aah looks real nice.
also good to know that 2x2GB is also able to do PL8 at the FSB, nugzo.
the Static tRead Value (this used to be in bios just "tRD" in some of the first Gigabyte P35 board's BIOS and then later they change it to use the long name) setting in gigabyte work just like this.
if you set the tRD value too low the board simply won't let you boot there will be some beeps and probably a few circle reboots by itself and it gets back up with default bios settings,
if it does not do that, then i turn off power supply switch, and start all over again with new setting. i've never killed any Gigabyte board or ram before (knock on wood) this way.
and if you set the tRD value manually in bios like i always do from the beginning of using the board and on any and every bios, include on every RAM kits i try, then i will know quite a bit about all the changes, and i can try to managed to make some bios setting adjustment on each RAM kits i have and use it on the system.
I've been installing my UD3P and when i first fired up i got some peeps. I thought it was the ram so i deceded to remove one stick, the problem went away. I marked the stick and decided to change out the stick and everything was ok.I tried to reinstall both stick and the beeping came back. Each stick will work in the first slot but I can't put anything in the other yellow slot. See this is strang because i was running a gigabyte 43 board and both stick worked in it and i was ablt to oc my 2.53 up to 3.5. Could this board have a bad memery slot?
Weeeell, I tried different memery and its confirmed. The second yellow slot is bad,any ram stick that I put into that slot give me series of beeps and it wont start. I have updated the bios to F5 thinking that might clear up the problems but nooooooo:down:
The boerd is running my e7200@3.8 on one stick of G.Skill 1066. While im sending in the MB i've been thinking about some different ram, what does everyone think about Patirot viper 1066,hell its 53 bucks?
Anyone got the DDR3 versions of these boards? I see their in stock at many e-tailors now.
EP45T-UD3R or EP45T-UD3P ?
Just wondering if they peform any better than their DDR2 brothers.
I am having a couple of issues with my UD3P.
#1 is I am having trouble getting my memory stable above 1000Mhz/ I have 4x1gb sticks of the old D9 Crucial Ballistic PC-6400. These same stick clocked very well on my Abit IP35 Pro 1150Mhz 5-5-5-15.
If anyone is running these same or similar sticks on this board and you have some good settings for clocking them to 1066Mhz or higher I would be grateful.
I am currently running them at 800Mhz.
I am still getting use to this BIOS and all of it's features.
#2 is the Dolby Sound Center does not work?? All I get is a pop up with a Error message.
Well, I turned off the comp...popped in the other stick of ram and wala its up and running.Maybe I wasn't holding my mouth right:yepp::shrug:
Hello everyone,
I recently buit the configuration from my signature and ever since have been experiencing troubles with stability.
At first I used the Corsair XMS 2x2gb 1066 ram but it was faulty so I got the Crucial wich is with micron double sided chips but ddr2 800.
At current clock levels 445x9 vcore 1.37, vmch 1.32, vddr 2.02 and with loose timings I was able to run Prime95 twice for 9 hours error free.
Even though the pc is prime stable it gets random freezes and a blue screen appears saying something like dumping memory and a countdown starts or just freezes.
Any ideas what might cause that? I am almost possitive that it is something in the BIOS.
Here is what my BIOS settings look like:

You may want to try raising the memory voltage to 2.1-2.2v. The sticks ae rated for stock voltage of 2.2v not 2.02v.
On mine the stock voltage is 2.0v (thats what the label says) if I set them to higher than 2.08 they start to be unstable. what about virtualization tech? on or off?
Just ran memtest for 4 hours no errors..
its dual sided. Any ideas anyone?
My mistake. I was thinking they were 1gb sticks and they are 2gb.:hitself:
i disable my virtualization tech.i think it has to do with if you run virtual machines like vm ware.
A few post back i was saying the I couldn't get my MB running with both sticks of ram.At some point it started to work and i couldnt tell why. While eveything seemed to be working great(3.9 on e7200,I decided to run the vcore on the chip to 1.4,a little high but i wanted it to hit 4.0. Whel it did and i wanted to prime95 it on blend. It stayed stable. I was watching the temp and it got up to 58c so i cecided to stop it,thay can go to 65ish,right?
I shut the computer down because i wanted to lower the vcore. On the restart it started to act up again with the second ram slot.I reset cmos and swaped out the ram sticks.:down:I have left it over night to cool down, basement is 59f now. Anyway it won't start with anything in the second slot, does anyone else had this problem? I;m thinking I need to RMA it.
i would rma it,sound like its a dud board.strange though how it wouldnt work .then it worked. then it wouldnt work again.
Hi,
Any news on the S3 resume problems on UD3P ? any bios updates ?
Do I have to raise the Core voltage to counter the huge vdrop on this board? I am setting to 1.4v and CPU-z is showing 1.34-1.36v. I am having trouble clocking my CPU higher then 4.0Ghz. The same CPU on my Abit would clock as high as 4.5Ghz.
I thought that I read LLC was not recommended for 45nm cpu's?
It is not recommended to use LLC.
