you dont like the board? or are you just done with it?
getting 13 post code what should i do as i can't find anything on it ... (G.SKILL 6400 HZ) and tried some different memory - some cheap ddr2 is what i changed it to and no luck (03 post code then)
Well, I have X3210 (E8400) wich did take 620MHz on GA-EP45T Extreme easily but with this TPower I45 that CPU wo'nt do even 500MHz.
Memory is Axeram 2x1GB kit wich did 1200MHz on Asus Rampage Formula CL5.
What to do?
i'm beginning to understand this board :D:D:D
http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t...tos/620fsb.jpg
here are the bios settings that i used:
Intel SpeedStep: Disabled
Ratio CMOS Setting: x10
CPU Frequency Setting: 600 (i used setfsb in windows to raise the fsb more)
Over Clock Retry Count: 1
FSB (Bsel) to Northbridge Latch: 1333
DRAM Frequency: DDR2 1200Mhz
DDR2 Enhance Mode: Disabled
DDR2 RCOMP Configuration: configuration 4 (changing this seems to be the way to get higher fsb)
Static tREAD Value: 10
Configure DRAM Timing by SPD: disabled (5,5,5,15)
PCIE Frequency Setting: 100
CPU Clock Skew Control: 200ps
(G)MCH Clock Skew Control: Auto
CPU Clock Driving Control: Auto
CPU Voltage: +0.200
DDR Voltage: +0.400
Chipset Voltage: 0.325
FSB Voltage: Auto
CPU Core1 GTL Ref Voltage: 0.67*VTT
CPU Core2 GTL Ref Voltage: 0.67*VTT
MCH GTL Ref Voltage: Auto
CPU PLL Voltage: 1.6v
Solar, have you tried to lower the GTL from 0.67 to 0.63 or 0.61?
0.67 is a bit high for a 45nm cpu... maybe you could go upper by lowering them! ;)
3K posts for solarfall! hey anyone got any ideas for me?
manual says little about 13 - "early POST initialization of chipset registers"
ok well im getting used to the settings :D check out my SS
NOTE: I DO NOT need 1.416v for anything under 3.8mhz but i set it to that for some headroom

i like this one...small FFT's for 9 hours and 21 minutes.
here's the weird thing about this board...i tried 9x multi and left everything the same...i touched nothing other than multi..booted into windows and attempted Prime 95...all four cores dropped offline almost immediately...made sense at 4365 mhz.
so, i kept lowering the FSB at 9X until i reached the same Mhz as i had at 8.5X with 485 FSB...guess what!...it would not hold all four cores...again, all the bios settings remained the same except for multi and FSB..go figure that ONE!!!
nice! mine gets a tad froggy over 466fsb but i think it can be fixed.
got any ideas for me ACE?
Goat Eater, can you try a diff cpu? You're not getting very far into the boot seq.. If you're sure it's fine then ignore this post.
Hey Acer!
Just wanted to post back and say Thanks (TO EVERYBODY) for the help not really a FSB kinda guy, but...............

I have a 5.01Ghz run can't find ma linky wasn't sure if I posted it yet:shrug:.
i did try them but i could not use them in DDR2 RCOMP Configuration 4 witch in my case seems to be the key to getting higher fsb..
i had a pair of these: http://www.memoryc.com/computermemor...c28000cl4.html :yepp:
ran some 3dmark 01 today just to test how well this board handles 3d benching.. i know that my E8600 isn't really good.. but i was able get 5.9ghz stable in 3d (btw witch is 50 mhz better than what i was able to get with my Asus maximus 2 formula..) i used my beautiful naked 2 stage cascade to cool the cpu down :D

I'm curious... just how high a FSB were you able to obtain using any RCOMP Configuration with your Rhino D9GMH and 1/1 divider? I have some Kingston HyperX PC2-9200 and some Patriot Viper Extreme PC2-9600 that I can't seem to run much over 500fsb and it has been puzzling me.
well those rhino sticks that i got +OCZ DDR2 PC2-9600 FlexXLC sticks would both hit the wall around 590fsb cos i wasn't able to use them in RCOMP Configuration 4 or 2 witch seem to work best with me..
maybe there is something else holding you back ?? those sticks that you have are pretty good afaik
