Okay, because I recently bought a X1900XT 256mb and she's a terrible clocker, with 1,5v it does 710/782mhz. :(
I´m using AT 0.25b14Quote:

I never had your specific issue because I always just manually switched between 2D/3D profiles I set up when entering and exiting a game. So I never encountered the video problem.
then, u can explain me your method? . I´ll have to disable ATI services? You overckoking vvideo card with ATITOOL (version?)? Or CCC?Quote:

Again see that thread I linked, I put a big response in it. After duplicating the video issue in both ATI Tool and ATI Tray Tools, I settled on using Overclock 3 in ATI Tray Tools for my overclock from now on.Quote:

7. What happens when your CrossFire Edition card and and a compatible standard Radeon (CrossFire Ready) graphics card have different clock speeds?
A. Both cards will continue to operate at their individual clock speeds.
No, its not. This card is 10c cooler than my old 6800GT during load. :PQuote:

If you don't want to flash the bios and not mod it there's no way to do it.

Hey guy's Hope someone can help me out... As descrived above, Im having the same Probs as your having Kasius. Im Using ATITool 0.25 Beta16 Pre3 and when i load My Ocing profile which is 711/805 and launch a video on Windows media Player or any others, my monitor goes black and i have to reboot... Also when i set the default 2D Clock which are 500/600 and then launch a Video, it downclocks to like 499/356 or even lower (Dont remember exacly). I tryed to set 3D Detection so that when i'd start a game it would Load the Oced profile and when surfing or watching movies i'd use the Default 2D Clocks even if it downclocks it dosent matter as im not into any Apps requiring more than the lowered clocks and it cause some Weird Problems when loading Games...some would just Crash so im like Huh what to try now ? Does anybody know what should i try ? I tryed some other version such as 0.25 Beta14 and it does not even reconize my card at all... I have a Saphire X1900XT 512Mb. ANy Ideas ?
Im about to try ATI Overclocker but have some Questions before.
When Using ATI Overclocker should i disable ATI Hotkey poller ? Or should i Oc the 3D Clocks and then, when launching a Game, it would throttle up to the Oced 3D Clocks ?
Also there something Confusing me whit that tool... The volatges settings...
When i tick the 2D Clocks box at the bottom it shows me 499/594 Clocks, GPU core Voltage to 1.200, RAM core voltage 2.10 , I/O Voltage 2.10.
And when i tick the 3D Clocks box at the bottom the GPU and RAM Clocks change to 624/720 but the volatge stays at the Default 2D Clocks voltage settings which is GPU core Voltage to 1.200, RAM core voltage 2.10 , I/O Voltage 2.10. ?! Should it be lick changing to the 3D Clocks Volatge settings ? And shouldnt the 2D Clocks voltage be like 1.175v on the GPU Core and 2.086v on the RAM's Core ???
Thanks!
I tried OCing my x1900xt 256mb and I actually get lower 3dmark scores when I did. Anyone else experience this?
Im sure someone can Help us down here ?
x1900xtx
740/837 stock volts on water
I could get like 770/890 but the voltage/performance ratio and my time isn't worth it
Sapphire X190XT 256mb
I solved part of my problem. I cannot OC my memory for some reason, maybe I have to increase voltage to do that?
By increasing just the core my 3Dmark is slowly increasing.
thats all aroud the forum :
to overclok x1900 cards with atitool you have to close in taskmanager --- ( 2 x CLI services) and (ATI2vxx.exe servce ) .
Then open atitool , create a profile with a name wich not "Default" , create a prfile like "clokdef" then go to voltage panel and set 1.425v( default 3D voltage) and save that voltage in the profile you have create only then go to the cloks and you must type with keyboard in the windows (Core/memory) the stokcloks (625 for the core and 725 for the memory) and finaly save that cloks to the profile where you previus saved the voltage ("clokdef" profile) .
Now just start overcloking from this profile , simple ;)
EDIT : new ATITOOL 025Beta 16 Pre 3 relased already have x1000 series control , we dont need to do nothing anymore :D

Wondering if anyone can help me...
I've got X1900 Crossfire (X1900XT and X1900, both HIS with the IceQ3 coolers).
I've been using ATI Tray Tools recently and overclocking (I guess?) one of my cards to 685/810 with vGPU 1.425v. No other voltage option changes.
I thought this was working well for me, except when I ran 3DMark06 I actually ended up with a lower score (about 9400) with my E6700 at 4.3Ghz than I did when I overclocked my cards individually with ATiTool to 680/800, with my CPU running 3.6Ghz (got 11335 then!).
As I've disabled both ATI services am I right in thinking then that one of my cards is running at 685/810, and the other is running at the 2D speeds of 500/600?? I can't think of what else could cause my scores to be so much lower.
So last night I tried ATITool again, set up a profile for 685/810 (1.425v/2.086v/2.086v, and whatever the other one is by default) but the problem I'm having is that I can apply this clock to one card, but when I choose the other card in the drop-down menu and apply the same clock my system will always stop responding shortly afterwards... screen goes black, monitor switches off, etc. It doesn't seem to matter which card I apply this 685/810 speed to first, as soon as I apply it to both I just get a lockup.
Is the problem as simple as not running enough voltage for the overclock? Is there something else obvious I'm missing?
Also - how do I know which card I'm overclocking when I choose one from the drop-down menu in ATITool?
Also - finally - when I boot Windows the screen goes black and comes back about 3 times, is this normal when Crossfire is enabled?
Anyone? :(
OK dumb question, but how do I tell if my ram on my X1900XT is 1.1ns or 1.2ns? I haven't pulled my cooler yet but I checked some pics online and it doesn't look like it says specifically "1.1ns" or whatever on the chip.
the only way to tell is by pulling the cooler and checking the engraving on the ram itself.
Right I know that. Thing is from looking at pics the chips don't say specifically "1.1ns" but instead have a coding of some sort so I wanted to know what to look for on the chip to tell whether it is 1.1ns or not. I don't want to pull the cooler and have no idea what I'm looking for.Quote:
