you got me thinking now about pre-ordering. i guess the first to pre-order will get the order shipped out. i will probably order tonight or tomorrow. 200$ is the right price for me for a 3200+. i think all these vendors are getting their cpus from the same distributors. the waiting continues.
do you think that a 3200+ will be much better than a 3000+? Is the 10x multiplier THAT important?
I'd say the multipliers are less important to Sammie TCCD users, but us OCZ VX and Winbond UTT users will need the higher multipiliers to max out the CPU.Quote:

I will be purchasing a 4000+ to put under chilly1 modded phase change. My goal is 3.5ghz, 291x12 with 9/10 divider for 262mhz 2-2-2-5 ram day to day 24/7.
IF I get that I will be so happy....
does a 9/10 divider affect performance at all? Or is the change way too small to be noticable?
O and BTW, Newegg no longer has retail winchester 3500+'s, a good sign for Venice!
no difference in my testing besides the obvious mhz loss from 1/1, but theres no way 2x512mb of bh5 is doing 292mhz 2-2-2-5 so 1/1 is out of the question. 9/10 is the next best thing.Quote:

alright, i took the plunge and pre-ordered a 3200+ Venice from sparco. I hope they will get some in on monday the 18th. I wonder how far down the list of pre-order i'm on. 200$ is also a decent price. I can't hold out for monarch anymore and what if they gouge the price too. I think the best strategy in this situation is to pre-order at 1 etailer. the more pre-orders an etailer gets, the more processors will be allocated to them. just my 2 cents :).
