20 kits left as of 1:40am 3/27/07, most of the PC2-8000 Firestix I have seen have been GKX so your most likely right Hutch! Not a bad kit guys! Beats paying well over a $100 more for my GKX unfortunetly!

Well your kit is definately a lot higher binned and use an 8 layer PCB. ;)

I think I'm gonna have to settle for the D9GMH firestix for $163.99. The price is what's got me ;)

I would love to collect and test many different kits of RAM like some guys can do here, but being a poor college kid I'll have to be happy with a single decent kit!

Did you sell your GSKills (F2-8000PHU2-2GBHZ) yet, if so are you actually in the market for another kit? Also how has your PC2-5300 (non-Anniversary) modules working out for you? Are you happy with them or did your original kit do much better? I don't know if it's possible or not but get in touch with Crucial and tell them you see new 2GB Anniversary kits for sale (retail) and that you want to RMA your non-Anni for them now that their instock (worth a shot maybe)?

Well we can safely assume that the ones from Newegg are D9GMH. Just checked my two kits and they are indeed D9GMH. Maybe the people that bought theirs from Microcenter had an earlier version. Also, you can sorta tell if they are Elpida by the soldering method.

Both Elpida from Micro center and both were assembled in October (i am estimating that:D ) and yes were are assuming that they are GMH but low bin

Hmmm, I would like the see the SPD screenshot from CPUZ. So far my obversation on these kits is that they require about 2.3~2.4vdimm to run 1000Mhz CL4 or 800Mhz CL3.

No, I still have the G.Skill sitting in the Fs/Ft forum waiting to be sold. :)

The 5300's have actually been a pleasant surprise. They've done quite well for me. For the time being I've stopped benching so I don't know how much more I can push them.

That is a good idea. I will contact Crucial to see if they'll send me a kit of the 10th Anniversary. :)

Do we know yet what IC's this kit uses? At the moment you have this kit listed in the "Price Premium" section but should it be listed in the $260-$340 section instead because it's ony $289 at the moment (then again the price has been changing so often on RAM lately who knows how long it will only cost $289)?

It is GMH with 8 layers PCB , i am keeping it there duo to water cooling option + it is OCZ highest bin ,right know OCZ is trying to crush completion there prices are very low ATM , the most expensive 2GB kit for 290$ sounds ridiculously low but at the end this is better for US

I had emailed crucial a few weeks ago regarding the 10th anniversary kits. They said that they were ONLY offered through newegg and they were a one time thing.

Has anyone given the PC2-9200 OCZ 3.0v+? Curious as to how well they'll do...

When's ddr3 being released?
