thankyou very much!!! I did what ya said and so far all has been well, you did mean more cpu vcore correct?
Anytime!
No, glad to see that has helped you though. What I meant was more Vtt voltage (CPU Termination), raise that a bit and then you possibly will be able to lower your vcore back down a bit
Yes, it is safe and with 8GB you may need more anyway, maybe 1.28-1.34. You are fine to use 1.4-1.45 if need be, but you should not need that at all.
Keep the Vtt amount under Vcore though
Good luck with the testing, hope it helps you get things stable
guys i have a question:confused: regarding memory in general with this board some people say that it is also undervolted by about 0.2v...
so does it mean that Radaja who posted his template where the RAM runs at 2.2v in reality only runs at 2v:shrug:
Hi , Im new here this is gonna be my favorite thread
I OC'd my E8400 to 3.91, but it reboots & crashes if I try to get it to 4.0GHz.
What can I plugin or change in the BIOS to get it to boot and run stable @>4.0GHz?
It was orthos stable (@3.91 for about 1/2 hour) before I canceled the stress test, I'd rather get it over the 4.0 barrier first and then stress it overnight.
Thanks

Does anyone have issues with the UD3R/P waking up from sleep mode when running 500FSB...at 467FSB no issue...now at 500FSB my computer goes constant reboot cycles when I wake up from sleep mode.
I have an issue with it waking up as well but, to be honest I've never had a motherboard do it correctly so I just turn it off.
guys a quick question...a month ago i installed a dedicated 9800GT ECO for PhysX my main card its a GTX285, now i realize that maybe both are working on x8 Speed at PCIE ?
i dont know if i did wrong, games with PhysX run amazing rest i dont see dif but on 3DM06 scores are lower now...
Cheers !
Sergio
Sergio,
That is correct. With two cards installed on a P45 chipset board they are both running at 8X, but there shouldn't be a big hit in performance though.
I used to be at 4.25ghz with 8.5x500, I went back to 4ghz 8x500 (back to air cooling) and could lower the voltage just a little bit, I think 0.25V or something and since then sleep has been working. Not sure which made sleep working again, lower multiplier or lower voltage, but having sleep working is actually quite nice.
Here is what the rig in my sig has been running at for almost a year now.

Getting ready to build a new 1156 rig, and will be selling the E8400, Memory and board. Will be posted in the For Sale section in a week or so.
Some early testing with dice, 5147mhz :)

Hahaaa, I noticed my positions went down in the HWbot rankings - good work buddy!
Yallo all,
For as long as the Core architecture has been around, I'm still really a noob for tuning reference/GTLs. I need some help getting stable at at least 4.2 (I'm trying to hit 4.4, I should be able to make that,no?). I've made it to 4.2, but after ~8 passes, I get a BSOD in w7. I can fill in one of those profiles to let you know what my settings are now a bit later - let me know if you need to know anything else. Are there any good guides on how to tune reference voltages or GTLs? Just trying to figure this out...
