thanks radaja and andressergio :)
OK, just installed the UD3P rev1.0, a q9650 and some G.Skill PI's. I hope it will be fun again to try this platform. My goal is to get 4500mhz LinX stable, but that will be hard to do.
EDIT, maybe I have bitten off more than I can chew. The first few attemps have brought my new watercooling to its knees.
Thanks Sergio, glad to be back among the fine people in this thread. This is where I had the most fun overclocking, and learned the most.
Well, that was short lived, there is no way to control temps in linx at 4500. I am still on the UD3P though, trying my old e8400co to see if that can do 4500mhz. I cant remember the ref's for that but have been trying different things.
OC Nub,you should just send me the Q9650 because my WCing can handle it:rofl:J/K
what kind of temps are you seeing?
I ran blend first at 4500mhz and in 8k it was in the upper 50's c. In Linx it shot to 80c, its a 1.175vid chip and always was hard to cool.
I had the AC on it and still went crazy high in LinX, the newer platforms/chips handle LinX better.
Do you happen to remember the ref's for the e8400's?
Thanks.
Tom
mine liked it like this.with vtt at 1.28v cpu ref at normal(0.760) and mch at 0.750 bios 0.70 ET6
Thanks, I will try that, has been a while and couldnt remember.
Those ref's work nice, thanks radaja.
This chip has bad sensors idle and load, have no clue what the actual temps are.
Im just using an old 2x1gb kit of dominators.
nice, glad i could help.im sure your temps with the duallie are fine:up:
First couple runs were at 4ghz, at 4100mhz now just doing short runs using the 8 multi. The 2gb of mem helps speed things up also, I am sure it requires more vcore with 4gb of mem but this is fast and fun, no 1hr+ runs to see if it passes.

LMAO Sergio
I cant seem to get the gflops to go any higher than 27-28 in linx, normally the higher mhz the higher the gflops. This is where I am at now.
I restarted it several times to try and get gflops higher but the same results each time.

Try cranking up the MCH OC Nub.
I uninstalled the board, the newer boards that recover from a bad oc have ruined me for this platform or at least the older p45's. The boot loops are to frequent, or maybe I have turned into a wimp.
just placed a wanted ad in the wanted section.so i thought id ask you guys too.
im looking for an I/O shield for a UD3P and maybe just maybe, some one heres has
an extra one.i know i went through quite a few of these boards and i used to have
an extra laying around until i gave it to some else who needed it.now i find myself
in a similar situation,i just got a board but didnt get the I/O shield and now need one.
so if any of my fellow UD3P users have an extra please PM me.thanks
EDIT-thanks NoGuru for coming to my aid:up:
Well guys finally my Stalent 2200 CL8 kit arrived today looks awesome :D
I want to thank my friend Tracy ;) for the great help
it just outperform my Gskill PI 2000 CL6, it was so easy to tight timmings at stock volts and pass this tests...
X3380@ 4500
Stalent 2200 CL8@ 1600 6-6-6-18 PL7 1,65vdimm stock

Sergio
andressergio,very nice:up:
so it was easier to do 1600 cl6 whith this kit?
cant wait to see how they can go on the P45
and then how low you can run the latency,cl5?maybe
Congrats Sergio!
100% easier than Gskills PI 2000 CL6 look this radaja still on stock volts

will try zsamz  just cant believe how nice are doing on 1600 PL7 tightening timmings
Thanks Tom
still dunno why i cant boot on 2000, was easier on the gskills but tighten timmings at 1600 love it :D really an amazing kit
