Thank You Linflas, I just got back from RADIOSHACK, I went ahead and bought 2 x RC2032 Batteries for $4.99 each. I am going to install one and then I will REFLASH the Beta06 BIOS again. Hopefully the BIOS ROM will hold my settings this time and if it can BOOT to Windows XP with an unlocked Multi, Recognized 1111MHz RAM, and 1333FSB Strap, I will attempt to put on the VAPOPCHILL!!

I think this board has the potential to be beastly. . .but we have to work out some kinks first. FSB holes, HT voltages, uber hot pwm mosfets, etc.

I sometimes get the excact same thing on the post display following a reset after a lock up. All i did was switch off power at socket for 30 seconds ,reboot and away i went again. Usb mouse and keyboard problem on this board is a pain in the ass.

Please Abit, release a bios soon so I can truly enjoy the potential of this motherboard. It seems to hate default multiplier on both an E6600 & E6400. But if you lower it one settings the board suddenly clocks.:confused: And no its not because of voltage, the more I give the less it boots.

The only limiting factor for me on water so far has been the PWM temps, I have been stable for orthos @ 4.0 and 4.1 on my E6600 with temps on the cpu under 70C.

This is my current 24/7 due to the limitations of my PWM cooling, until I get that sorted out, this will do fine. BTW the glitch in ORTHOS seems to be a vista problem, it is vista 32bit, seems to think the E6600 will always have a X9 multi. Which clocks just as well, but need alot more voltage for the higher clocks, and the pwm's get very angry with me when I do this.

Guys, quick question. I've finally got my EK blocks for my 8800's arriving tomorrow, so ive just gone to order an MCW30 for the NB, however everywhere in the UK is completely out of stock (typical) and doesnt have any ETA on when further blocks will be available.

Any advice on an alternative that performs equally and would do for the IN9?

wow - nice.. well, I don't know.. I think you might be able to get DD or other NB block to work, just might have to "rig" the mount some how.

speedfreak my system is very similar to yours. Welcome to the club. I'm just starting to OC my Xeon 3060. Went from 2.4Ghz to 2.7Ghz last night without much fanfare last night. Will work on more tonight.

Question for all, what is the key to getting your memory to run at it's listed speed when you are OCing your processor?

My Crucial is rated at 1000Mhz.

I used to do some OCing but that was back in the early P4 / late PIII era, and my 'deulxe' mobo did not nearly have as many options to work with, and the memory, chipset, processor were all tied together and didn't have individual voltage settings, etc..

I am from western kentucky, however I go to school in Cincinnati at UC so I know the area.

I haven't gotten everything completely up and running yet, but I just saw that my 8800 gts was delivered at home today. I'll know a little more tonight. I powered up the system without the video card though and the boot codes on the board went like they are supposed to, so I am hoping that I got everything together correctly. This is my first build up, and so I hope things go well.

I have been having a hell of a time with this board.

Ok: My problems.

I updated to the B06 bios.

Running a C2D E6600

Cannot get this board stable at 400Mhz no matter what I try.

Lower the Multi to 8x (8x400) = 3200, Ram Synced (800 Mhz 4-4-4-15) 2.3v

Unstable as all hell.

Here is my setup

Abit IN9-32X-Max
C2D E6600
GSKILL F2-8000PHU2-2GBHZ
EVGA 8800GTX
PCP&C Custom 1KW.

Wont save memory timings, Randomly reverts to the max multi, frequent soft and hard boot lockups even at stock settings.

Ive gone through some problematic MBs in my day, but this one is trying my patience.

Right around the 400 mark the board is unstable for me with my 6600. Drop down to 380ish and test her out and she will probably be just fine (just as an example, I know you don't "want" to run there :p: ). There are alot of "zones", "holes" or "deadspots". Some will not post and others will boot (like 400) but give you instability. You have to find a spot in the middle of each "zone" :D 450 X 8 is another that is somewhat unstable until I move up to 460ish.

I had random boots back to default clocks with the original shipping bios but B06 seems to hold em just fine for me. I've gone back to original for now but now 1T refuses to "stick". Definitely has some quirks...

For my 6600 to do 3.6 it needs around 1.5vcore. I've only bumped NBv to 1.45v. Not much else has had any positive/negative effect thus far aside from running linked, synced and unlinked and what not with the memory giving me grief. This thing will get oh so close and pass everything you throw at it and then fail orthos...she's a bit of a tease me thinks :slobber:

Also do you happen to know where the measurement points on the board are for Vcore?
