The speed premiums are in stock at newegg right now, I'm looking at their web page as I'm typing this.Quote:

I see that esdee got 270 3.5vwith DFI nF4, I hope they don't have issues with my upcoming nF4 UD.
Have i done the right thing?
Basically you can't get Twinmos SP in the UK.
Couple of days ago i purchased a 1Gb of XMS3202v2.1 (BH6) for £95.00 ($182)
Today i was browsing ebay the was a guy selling a 1Gb of Twinmos SP for £120 ($230.00).
He said he has had it in is DFI NF4 board at 250fsb @2-2-2-5 with 3v, and that he did a memtest and it showed no errors.
Here are the codes
05034 TMD7608F8E44D
So they question is, have i done the right thing???
12 still left as of right now. That's the longest I've seen them in stock at the Egg. Demand must be falling off now. I put my TCCD back in my rig so I could start testing my SLI set-up, but I'll get back to TwinMos SP at some point. They flew errorless at 262 3.5v in memtest but weren't stable in Windows at that same speed in Windows unless I went 2-3-2 but bandwidth really dropped off.
How 'bout these??
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...218-062&depa=1
Owen..... CPUcity sell this ram for 47 quid a stick,.. its not labled as speed premium.. just standard OEM,,,, but its exsactly the same... read the CPUcity forums and u will see.... mine arrived today :0)
Thanks for that, But i've paid for them now nvm, but the ones im getting got the 44D code, which is the one i've been looking for ages.Quote:

That one is a complete roll of the dice. I and quite a few others got sticks with non-Winbond junk that wouldn't even work at default. Others have gotten their sticks with UTT chips.Quote:

going to buy 4 TWINMOS SPEED PREMIUM today :=) got them cheap here 90$/512...usually 110$.
Wow! $108.50 for 2x512mb? That's the lowest price I've seen.Quote:

How the new stick perform ? is that BP PCB? :D
Those are UTTs and he just named it BH5 3600 which doesnt exist....or I could be wrong lol :D
Anywho, I go my UTTs yesterday and got ONE great stick and one crap stick :(
#1 does 255 FSB 1T on my DFi UI # does 235 only with 3.3V and still unstable :(
Not bad. 05094 this week can run 260 2-2-2-5 1T at 3.3v.Quote:

his sticks are actually 44B. the usual UTT (CH-5) are D. (as far as i remember)
nice results btw. :)

3.8v DDR560 2-2-2-5 1T Memory Bandwidth Benchmark.
qk4722 are you comftorable running 3.6-3.8v on DFI NF4 ???
how're you colling ram??
and most of all please run #5 memtest also :)
I'm reading the 90+ pages of posts on this topic but thought I might ask and be sure;
Basically all of the Speed Premiums are UTT correct? The same UTT OCZ uses and so on?
I ask cuz my kid brother wants to get into Overclocking his unlocked Barton and I'm thinking about buying him some semi good overclocking ram and this might be it, so I wanna be sure.
EDIT
Woops, seems only the AA4T is UTT.
likeTEDY said, try them! :P it might do a good oc aswell.Quote:

Whens this new BH5 coming out??!??  got links?
Just got my two 1 gig kits of TmIIs from NewEgg today. They are UTT sticks with AA4T code, week 9 of '05 (05094). Can't wait 'til my other parts come in for the new rig to test them! Couldn't go wrong at $105.50 per gig for UTT :) and I bought two gigs hoping to get at least two "better than average" sticks out of the four.
Question to all: In looking at Spare-Flair's pictures of TMSP on page 96 of this thread, I noticed and was wondering about two things...
1) My TMII's and his TMSP's have the exact same model number of M2G9J16A-TT. Why would that be? Also, interestingly, the part number varies by only one digit (in the middle of the P/N, his(all?) TMSP reads ...TTFF... and my TMII's read ...TT9F...)
2) On the farthest upper right corner of the PCB, the TMSP's have what look to be 8 contacts, but no chip. Just below this is where a small 8-leg chip is soldered (right side of stick in middle). My TMII's have a larger chip placed in the farthest upper right position where the TMSP is vacant, and no chip in the right middle position where the TMSP does have one. Would anyone know why there is this difference between the two? By the way, the PCB numbers (KO-6633) are the same for both the TMSP and the TMII.
So basically it's a dice throw when ordering from newegg whether you'll get UTT or or not?
Cuz the pic they have for the 512mb modules of SP have code AADT, which from my understanding is not even Winbond chips; but the 256mb modules in the pic they have AA4T and the two dots.
do they act like BH5 ? the only difference between BH5 and UTT is that BH5 can do trc=7 ,TRFC=12 in much higher MHzQuote:

We'll know in a few days, NewEgg got my RMA and shipped out replacements for the bad TMII set. Hope they are UTT.
Here we go! ;)Quote:

Testing this ram right now , 241MHz @ 2.0-2-2-5-1T @ 3.7V so far . Good ram for 100 $ . ;)
http://img7.exs.cx/img7/1787/twinmos0021kd.th.gif
that's extremely high voltage for such a poor oc... :stick: most UTT should do that at 3.1v. (atleast i do)
Just recieved the same sticks as Gorod, one errored out at default settings so they are going back.
They use the "Windbond" modules so hopefully I will get the same chips on my RMA. :toast:
 I am sorry guys , but the memory won't pass Super PI 32M at 2.0-2-2-5 . Rock stable only 2.0-3-2-5 @ up to 245MHz , so its not Winbond UTT ??? 245MHz @ 2.0-3-2-5-1T @ 3.3V what kind of chips are those ? I will try lowering voltage later
try raising voltage...
if it sez AA4T its UTT according to earler pages, are you on 1T or 2? NF2 or A64?
So the new Twinmos Speed Premium is BH-5 or CH-5?
nForce3 Ultra @ 1T . I tryed to raise up voltage (up to 4.0V !!!) , still crashing with 2.0-2-2-5-1T @ any speed , but it works fine with 245MHz @ 2.0-3-2-5-1T @ 3.3V
actively cool it. gets mighty hot
Try your sticks one at a time Gorod, one of mine turned up bad.
And yes these are the "Windbond" chips JDizzle. (AA4T) :toast:
heya... finaly got my a64 rig up and running :0) the bios is a complete nitemare... nevber seen so many things to change ;0(..
is there anywhere i can get a complete list of settings that would suit this memory?...doesent have to be absoluty blisteringly fast..... just as fast as possible without compramising stabilty :0)
thnx!
Here is a basic guide.
Further testing on my SpeedPremiums found one stick was getting rare errors in test #8... and this is why system was rebooting occasionally.
So to recap, got 4 sticks of SP (all AA4T "44D" week6 05), A,B,and C sticks are all flawless and run 250Mhz 1T 8,2,2,2,2.0,14,16,e,e,f,e, auto/auto @ 3.5Vdimm.
Stick A runs any DIMM socket the same, Stick C runs any socket the same, but stick B only likes DIMM3, so A + B or C + B or A + C or C + A all run great in dual channel 250Mhz. But B + A or B + C (with B in DIMM1/2) is a no go over 245mhz.
Stick D doesnt work 100%, infact at any setting/voltage/fsb it gets a handful of errors in memtest86+ v1.51 test #8. Same bit (#10) in same area 39-46MB address. So stick D is going back RMA time. I'd luv to just be done and have all 4 sticks ready and willing to play with A64 S-SOI.
Still no results posted for 4 DIMMs in the new A64 chips, though that thread in "AMD" section on Venice looks promising, still I'd like to see results.
Odd thing, CPUZ calls DIMM1 "slot #3" and DIMM3 "slot 1"..... weird.
wow those are some thorough results bro good job...
what can 05094 - 50D twinmoss UTT do.did anyone tested it?

I have 1 good and 1 bad, #1 does 255@3.3V 1T on my DFI UI and the second one does 225 1T @3.3v
There are many others on EOCF who have similiar sticks as me most have great results and one other has 1 good 1 bad like me.
Buying 4 sticks IMO is the best way to go if you can do that...
Keep the best 2 and sell the other 2 ;)
this is a good idea if i can sure about 2 of them will be good i will buy :D.
Hey guys, if your looking for a simple way to help keep that ram cool when your pumping 3.6v through it...check out this little mod that was dreamed up by one of the guys over at OCF. Here is a link to his thread, should you be interested. I just posted this in one of the ram cooling threads, then it occured to me that someone here might find it useful.
http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=350891
It was inspired by a combination of the "rubber band" method and the Thermalright fan clips.
This works too :)
http://forums.extremeoverclocking.co...d.php?t=113513
The thing that makes these clips just a tad better in my mind is that the fan is elevated over the modules, without any contact, therefore, no vibrations and perhaps a little better airflow. The Zalman bracket is also a good alternative. The bottom line is just getting more air flowing, regardless of how you get it done.
someone also mentioned that vibrations can damage ram,I dont believe that though, such a small vibration cant make any huge impacts.
Either method is good...up to you guys to decide which one you prefer ;)

OT: wow 100 pages :D
I really don't know how much impact, if any, a fan's vibrations could or would affect the modules. I'm not really advocating one way or another, but I did think that this was a pretty cool idea the guy came up with. I'm tinkering with one, trying to add some springs in order to make the mounting just a little more secure.
To be honest, its hard to beat the Zalman (or similar homemade) bracket for ease and effectiveness.
A bit off topic but since you're talking about cooling the memory, looks like the SuperTalent Memory Cooler has been reborn on the Abit Fatal1ty mobo as "OTES RAMFlow". I elected to go with a Zalman bracket and 92mm fan. Just wish I could get it positioned a bit closer. If someone comes up with a twin 60mm fan solution mounted like the aforementioned SuperTalent and Abit cooling products, I'll jump on it. :D Hmmmm ... maybe I'll start looking around for the old 60mm fans, rubber bands and paper clips previous posters mentioned.
try PM *chew... he got that an8 fatal1ty board
i dont think he need/use that ram cooler :hehe:
Finally gave up the Twinmos SP AA4Ts on my current mobo and put them in a DFI LPUT 240HTT 2-2-2-6 3.2v 1:1 and they seem perfectly happy. I'm hoping the HyperX BH-5 I pulled from the LPUT (which did 252 2x512 on that single channel) will see the same jump Eva2000 saw with his BH-5 sticks (Level II PC3500) when he put them in his DFI NF4. Hopefully they like 3.4v more than my Mushkin Promo BH-5 did.Quote:

I think the chips are better than the chips of the speed premium pc3200
less than 7CFM ??? there is no way it's enough for high performanceQuote:

Ubermann: Where? Shipping to Finland shouldn't be terrible.
My newest puppy's ran 1000 passes 230Mhz 3.2V no errors. Im testing in Infinity now, 3.38V (3.2V in bios) is the highest they like, they error at 3.5v but are doing 245Mhz 1T 8,2,2,2.0 flawlessly... tied with other TMII sticks with UTT I have. Guess the "50D" chips peak at 245mhz in my system, while the "44D" chips manage the magical 250mhz.
I realize they are based on CH5 die, but somebody FIXED something cause they kick the snot out of any CH5 ive ever seen.... and most BH5 on NForce2 as well.
Is this a god ram? TwinMOS Speed Premium PC3500 512MB CL2.5 Winbond BH-5, 32*8/16chip, 433mhz, 184-P

good stuff here...
update :
twinmos m.tec 05094 aa4t 512x2 2-2-2-5
spi 2m and 3d mark
all at 3.4v
:rehab:
i just cant believe you that some mtec does 260 at 3.4 :PPP
only 2 out of 6 stick does 260, other run good at fsb 250ish 3.2v .. weird huh? :hehe:
damn...cant get pass 253@3.2 this mobo is startin to piss me off now too :( on DFI NF3 with tictac BIOS and cant get 3.3v+ to work using OCZ psu....argggggg!
yea, for some reason my mobo won't go past 3.2V even though my 3.3rail is at 3.8
but i'm not too worried because my DFI ultra-D is in RMA right now. so once i get that back these chips will be seeing 3.6 at least. i can boot up with 260 at 3.2, so i hope that means i can get that to be stable...
ordered the twinmos cheap TMII stuff. got them at newegg on monday for 103per GIG kit. got 2 kits! both AA4T
I'm going to be picking up two 512 MB sticks, which I'll probably be able to pick myself. I have an NF7-S and an OCZ DDR Booster. Do I go for the UTT based AA4T or BH-5 based 1A4T? I know in the past BH-5 > than CH-5, but the new UTT/CH-5 chips really are going great guns.
Oh decisions decisions...
isnt nice having a choice again with out having to pay the price? We all should get together and write winbond a big thank you letter. :toast:
Heh, sure they would appreciate that.
It is still a serious question though, if I were to get the choice, which do I stand the best chance of high FSB and tight timings with? The UTT or BH-5?
Can you post a picture of the label that is on those "value" sticks. Or at least provide the TM product codes? Are those the same sticks (non SP) that newegg has in stock (the regular PC3200 dual-packs).Quote:
