Just wow! SV, that is really cool. I'm continually amazed at this board family, and y'all's skill at bringing out the most of every component.
I always love that "easy" stuff....
if it was easy it would already be posted!
guess you better find an xp load....
I used a BenchZoner load for xp that i downloaded from here...
Thanks Bro, I just got to find the best Ram for the job,
i need to break out of the 9's to even get close to
Jor3llBR/Elano's 8sec 850ms
That is gonna take some work :surf:
Run the ram in dual channel next time and see what it does. You have the mhz for 8s now just need to find out whats holding it back.
Any update on this...if the power is unplugged, lan ports are dead until you reset the CMOS.
Also...when I engage the Energysaver program, I get a squealing sound coming from the MB, can't tell exactly where from, but its sounds like its just south of the CPU, by the big blue heat sink with Gigabyte logo on it.
Of course, the minute I turn off the Energysaver program, squealing stops.
Any ideas? I'm running the latest Bios FE btw.
hey you know it, i love a challange,. i am glad that link helped..
my real worry is the gap between 9.2 and first which is 8.8
that is a lot of tuning....
i might wait and put the chip in the REX and use some of that Hyper magic on it!
i like that xp build, he made it with not many services running, if you have any problems give me a shout
not sure what tool you use to push your cpu, i use easytune6 which needed a dll.
or if you use something else on the cpu....
keep it coming Serg
that is some tight ass timmings viper and also Elano was doing it at x9 multi we are on 9,5...will try this weekend i will try to install on another HDD to try pushing timmings as on W7x64 needs more volts and not a bench OS, though if you saw my SS it scores real well
Cheers mate
Sergio
they all are running the 9.5 multi, take a look
8sec 850ms Jor3llBR/Elano
it's a 9.5 multi with the 544 bus speed
and running ram at 1:1 with 4-4-4-10-42 - 2T @ 544.7Mhz
Hi guys , did some research , and i found that the tipical VTT/CPUREF/MCHREF dont work for me.
I puted the vtt to 1.20 , cpu ref @ 0.785 and mch ref @ 0.80 , also used the oc 1333 for the rams (using mine @ 1200 cas 5) PL @ 10 , and guess what ..
It didnt even boot up .
I use another method that works for me. I set the vtt to 1.32 , mch ref to 0,726 , and cpu ref its 0.861 i think (it works in auto also).
I passed from didnt even booting (settings given by some users) by being fully stable .
Using e8400 @ 4.5 @ f4 bios @ ep45-ud3p
Can someone tell me the best way to ensure 100% stability .
I have memtest , orthos and linx!
Someone sugested orthos 8k test but for how many hours
Just so you know the 1.32vtt setting doesnt work, if its selected it drops back down to 1.30 even though it still shows 1.32 in the bios. Also the typical references for a quad, .785/0.800, are not the typical references for a dual, there usually auto/0.760 for the cpu and 0.680-0.720 for mch.
Are you sure ET6 is the thing that doesn't work and just sets it back to 1.3? More likely I reckon! Unless you've measured actual vtt, then fair enough. 1.32 was actually the most stable setting on my MIIF which is actually my next step at finding stability with 492x9/1968 7-9-7-24 1T pl7 0-0-1-1. A nice little compromise for my max stable ram/cpu speed I think. Will post screenies when done!
How many people here have had problems with the UD3R? I bought a new one months ago and it was DOA. It would power up for a few seconds and lose all power. On subsequent boot ups no lights no power just nothing in the case. I RMA'd it to Gigabyte and the replacement has had the similar problems. It would boot up once for a few seconds and lose power. I thought the computer was hanging but after pull the battery, there was no lights no fans.
I have read that the P45 boards have this problem. Has anybody here had similar problems? I've built 12 computers with 4 being Gigabyte and I was starting to think I did something wrong. This board is a nightmare.
Any thoughts are much appreciated.
god i need to get a decent 775 chip to throw into my UD3P
