how exactly? I had an Enermax Noisetaker 600w and it worked fine with both an SLI-DR and Expert. But anyway, they are a big brand, and there is no way im switching out my PSU. I bought that 1kw PSU to last me a while... if there are problems with it and the DFI, i wont be getting this board... lets hope its not an issue.
