Guys, the board made the difference! I'm priming my 955 C3 at the moment. 4112MHz with 1.5V set in bios and cpu-z showing 1.52V.
Quite happy with it (Gigabyte MA790FX-UD5P) for now. I can't wait to put my best 965 in there :)

Nice oc's! I believe under water my cpu would scale very well also. 4,1GHz with air so 4,2GHz might be easy.

Just a quick 20 minutes of Prime, I won't wait it more on that frequency and voltage, because I'm aiming at 4.1-4.2

The only problem with that one is the weak IMC, I'll try to get it higher when I finish with the cpu frequency.
heres my results with my first c3... only thing i dont understand tho... im prime stable at 4ghz but after running WCG for a short while i crash... whats up? :confused:
also i was hoping i could go a little further as my max load temps are only hitting 50C max.. any suggestions?
Do I have a bad chip? I can get small FFTs prime for 12hr with 4.0ghz 1.5125v, but only 3910mhz with 1.5250 blend. I'm using 955 c3, and asus 790gx am2+ (m3a78-t). Around 52C load.
Maybe it needs a little more cold
sounds like nb or mem related... i would try blend w/ 4ghz cpu & default nb clocks, might have to bump cpu-nb volts a little bit though
Of 3x955BE C3 one did 4.0ghz easy and the another two did have hard to make 3.9ghz prime95...So it much about luck this days same week all 3.Quote:

Something strange happened , after I upgrade my windows SP2 to sp3.
My system became Unstable.
My Numbers:
Phenom II 955 C3 CACAC 0952
CPU at 3.8ghz (1.31V) + NB at 2.6ghz (1.1V) PASSED
I had Stability at :
Cpu at 4.0ghz (1.35V) + NB at 2.000ghz (1.1v) LinX PASSED with SP2
Cpu at 4.0ghz (1.35V) + NB at 2.000ghz (1.1v) LinX Failed with SP3
CPU at 4.0ghz (1.39v) + NB at 2.000ghz (1.1V) LinX PASSED with SP3
CPU at 4.0ghz (1.39v) + NB at 2.000ghz (1.1V) LinX PASSED with SP3
CPU at 4.0ghz (1.39v) + NB at 2.600ghz (1.23V) LinX FAILED with SP3
CPU at 4.0ghz (1.39v) + NB at 2.600ghz (1.25V) LinX FAILED with SP3
After SP3 the System started to give Blue screens with "MACHINE CHECK EXCEPTION".
Iīm afraid of raising the NB voltage too much...
At 4ghz if I raise NB speed with voltage adjustments the systems becames unstable. Pretty bad isnīt it?
What's a good voltage for NB? whatīs a good voltage for CPU??? for reaching stability with 4ghz and 2.6ghz + NB speed?????

Damn I very upset with my processor.
Itīs phenom II CACAC 0952 C3 stepping.
Itīs very good because itīs requeires very low voltage to reach STABLE high clocks.
Like :
3.9ghz (1.35v) + 2.6ghz (NB at 1.25V) STABLE at Prime 95
But Thereīs nothing i can do. My processor is not prime 95 stable under 4ghz.
I tried so many configurations :
1.39V 4ghz (System crashed then reboot)
1.40V 4ghz (System crashed then reboot)
1.42V 4ghz (System crashed then reboot)
1.44V 4ghz (System crashed then reboot)
please help....

Now I canīt.
Is it my psu's fault?
